“Should I spend all my Evolution Points on upgrading the Mutant Branches?”  After pondering for a while, Yu Zi Yu chose to give up.

Spending all his Evolution Points in upgrading as many Mutant Branches as possible at once was undoubtedly a good choice. However, it did not seem urgent at the moment.

At least for now, it was beneficial to absorb the Spiritual Energy from the Fire-Attribute Spirit Stone Mine while upgrading the Mutant Branches. After all, every time he upgraded a Mutant Branch, it triggered a massive surge in energy, creating a vortex of Spiritual Energy that accelerated the absorption rate.

As such, with the abundant Fire-Attribute Spiritual Energy in the surroundings, Yu Zi Yu’s Spiritual Energy growth rate would increase by at least threefold.

Consequently, he could gain an additional 200,000 – 500,000 Spiritual Energy in the same period.

Considering this, Yu Zi Yu thoroughly suppressed the impulse to upgrade the Mutant Branches all at once.

“When the Spiritual Energy’s rate of absorption slows down, I’ll upgrade one branch and thereby accelerate the absorption rate.” Saying so, Yu Zi Yu started creating a plan in his mind.

According to his estimation, he would use up all 2 million Evolution Points in less than a month, or maybe even half a month. By then, hundreds of Tier-4 branches would be scrambling about, which would be more than just scary.

Time always passes in the blink of an eye while cultivating. In a flash, it was morning already.

Over the course of that night, the high sky over the Himalayan Mountains was completely ablaze, as if a sea of fire had blanketed the sky

A branch, surrounded by raging flames, swayed gently, even causing the clouds and mist to ripple.

At that moment, if one were to look toward the northern part of the Himalayan Mountains, they would undoubtedly see a vast expanse of dense fog surging toward the northern territories.

“Master, is our next goal for the north?”

In response to Bull Demon’s muffled voice, Yu Zi Yu nodded his affirmation.

Then, he turned his gaze toward the northern territories, and stated, “The northern territory is vast and is abundant in resources, sufficient for us to hunt.”

At this point, Yu Zi Yu seemed to have remembered something as he added, “Remember, Bull Demon, the Spirit Stone Mine, Spirit Plants and Flowers are our most needed resources. If you find them, make sure to…”

Before he could even finish his sentence, the nearby Bull Demon already understood his intentions. He momentarily bent town on his forelimbs and assured in a low voice, “Understood, we won’t disappoint you, Master.”

With those words, the second eldest among the nine Great Beasts, the calm and composed one, slowly turned and walked toward the direction of North Canyon.

…

Soon afterward, deep within North Canyon, in a place as frigid as an ancient ice cavern…

*Hiss…*

With a hiss, an enormous white Serpent slowly raised its body.

“Second Brother,” calling in a soft voice, White Snake gazed at Bull Demon, who had walked out from the depths of the darkness.

The Mutant White Snake was a Mutant Snake brought back by Sarcosuchus from a canyon along the Yangtze River.

She possessed Ice Elemental Talent, making her unbearably cold. Now, in order to better store the food of the Misty Mountains, she had transformed a deep underground location into an ice cavern and even had been guarding it for a long time.

At this point, it should be brought to notice that White Snake was already a Transcendent.

Baptized by the second round of the Spiritual Energy Tide and nurtured extensively by Yu Zi Yu, White Snake had advanced very easily.

After all, her talent was exceptional.

If it were not for the fact that she was still young, having just been born not long ago, she would have become one of the nine Great Beasts by now.

Be that as it may, the benefits she was receiving now were not that bad either.

As one of the hidden aces of the Misty Mountains, hidden deep underground, she had ample resources and could focus on cultivation. Such treatment was no less than that of the nine Great Beasts.

Even Qing Er used to joke that White Snake was the Guardian Spirit Beast of the Misty Mountains.

“Master is now interested in the northern territories. Do you want to join us?” Looking at White Snake, which had already grown several meters long, Bull Demon smiled and extended the invitation.

The north was a land of extreme cold. It was a paradise for Mutant Beasts with Ice Elemental Talent like White Snake. Furthermore, with White Snake’s keen perception, she would be able to sense the fluctuations of Ice-Attribute Spirit Plants and Flowers immediately.

This detail was not lost on Bull Demon, who, after consulting with Yu Zi Yu, took the initiative to invite the White Snake, who had never made an appearance before the other Mutant Beasts.

“Um… I can come out!?” A little surprised, White Snake’s ice crystal-like eyes flickered a hint of joy. However, after a moment, as if she remembered something, White Snake looked back, looking back at the large cave behind with a tinge of hesitation in her gaze.

At this moment, as if sensing White Snake’s concerns, Bull Demon explained, “Master has already agreed, and he also said that given the cave’s extremely cold temperature, the ice won’t melt in the short term. Is that enough for you to leave?”

Hearing Bull Demon’s voice, the White Snake suddenly hissed with joy. “Is that true?”

With a hint of excitement, her long and jade-like body slightly danced in joy.

However, one must admit that true beauty transcends species.

Take White Snake for instance, her body was white as jade, no less smooth and shiny to Mutton Fat Jade.  Furthermore, her body was slim and petite, giving off a refined and delicate charm.

At first glance, instead of evoking fear, she aroused genuine affection. If she were a Human, this lady would definitely be a beauty that could captivate a nation.

“In that case, this Little Sister will naturally go with Second Brother.”

For her, who had always longed to explore the outside world, this rare opportunity was something she would not refuse. After a moment, the White Snake suddenly raised her head.

*Rooaar..* The next moment, a roar, reminiscent of a Dragon’s roar and a Snake’s hiss, resounded as a cold breath shot from her mouth.

In a moment, at a speed visible to the naked eye, white mist actually began to fill the originally frigid ice cave, while the surrounding rock walls began to freeze.

In just a few seconds, the ice cave was completely frozen, turned into a world of ice.

“I’ve frozen the cave again. It should be able to hold for three months.” Having stated this, White Snake wriggled her body before shooting toward the surface, leaving a white streak, like an arrow fired from the bow.

Her speed was so astonishing that even Bull Demon narrowed his eyes.

“It seems she is pretty strong.” Looking at White Snake’s departing figure, Bull Demon praised in his heart, revealing a satisfied expression.

Bull Demon was not one to compete or seek dominance. The stronger his companions, who were like family, the happier he was.
