*Rooaar…*

Suddenly, a shrill and resonant, resembling a Dragon’s roar, rang from the earth.

It was long and ancient, carrying an indescribable majesty.

Upon closer inspection, the entire arctic island was shaking slightly, as if there was a terrifying existence, slowly awakening.

Meanwhile, deep within the arctic island…

A towering root began to tremble slowly. Its pitch-black bark glistened with an inexplicable luster. In addition, a crystalline luster also began to pulsate through the entire root, from top to bottom. And as the crystalline luster flowed through the root, it appeared as if the massive root had been given life. What was even more terrifying was that its pitch-black bark gradually became harder, resembling scales…

The root would eventually turn into a Dragon.

Right now, the transformation has started…

At this moment, sensing the changes in the depths of the earth, Yu Zi Yu’s lips curled slightly. The Wood Dragon ability was different from others; it was more like a long-term evolution. It could not be improved instantly like other abilities.

Be that as it may, it was sufficient for Yu Zi Yu. He could clearly sense that his primary root was undergoing a strange transformation, slowly evolving…

When this transformation was complete, he would gain an entirely new ability.

Of course, for now, the most intuitive manifestation of the Wood Dragon ability was the terrifying speed at which Yu Zi Yu absorbed Spiritual Energy from the earth.

Visible to the naked eye, countless strands of yellowish-brown Spiritual Energy flowed into Yu Zi Yu’s primary root.

With the influx of every strand of Spiritual Energy, Yu Zi Yu’s root became a bit more harder.

It was extremely strange yet marvelous.

“I wonder if one day it will truly become a Dragon?” Looking at the scale-like bark covering the primary root, Yu Zi Yu was somewhat astonished.

Dragons were mythical creatures. They were the totem of China, a mysterious existence that couldn’t be described or depicted. It might be impossible to bring them back to the world through conventional means. After all, they were mysterious creatures that didn’t exist in the mortal realm.

However, if someone like Yu Zi Yu absorbed the essence of Heaven and Earth, there might be a tiny possibility of giving birth to a Dragon.

However, just as these thoughts crossed his mind, Yu Zi Yu promptly suppressed them.

Even if it transformed into a Dragon, the root would still be a part of his body, and moreover, the most crucial part.

For him, it wouldn’t have much impact.

The greater possibility was that Yu Zi Yu, due to his root transforming into a Dragon, would shed the trunk and become another indescribable creature.

And this was also an idea hidden in the back of Yu Zi Yu’s mind. However, this was just a pure fantasy; after all, it was too fantastical.

…

While Yu Zi Yu was enhancing the primary root, a long and reverberating roar suddenly rang in the deep sea near this arctic island.

*Rooaar..*

The next moment, the ocean currents surged, turning into one stream after another, all flowing into the dark depths.

Immediately after, a pair of blood-red eyes, resembling red lanterns, slowly emerged in the deep sea.

They were filled with cruelty and tyranny, and also with a tinge of indescribable joy.

Its owner had sensed a Spirit Treasure maturing somewhere in the sea.

Without a moment of hesitation, or rather without even thinking, it started rushing toward a certain direction, pushing the deep sea water.

For an existence like it, nothing was more important than a breakthrough.

At this moment, not only it, but also many sentient Sea Creatures were converging toward a specific direction. However, compared to its terrifying body spanning thousands of meters, most sea beasts were just too small.

Not to mention, its fiendish tentacles danced like demons…

*Boom, boom, boom…*

Every move of its tentacle tore through the ocean, creating a violent shockwave that shook a large part of the ocean.

At the same time, a frightening Spiritual Energy began to surge.

In a flash, the deep sea started to distort as erratic electric arcs streaked through the water.

Spiritual Field—The symbol of Tier-3. The concentration of a million Spiritual Energy can even distort magnetic fields, which in turn ripples through reality, affecting the surroundings.

Due to the unique ability of Tier-3 Transcendent, some of the Human tracking weapons could not even get close to them. Within the Spiritual Field, all electromagnetic communication methods would be blocked.

In this regard, it should be brought to notice that Zi Yu’s Spiritual Field could cover an area of several hundred kilometers. Although it did not cause distortion in the surroundings or electric arcs to streak across the entire hundreds of kilometers of land and sky, the invisible force was strong enough to neutralize most scientific methods of Humans.

This was also the reason why Humans were vigorously developing Superpowers nowadays. Not only were scientific weapons struggling to suppress the growing number of Transcendents, but the birth of every Tier-3 Transcendent meant the distortion of the planet’s magnetic field to a certain extent.

By the time Tier-3 Transcendent could be found everywhere, this world would have truly become a world of Tier-3 Transcendent. By then, unless Human technology made another breakthrough, the so-called ‘science’ would be struggling to survive amidst the clash of Transcendents.

In that moment, the vast expanse of icy ocean surged, with billowing waves rising in an instant, sending cascades of white froth into the air.

However, this wasn’t the most important thing.

The crucial point was that at some point, jet-black dense clouds blanketed the sky, obscuring the earlier crimson eyes, giving the impression of sunset.

The world grew calm and silent, enveloped in an oppressive atmosphere. The deafening sounds of surging waves, reminiscent of thunder, became increasingly ominous. Vaguely, amid the vast expanse of deep blue sea, a gigantic shadow rose from the depths, resembling a small island, but appalling to the extreme.

What was even more suffocating was that this shadow, like a small island, was moving towards a certain direction at a frightening speed.

*Rumble…*

Accompanied by a deafening clap, a pale lightning bolt cut through the pitch-black sky.

A storm was coming!

…

“Hmm!?”

The towering Willow Tree rooted at the summit of an arctic island with dancing silvery-white branches narrowed his eyes.

In this pure white world, thousands of branches danced, stirring up a storm of ice and snow that spread chilling air in all directions.

For a moment, the temperature of the entire island dropped several degrees.

“What’s happening, Master?” Seemingly sensing the unusual air, Nine Tails lying on the treetop suddenly lifted her body.

“It seems like something interesting has detected me,” answering in a seemingly yet not smiling tone, Yu Zi Yu gradually restrained his aura. Because he was afraid… afraid that his terrifying Spiritual Energy might startle certain beings.

After all, encountering such a ‘powerful’ prey was not an easy feat!
