*Schlick, schlick…” Tearing through the storm of feathers, countless leaves shot straight toward the Giant Black Eagle in succession.

Before it could react, the Giant Black Eagle was struck by countless willow leaves.

*Screech!* The Giant Black Eagle, covered in blood, let out a painful screech.

While these were just ordinary willow leaves and had been shot from tens of kilometers, given Yu Zi Yu’s current power, their might was not to be underestimated.

However, this was not the end.

While the Giant Black Eagle was enduring the rain of countless willow leaves, a root as thick as a water bucket arrived underneath it, below the ground.

The next moment, the root, surging with Spiritual Energy, suddenly broke through the soil and shot straight up into the sky.

From the distance, it looked like an enormous Python rising from the ground.

Facing Yu Zi Yu’s premeditated root, not to mention the Giant Black Eagle in its present state, when it was already having difficulty dealing with the willow leaves, it would have been extremely difficult for it to resist even in its heyday.

However, better safe than sorry.

In order to prevent the Giant Black Eagle from escaping, Yu Zi Yu had intentionally diverted its attention using the Flying Willow Leaf Blade.

At this moment, the towering tree root had already arrived near the Giant Black Eagle.

By the time the Giant Black Eagle finally reacted, numerous fine rootlets suddenly shot out from the thick black root.

These rootlets quickly enveloped the Giant Black Eagle, like a net.

In a flash, amidst the Black Eagle’s painful screeches, it was bound by countless rootlets.

Then, before the Giant Black Eagle could respond, Yu Zi Yu fiercely pulled the root down.

Immediately after, with a deafening boom, the ground shook as a rift extended along the earth, heading straight toward the canyon.

Yu Zi Yu did not pay too much attention to these Transcendent Creatures.

Mutant beasts had strong vitality and would not easily die. It was especially true for the Transcendent Giant Eagle like this.

Dragging it on the ground for tens of kilometers would not kill it, instead it would only dull its edge.

[Perfect!] Mischievously smiling, Yu Zi Yu accelerated the root once again.

Along the way, countless trees were knocked down, and the rift was stained red with blood.

…

Several minutes later…

The Giant Black Eagle had been dragged back to the canyon by the root.

However, it no longer looked as majestic as before. Its feathers were disheveled and covered in dust, and its entire body was stained with an indelible dark blood color.

At this moment, as if sensing something…

*Screech, Screech…* Crying out in intense rage, the Giant Black Eagle looked toward the depths of the clouds of mist, where a towering tree stood.

“In my territory, even if you’re a Tiger, you must prostrate before me, even if you’re a Dragon, you must coil before me.” With a light chuckle, Yu Zi Yu swung a branch.

The next moment, with a resounding ‘smack,’ the Giant Black Eagle fiercely trembled as a blood-red mark appeared on its body.

“It didn’t make a single sound even after getting lashed by my branch. It seems like its willpower is quite strong.” With a touch of appreciation, a satisfied look appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s face.

By the looks of it, another formidable member was going to be joining his team.

As for why Yu Zi Yu was so confident he could tame the giant Transcendent Eagle, it was quite simple. In over thousands of years of history, Humans had developed a well-established system to tame Eagles. While Yu Zi Yu himself might not know them, he could arrange for Ling Er to learn them.

Once Ling Er learned these techniques and applied them to this giant Transcendent Eagle, it would most likely yield results quickly.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu slightly narrowed his eyes as a series of information flooded into Yu Zi Yu’s mind.

Race: Mutant Eagle

Rank: Tier-1 Transcendent.

Innate Talent: Tempestuous Might – Every time it flaps its wings, it creates a powerful storm. It’s a powerful bird that can truly control storms.

Unique Abilities: Arrows of Feathers – It can manipulate its own feathers, which are as sharp as blades, and shoot them at extreme speeds like a rain.

Sharp Talons – Its talons are as hard as metal and can tear through anything.

Scales of Feathers – The feathers covering its entire body were extremely hard and strong. They can reduce the incoming damage by forty percent.

Compared to other Transcendent Creatures, the abilities of the Giant Black Eagle were relatively straightforward. Nonetheless, this simplicity made Yu Zi Yu narrow his eyes slightly.

Sometimes, simplicity did not mean worthlessness. On the contrary, it represented a kind of true terror.

Just like this giant Mutant Eagle, which could navigate in and out of the horde of beasts, taking on seven or more opponents at once, relying on its terrifying Innate Talent, the Tempestuous Might, combined with its ability, Scales of Feathers with the help of which it could reduce incoming damage by 40%.

Not every mutant creature needed to have many abilities.

Those with limited energy would find it hard to master them all.

Creatures like this Giant Eagle, with just a few simple abilities, would reveal their true power when they had completely mastered them.

Of course, it was just plain unlucky for a ruler of the sky to run into Sarcosuchus, Qing Gang, and now Yu Zi Yu in succession.

To survive through all that was already quite a testament to its strength.

At this moment…

*Tap, tap tap…* Followed by light footsteps, a young girl with shiny black hair, who had just finished bathing , walked out from the dense mist.

“Wow, what’s this?” With a touch of surprise, Ling Er looked at the Giant Black Eagle, which was tightly bound by numerous tree roots not far away, her eyes lighting up.

“This is a giant Transcendent Eagle. It’s quite strong and was just captured by me,” explained Yu Zi Yu, smiling.

At this moment, as if she had thought of something, Ling Er suddenly rushed over, rubbed against Yu Zi Yu’s tree trunk, and asked with a smile, “Master, can you give it to me?”

“Uh…” Momentarily stunned, Yu Zi Yu could not help but ask with curiosity, “Back then, you didn’t want Nine Tails to follow you. Why do you want this Giant Black Eagle today?”

“Hehe…”

With a playful smile, Ling Er also explained, “This Transcendent Eagle can carry me into the sky, flying through the clouds. More importantly, it’s so majestic. When I return to the Human world, I can make a big entrance on this Transcendent Eagle and leave everyone in awe.”

Ling Er’s explanation left Yu Zi Yu speechless.

However, after giving it a thought, riding on a giant Eagle would indeed look pretty majestic.

Thinking this, Yu Zi Yu agreed with a nod, “If you can tame it, then go ahead and take it.”

He had always felt indebted to Ling Er, or more accurately, to Qing Er. Now, if he could make amends with this Transcendent Giant Eagle, that would be best.

After receiving Yu Zi Yu’s permission, Ling Er’s smile became even more radiant. She tiptoed and like a gentle breeze toward the Giant Transcendent Eagle.
