At this moment, a long and deafening trumpet reverberated across Maple Leaf City.

*Pffffteee* In the distance, the gigantic Elephant lowered its head.

“I… am willing to follow you, Divine Tree…” The voice, although hoarse like before, carried a sincere tone. Even when Yu Zi Yu heard it, the corners of his mouth could not help but curl up.

“Great, great.” Heartily laughing, Yu Zi Yu extended his branches and took away the roots binding the Mammoth.

Just like that, he had subdued a potentially powerful Mutant Beast without having to use much persuasion.

Yu Zi Yu was pleasantly surprised by this.

More importantly, the Mammoth’s Innate Talent was strong enough for it to bear the title of the Seventh Great Beast under his command.

Thinking of this, Yu Zi Yu took the initiative to ask, “Do you have a name?”

“No,” replying in a muffled voice, the Mammoth shook its head slightly.

“In that case, I’ll give you a name.”

After some consideration, Yu Zi Yu spoke again, “You were originally a beast from the Ice Age, and now your species have returned in the Era of Transcendence. I bestow upon you the name ‘Tundra.ʼ”

“Tundra,” the Mammoth murmured to himself, his eyes slightly flickering. He seemed to be pondering, or perhaps contemplating.

Right at that very moment, Yu Zi Yu’s voice rang in his ears once again, “In addition, I bestow upon you the title of ‘Seventh Great Beast.ʼ”

“The Seventh Great Beast!?” As if realizing something, a glint of joy passed through Mammoth–Tundra’s eyes. Among the Mutant Beasts of Misty Mountains, the Nine Great Beasts were recognized as the top force under the Divine Tree’s command.

Currently, there were only seven of them, but no one could undermine their status.

Especially with the recent addition of the Ninth Great Beast, the Panda, the Wine Immortal named Brewmaster, it elevated the status of the Nine Great Beasts to the highest level.

Now, when the title of the ‘Seventh Great Beast’ was bestowed upon him, he felt special.

Before he could give any more thought, a branch lightly touched his body.

The next moment, a crisp snapping sound rang before a drop of thick essence fell upon him.

“This is Life Essence, it can stabilize your foundation.” As Yu Zi Yu was explaining, Tundra felt a refreshing sensation washing over his body. Immediately afterward, his entire body convulsed, and he experienced a warmth akin to being embraced by a mother.

After he was finished with the Mammoth, Yu Zi Yu’s gaze shifted to another colossal beast brought by Bull Demon.

It was huge.

In a corner, a huge beast with short and thick forelimbs, which looked quite terrifying and horrendous, was standing quietly. It happened to be another Atavistic Mutant Beast, a Dinosaur. Moreover, it did not appear to be an ordinary dinosaur. Its frame was extremely tall, and the tail thick and hideous.

The tyrannous gleam surging deep within its eyes would cause any onlooker’s pupils to contract.

“It looks a bit like the legendary Tyrant Titan–Tyrannotitan,” Yu Zi Yu murmured to himself, his pupils narrowing slightly.

He had some impression of Tyrannotitan. It was a formidable Dinosaur, ranking among the top predators and second only to the most famous Dinosaur, the Tyrannosaurus.

If the Tyrannosaurus was the tyrant at the end of the Cretaceous Period, then describing the Tyrannotitan as the tyrant from the early to mid-Cretaceous Period would not be an exaggeration.

Furthermore, Tyrannosaurus meant Tyrant Lizard, while Tyrannotitan meant Tyrant Titan.

Just from this, one could easily imagine how closely related these two Dinosaurs were.

Not to mention the fact that their size, their ferocity was practically identical.

Even now, the gaping maw of this suspected Tyrannotitan was wide open, and it happened to be dripping with red blood. Near its feet lay a lifeless carcass, a Tier-0 Level 6 Brown Bear.

During the short time Yu Zi Yu and the Mammoth–Tundra were conversing, the Brown Bear had become its meal.

*Crunch, crunch…* The beast voraciously kept chewing. Suddenly, as if it had discovered something, it slowly raised its gaze and looked coldly at Yu Zi Yu.

“…”

Silence, both of them. Everything seemed to have fallen into a deathly silence.

However, in the midst of this deathly silence, countless pieces of information flashed in Yu Zi Yu’s mind.

Race: Mutant Lizard

Rank: Tier-0 Level 9

Innate Talent: Atavism—Born as a lizard, and evolved into a fearsome species of the Cretaceous period. Whether its physique or ferocity, both are far beyond the current norms.

Unique Abilities: Dragon’s Roar — Its roar is like a Dragon’s roar, extremely oppressive. Weaker Mutant Beast would involuntarily shiver upon hearing it.

Scale Armor — Its entire body is covered in a layer of scales, which provides it a powerful defense.

Sharp Claws — Its menacing claws are extremely sharp, and can tear through the defenses of most Mutant Beasts.

Berserk — The sight of blood triggers a berserk state, multiplying its combat power.

Iron Tail — Its huge tail is as hard and strong as iron. Even a casual swing can shatter rocks.

As he went through the status screen of this giant menacing beast, Yu Zi Yu could not help but be satisfied.

“Its Innate Talent is probably stronger than Sarcosuchus’,” murmured Yu Zi Yu.

At this moment, when he looked at this behemoth, his eyes could not help but shine.

It was not a casual remark, he genuinely felt how strong this behemoth was. Even more terrifying was the fact that it had just reached Tier-0 Level 9, and yet it possessed such fearsome strength.

Had it not encountered Yu Zi Yu, the most fearsome Tyrant King the entire continent had ever witness would have been born in the future.

Of course, it was quite possible that another Tyrant King might have also been born by now.

Regardless, now, all depended on this behemoth submitting to him.

As these thoughts swirled in his mind, Yu Zi Yu looked at the giant beast and slowly asked, “Are you willing to follow me?”

“…” The giant beast did not reply, it just stared deeply at Yu Zi Yu’s tree body. However, at this moment, if one looked into its eyes, they would undoubtedly notice that it was suppressing something; there was a hint of vigilance flickering in the depths of its eyes.

“Interesting.” Yu Zi Yu smiled, having understood a little. It wanted to resist, but it recognized the gap in their strength, and temporarily suppressed its impulses.

[Amazing, truly amazing.] Praising in his heart, Yu Zi Yu calmly extended a branch.

The next moment, under his smiling gaze, the menacing behemoth allowed Yu Zi Yu to touch its body.

Its exterior surface was extremely rough but beneath this rough hide, Yu Zi Yu could also discern the formidable resilience and toughness of this colossal creature’s hide.

According to Yu Zi Yu’s speculation, this colossal creature was likely capable of fighting Tier-1 Transcendents at just Tier-0 Level 9, depending on just its terrifying physique. This was verified during the previous Beast Tide. It alone charged straight through Yu Zi Yu’s Tree World, showing destructive power no less than an ordinary Transcendent.

With such formidable combat prowess, coupled with its Berserk ability, which granted it increasing strength as the battle raged on, it was not difficult for it to take down foes of higher Tier.

However, as the tyrant of the Cretaceous period, if it could not take down foes of higher Tiers, it would be unworthy of the title–Tyrant.
