Yu Zi Yu decided to put aside the matter of the Mutant Chimpanzee Tribe for now.

As a trump card personally created by Yu Zi Yu, this troop was definitely able to cope with most situations. They were certain the special forces among the Mutant Beasts.

As for the ‘sacrifice’ that Qing Gang was concerned about, it was inevitable. After all, casualties were inevitable in warfare.

Take the last battle of Sunset City for instance. According to the information sent by Bull Demon, Tyrannotitan had sustained significant injuries in that conflict, along with a Transcendent Mutant Wild Boar and two Transcendent Azure Wolves.

Not to mention, many Tier-0 beasts that had died in battle.

That was how the victory in Misty Mountains was truly paved.

Of course, compared to the sacrifices of Misty Mountains, Sunset City of China had undoubtedly suffered greater casualties.

If not for Qing Er’s message, half of Sunset City might have been razed to the ground.  By that time, reinforcements from China would have arrived, making it challenging for Bull Demon and the others to escape.

It was kind of a blessing.

At least Qing Er, hidden among Humans, had indeed done an excellent job.

She had been taking care of Misty Mountains, openly and secretly.

…

After a brief chat with Qing Gang, Yu Zi Yu also signaled for him to leave.

“Then I’ll take my leave, Master.”

Bidding his goodbye, Qing Gang’s figure slowly merged into the earth.

“This guy is getting more and more proficient in Elementalization.” Smiling, Yu Zi Yu also raised his perspective, surveying the surroundings.

Apart from quite a few ice sculptures of Mutant Sea Creatures in the distance, most were familiar figures, lying in various corners of the island.

However, within a day or two, they would leave with the carcass of the Tier-3 Transcendent Octopus, leaving only the few that were present before on the entire arctic island.

As well as, the newly arrived ally — the Mutant Polar Bear Tribe.

[However, are they really allies?] Smiling, Yu Zi Yu did not pay much attention to this term. [This word was probably used by Old Ninth to deceive the Polar Bear Tribe. Despite his simple and honest appearance, he is quite shrewd. He hasn’t learned much about the good aspects of Humans, but when it comes to ‘playing possum to eat the tiger,’ he has learned around 80% of it. Those unfamiliar with him might be easily deceived by his simple and somewhat ‘cute’ appearance.]

[So, when I leave, I’ll leave the task of guarding this arctic island to Old Ninth.] After some thought, Yu Zi Yu began to devise a plan in his mind.

Compared to him staying on island for just one or two months, Brewmaster would have to endure a quite long period here.

[His strength has reached a certain threshold. The Ice-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine here will be the perfect opportunity for his breakthrough. If my guess is right, he should be the second Tier-3 Transcendent born in Misty Mountains. Still, that should happen half a year or even a year later. By then, whether I’ll still be a Tier-3 Transcendent or not remains uncertain.]

Thinking about this, Yu Zi Yu’s consciousness sank into his tree body, preparing for the final sprint.

“System, upgrade my secondary root.”

“Yes,” Yu Zi Yu agreed without a moment of hesitation.

Currently, his Spiritual Energy had reached a staggering seven million. As a result, it became imperative to expedite the comprehensive upgrade of his body.

Only by doing so could he gain quicker mastery over his vast Spiritual Energy and unleash a fraction of the power of Tier-4.

Of course, each upgrade was also a means for Yu Zi Yu to increase his Spiritual Energy.

This was why Yu Zi Yu liked upgrading one after the other.

He had sufficient Evolution Points to upgrade multiple parts at once, but the subsequent rise in Spiritual Energy density in the surroundings, caused by the upgrade, would go to waste.

After all, the speed at which his tree body absorbed Spiritual Energy was limited.

Even if the Spiritual Energy was dense, his absorption speed could not surpass a certain threshold.

And just at this moment…

With a tremendous boom, a raging and powerful surge of energy welled up within the depths of Yu Zi Yu’s tree body.

Immediately after, one of Yu Zi Yu’s secondary roots trembled violently before this robust root surged continuously toward the depths of the island, as if filled with inexhaustible energy, causing the entire arctic island to quake uncontrollably.

At the same time, an indescribable force also coursed through this secondary root.

This force was vast and majestic, and exuded an indescribable sense of terror.

Before this secondary root, the earth seemed as fragile as paper, pierced through by the root with just a gentle touch.

The secondary roots were the most powerful and terrifying weapon in Yu Zi Yu’s arsenal. Not not only were they as hard as iron but could also grow and spread freely.

Of course, while ‘as hard as iron’ was emphasizing the hardness of the roots, the roots were many times harder than ordinary iron.

According to Yu Zi Yu’s estimation, unless it was an existence of the same level as him, no one could breach his defenses.

His formidable defense, coupled with the Divine Ability of Crystallization, bestowed upon him the capability to endure nuclear weapons.

It was a proof in itself of how terrifying Yu Zi Yu’s defense was.

As a part of Yu Zi Yu’s body, the secondary root was even more extraordinary in terms of defense.

However, now, the hardness of this root was gradually increasing, and even more terrifying was that it continued to spread towards the depths of the earth.

5,000 meters…

6,000 meters…

…

8,000 meters…

In just a few breaths, the length of this root seemed to have undergone a qualitative change.

Right at that very moment, Yu Zi Yu felt a force permeating the root, a completely new force.

The feeling it evoked was indescribable, but undeniably terrifying. Because the very moment Yu Zi Yu sensed this force, it made him feel a bit uneasy.

“Assimilation…” a murmur escaped Yu Zi Yu’s lips as his pupils contracted.

Assimilation was the terrifying power bred by Yu Zi Yu’s secondary root after reaching level four, granting him the ability to transform all physical objects into roots upon contact and then manipulate them.

“This power…” Gawking, a hint of astonishment involuntarily appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s face.

The emergence of this power had shaken Yu Zi Yu a little bit. Simply because this power was not something that could be explained in ordinary terms. It involved the conversion of energy and matter, resembling Principles.

It was an indescribable and terrifying power that went beyond the general norms.

“Perhaps, as I speculated, Tier-3 is merely a stage for self-improvement, and a genuine qualitative change occurs after reaching Tier-4.

Tier-4 Transcendents are designated as Natural Disasters by Humans, perhaps because they begin to tap into a power known as Principles, possessing divine powers akin to Gods.

Furthermore, the top-tier Tier-4 Transcendents among them can destroy the entire ecological system of the planet with their own power, and then establish a ‘brand new ecological system’ with themselves at the top.

Yu Zi Yu had now gained a deeper understanding of the dreadfulness of a Tier-4 Transcendent.

Of course, this was just Yu Zi Yu’s speculation, and the exact specifics still remained uncertain to him.

However, if it turned out to be true, Yu Zi Yu feared that breaking through to Tier-4 would pose a tremendous challenge. Simply because such entities could affect the survival of other organisms.
