Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1330: Qi Qingxiu’s Decision

”Why do you look so upset, Qingxiu?”

”Your son-in-law brought my subconscious into dreams he created several times in the past two weeks, and I couldn’t do anything to stop him.” Qi Qingxiu’s answer made Nalan Shizhe and Ye Mingran smile in amusement, especially because of the blush on her cheeks. She immediately sat in front of them and asked questions. ”Is it true that the Fairy King has fallen? Aren’t Mo Shentian and Jiu Mozu’s subordinates protecting him?”

”According to Nalan Qinghe, Long Wuzhao made a move against Jia Zizhen, and he revealed several recordings of his meetings with Mo Shentian, Mo Zainan, and Jiu Mozu.” Qi Qingxiu looked at Nalan Shizhe in disbelief because she was quite familiar with the character of the dragon emperor. ”He didn’t do it himself, but Zhang Fei exposed everything. In fact, he defeated the fairy king, and he also defeated Mo Shentian and Jiu Mozu’s subordinates at the same time.”

Qi Qingxiu herself didn’t know the details of Zhang Fei’s strength, so she didn’t know whether to believe that he managed to defeat them or not.

Nalan Shizhe spoke to Qi Qingxiu again. ”It’s understandable that you doubt Zhang Fei’s ability to defeat them, as you are not yet familiar with him, but that’s the truth. Long Wuzhao acted as a shield to prevent Mo Shentian and the Jiu Mozu from pursuing him. Even though the two demon gods didn’t know about his involvement in the fall of the fairy king, they started hunting him now.”

”Why are they hunting Zhang Fei?” Qi Qingxiu asked in confusion.

Ye Mingran looked at Nalan Shizhe. ”I think it’s time to tell Qingxiu the truth about Zhang Fei.”

”Truth? What kind of truth?” Qi Qingxiu asked them.

”Watch them for yourself.” Nalan Shizhe created a few qi screens, all of which show her meeting with Zhang Fei and the others at the opening of the new Moonlit Passion Temple half a year ago.

Qi Qingxiu was seriously watching those qi screens, but her jaw dropped when she saw Zhang Fei transform into his demon and fox forms. She remained silent and listened to Long Wuzhao and Feng Yao explaining the writings left by the ten-tailed fox regarding him.

After the qi screens disappeared, Qi Qingxiu looked at Nalan Shizhe and Ye Mingran in shock and disbelief. ”What—”

”Are you going to doubt Empress Huo Yanling’s words?” Qi Qingxiu’s lips twitched at Ye Mingran’s question. ”Zhang Fei’s ability to shift realms comes from his beast identity, which is the Heavenly Fox Race. That fox race is not an ordinary one, and their two ancestors were born after Hu Tianlang split himself into two.”

Nalan Shizhe then spoke to Qi Qingxiu. ”All demon races have never known about Hu Tianlang’s existence or the writings he left behind, but the beast and natural races have known everything for a long time, and they have been waiting for the appearance of his successor. Since Jia Zizhen conspired with Mo Shentian and the Jiu Mozu, they both knew about it, and they were certain that Zhang Fei was related to the fall of the fairy king. Therefore, they sent their subordinates to kill him before he became too powerful, as his existence would pose a threat to them.”

”I see.” Qi Qingxiu nodded in understanding. ”So, what do you two want to do? Do you want to help Zhang Fei fight Mo Shentian and the Jiu Mozu? Are you going to sacrifice both of your demon races for him?”

”Qingxiu, you still don’t seem to understand the situation.” Qi Qingxiu wasn’t a stupid woman, and she was fully aware of the situation, but she felt that Ye Mingran and Nalan Shizhe were being too reckless if they wanted to help Zhang Fei fight them. ”He defeated Jia Zizhen with his cultivation still at the 2-Sun Celestial Lord Realm; how strong do you think he would be if he reached our level?”

”Zhang Fei will definitely surpass all senior cultivators, including us, at that time.”

”That’s right.” Ye Mingran nodded and continued. ”Not to mention, Long Wuzhao and Empress Huo Yanling are clearly on Zhang Fei’s side, and he has also begun to build his own force, which consists of all races. Do you still think that Shizhe and I will sacrifice our demon races by supporting him?”

Qi Qingxiu didn’t answer that and asked again, ”So, you two want me to join Zhang Fei, right?”

”Yes.” Both Ye Mingran and Nalan Shizhe nodded at Qi Qingxiu. ”We’ve both joined Zhang Fei, and Wu Mian is the same as us because his real body is in his hands now.”

”Moreover, Zhang Fei expressed his interest in you, and you can’t do anything to him anymore.” Qi Qingxiu’s face darkened after Ye Mingran mentioned that matter. ”If you remain neutral, Mo Shentian and the others will continue to oppress you.” If you stand against him, he can capture you anytime he wants by imprisoning your subconscious in the dream; thus, joining him should be your best choice, right?”

Qi Qingxiu was angry every time she remembered that, but she had long realized that she was already under Zhang Fei’s clutches. ”Alright, I’ll join him, and I’ll send two of my representatives to his sect.”

”Why don’t you send yourself to him directly?”

Qi Qingxiu fiercely glared at Ye Mingran. ”Why don’t you give yourself to him?”

”He’s not interested in me, and he’s only interested in you.”

”Humph!” Qi Qingxiu snorted and immediately disappeared without saying goodbye to them.

Ye Mingran also rose from her seat. ”Qingxiu and I can’t possibly evade them for long using our barrier, so I’ll return to my domain now. You can inform me immediately if there are any changes in the situation with Mo Shentian and the Jiu Mozu.”

”Alright.” After Ye Mingran left, Nalan Shizhe hurriedly returned to her room and sealed it to cultivate.

After a long and heated debate, the Fairy Race decided not to execute Jia Zizhen and his subordinates; instead, they crippled their cultivation and crucified them in front of the previous Fairy King’s grave.

Additionally, they immediately appointed a new Fairy King, as the leadership of their race could not remain vacant for too long. At first, they wanted Jia Xianzu to become their next king, but he refused their request because he had been out of touch with their race for so long, and he had also decided to assist Zhang Fei.

Just like Jia Xianzu, Beiming Youhuang also rejected their request because she already had another life, and she was completely satisfied with it.

In the end, the Fairy Race decided to appoint Jia Leixuan as their new king, and they immediately began preparing for his coronation. Like when Jia Zizhen became their king, Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun continued their duties as advisors to their new king because they were the most senior members of their race now.

Since they lost so many powerful members in one day, Long Wuzhao immediately announced that the Fairy Race was under his protection for the time being, and he would punish anyone who attacked them while they were recovering.

After everything was settled, Long Wuzhao and the two dragons left the Floral Mirage Domain and returned to their own domain.

As the chosen king, Jia Leixuan immediately discussed with Jia Lingzhu and Jia Shengyun, and he agreed with their idea of bringing their race to join Zhang Fei. However, they did not officially join the Moonlit Passion Sect, and he chose two of their best young generation to be their representatives in the sect.

Jia Xianzu and Beiming Youhuang returned to the Moonlit Passion Sect because Zhang Fei was in an unusual condition, and they brought two of their race’s best young generations to the sect.

Since Zhang Fei and Qing Qiu’er were absent, You Feiling received the two representatives from the Fairy Race, and she placed them in the area inhabited by the natural races from the Three Mortal Realms for their comfort.

Despite Zhang Fei’s situation, Mu Lingshu was completely satisfied after she dual cultivated with her husband for a few hours, especially since she could experience the pleasure of dual cultivating for the first time in decades.

Mu Lingshu lay prone on top of Zhang Fei, looked at him, and kept smiling to herself. ”Thank you, husband. You fulfilled your promise years ago to cure my stone body, and I can enjoy myself like my other sisters now. I hope this situation of yours will end soon, and we can enjoy our time together.”

Even though Zhang Fei still didn’t say anything, his eyes and expression showed that he was relieved and happy that Mu Lingshu was able to enjoy herself.

After that, Mu Lingshu called Zhang Fei’s other wives to enter and take turns dual-cultivating with him. However, only Zhang Chen entered, and she immediately took off her dress before joining him on the bed.

Mu Lingshu smiled at the sight, but she hurriedly left them because Zhang Fei and Zhang Chen would be dual-cultivating for the first time, so she didn’t want to disturb them.

Zhang Chen lay sideways beside Zhang Fei, and she looked at him while affectionately stroking his face. ”Fei’er, I want to do it with you under normal circumstances, but for some reason I always feel afraid, so I’ll take this opportunity to dual cultivate with you for the first time. Once you recover, I will definitely be ready, and we will do it again after that, okay?”
