“It’s not the time to dwell on all of this now,” muttering to himself, Yu Zi Yu slowly started extending his body.

Moments later, much to the Mutant Beasts perplexion, Yu Zi Yu’s tree body began to rise from the ground.

100 meters…

200 meters…

300 meters…

Yu Zi Yu’s height continued to increase at a pace visible to the naked eye.

In the blink of an eye, it broke through the mist’s blockade and disappeared into the depths of the night sky.

Subtly, his countless branches shimmered under the starlight. At a glance, it looked both divine and terrifying.

“What’s that?” Far away, in a city, someone stared in the direction of Misty Mountains, seemingly noticing something.

“What!?”

With a hint of suspicion, a woman followed the man’s gaze.

Moments later, as if she had seen something unbelievable, a sharp scream pierced through the night sky.

“Oh my God!” Tightly covering her mouth, the woman stared in astonishment at the colossal tree that had covered the sky in the distance.

However, compared to ordinary trees, this particular tree appeared to be draped in starlight. Its branches that resembled willow tendrils were emitting a green glow, filling the night sky with a radiant aura.

At this moment, this sight was not just witnessed by this couple. One after another, other Humans on the street also noticed the towering tree rising in the north.

“Oh my God? Is this a joke?”

“It must be fake, right? I must be still asleep.”

“Has a Tree Monster born, or has a Tree God descended on this world?”

…

Cries of surprise rang one after another. The entire city broke into an uproar.

However, it was not just the nearby city.

Thanks to the satellite network established by China, this daunting and dumbfounding scene had spread across the internet.

…

Meanwhile, at the headquarters of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau…

“What’s going on?” Accompanied by hurrying footsteps, the Deputy Director of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau rushed over.

“Deputy Director…” Gritting his teeth tightly, a young man pointed to the holographic display not far away. After a moment, a horrifying sight entered the Deputy Director’s sight.

In the pitch-black night, a towering tree tore through the clouds and filled the night sky.

It was shining brightly, as if adorned with stars.

It had an arrogant yet dominating presence, like none was above it.

“This… this…” The Deputy Director stuttered as her face turned as pale as snow, even beads of sweat could be seen appearing on her forehead.

“The terrifying existence hiding in Misty Mountains has finally appeared in the world, but I never expected it to be a Spirit Tree.”

A sigh escaped an old man’s lips, feeling helpless.

“A Spirit Tree!?”

Deeply staring at the enormous tree that covered the sky on the screen, the Deputy Director bitterly smiled before asking doubtfully, “Are you absolutely certain it’s a Spirit Tree and not a Tree Monster?”

Saying this, the Deputy Director’s expression suddenly turned grave as she immediately ordered, “Quickly, check the Peak Spiritual Energy of this Tree Monster. I need to report to the higher-ups immediately.”

However, after a moment, looking at the motionless crowd, the Deputy Director’s face suddenly changed, and angrily shouted, “Are you all deaf? I told you to check the Peak Spiritual Energy of this Tree Monster!”

“Deputy Director, the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellites of Sichuan belt have been destroyed.”

Forcing a bitter smile, the elderly man continued explaining, “If I’m not mistaken, those satellites should have been attacked by this Spirit, no, Tree Monster. After all, according to the last images received from the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Satellites, the thing that hit them was leaf-shaped.”

“…”

The Deputy Director’s face gradually stiffened as she fell into silence.

Clearly, this series of information had left her bewildered.

Not long after…

*Ha…*

Exhaling a long, deep breath, the Deputy Director suppressed her shock and ordered in a deep voice, “Then do a rough Spiritual Energy assessment. I need to know what Tier of Transcendent this tree is.

Next, notify the military immediately and prepare for defensive measures. If necessary, consider a nuclear strike.

Lastly, convene the senior staff of the Spiritual Energy Monitoring Bureau for a meeting…”

After a series of consecutive orders, the Deputy Director hastily left the monitoring room and headed to her office.

“The trouble is really big this time.”

The Deputy Director let out a resigned sigh. She knew that an event significant enough to shake the entirety of China and even the entire Human race had occurred.

…

However, at this moment, Yu Zi Yu had no knowledge of the turmoil he had caused. Or perhaps he knew but simply did not care.

For a very long time, an incredibly long time, he had been cautiously hiding within Misty Mountains.

But now, he was a Tier-3 Transcendent with a Peak Spiritual Energy of one million eight hundred thousand. Furthermore, he had harvested nearly a million Evolution Points during this recent Beast Tide.

Whether it was his strength, or foundation, it was ample.

However, that was not the most important thing.

What was most crucial was that the second round of the Spiritual Energy Tide had arrived.

He could already feel the earth trembling, as if it were craving something. Powerful and majestic fluctuations were spreading upward from deep beneath the earth’s surface.

Compared to ordinary people and even Mutant Beasts, as a tree with roots extending thousands of meters deep, he had the clearest perception of the Earth.

In other words, if nothing unexpected happened, a true cataclysm was about to occur.

Not just a city, nor a province.

Not even a country, nor a continent.

It was a cataclysm that would affect the entire planet.

And in the face of such a cataclysm, how could Humans have the time to pay attention to him, when they would have trouble safeguarding themselves?

In other words, at this moment, he could finally fully extend his body.

His towering, majestic body that he had concealed from Human sight, to shield it from the prying eyes, could finally reveal itself to the world tonight.

At this moment, feeling that his growth had reached its limit, Yu Zi Yu slowly opened the perspective from the treetop.

After a moment, what entered his field of vision was the land and mountains shrouded in mist.

Misty Mountains, Raya Mountains, and even Human cities fell into Yu Zi Yu’s sight.

Viewed from high above, everything appeared tiny.

*Ha…* Taking a deep breath, he savored the beauty of looking down from up top.

Yu Zi Yu focused his gaze, and with a surge of Spiritual Energy, the scene in his perspective continued to zoom in.

After a moment, Yu Zi Yu could clearly see a valley, where a stream was flowing and swirling, splashing shiny and silvery mist.

This was a utilization of Spiritual Energy that allowed him to have a clearer view of the distance. It was similar in principle to a Human telescope.

The difference was that a telescope relied on external tools, while Yu Zi Yu depended on his own abilities.

Shifting his gaze, Yu Zi Yu turned it toward a Human city located about 20 kilometers from Misty Mountains.

This was the most isolated city closest to Misty Mountains.

With his elevated perspective, Yu Zi Yu could clearly see that the city was surrounded by walls that were several tens of meters high.

“So, this is what Qing Er referred to as the defensive walls guarding the city?”

He could not help but smile, finding it quite amusing.

He had no idea about the conditions of other nations, but China seemed to have made good preparations before the impending cataclysm.

“But can they really weather it?” With a playful expression, Yu Zi Yu stopped pondering this question. It was because, at this very moment, the real cataclysm had arrived.
