Zhang Fei - The Abandoned Son

Chapter 1329: Mo Shentian - Jiu Mozu Moves

”I think you’re right about them.” Mo Shentian narrowed his eyes outside his palace window. ”Unfortunately, Jia Zizhen has fallen now, and I’m sure the Fairy Race will sentence him and his subordinates to death for their betrayal of Jia Xinghua. Even if we want to find Zhang Fei, we have no clue about his whereabouts, and we can’t possibly search for him randomly in the other 90 domains.”

”Speaking of the Zhang surname, I’ve heard of that clan before.” Mo Shentian returned his attention to Mo Zainan. ”There is only one Zhang Clan in this realm, and they live in the Starfall Martial Domain. Although they are humans, they are one of the strongest in this realm, but their strength still cannot be compared with our demon race.”

”But—”

”Jia Zizhen did say that Zhang Fei ascended from the Three Mortal Realms, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility that he will join the Zhang Clan because they share the same surname. If he joins that clan, his life as a new ascender in this realm will be much easier.” Mo Shentian nodded in agreement with Mo Zainan. ”Whether he joins that clan or not, we should send someone to investigate first, and we’ll find out later. However, we must do everything carefully so as not to alert Long Wuzhao, let alone Empress Huo Yabling.”

”Yes.” Mo Shentian immediately contacted someone to come to them.

Before long, Mo Taizi came to them, but he was not alone, and he brought the fake Nalan Wangzi with him. ”Why did you call me, Father?”

”Taizi, your ability in disguising your demon aura is the best among your brothers and sisters, so I want you to go to the Starfall Martial Domain to investigate the Zhang Clan.” Mo Shentian’s order surprised not only Mo Taizi but also the fake Nalan Wangzi. ”I want you to find a man named Zhang Fei, and you must inform me if you find him in that clan.”

”Who exactly is Zhang Fei, Father?”

Mo Shentian explained several things to Mo Taizi, especially regarding Zhang Fei’s identity as the chosen successor of the ten-tailed fox. ”According to Jia Zizhen, the ten-tailed fox is the strongest beast that has ever existed in this Paradise Realm; the strength of Long Wuzhao and the four perils pales in comparison to him, but he suddenly disappeared. However, he left a writing known only to the natural and beast races, which stated that the ten-tailed fox will return to this universe once again. He is not just a fox, but he is also a human and a demon, and he will bring peace back to this universe.”

Mo Taizi looked at his parents in disbelief. ”How is it possible for one living creature to have three identities in one body?”

”I don’t have an answer for you on that matter.” Mo Shentian replied with a shake of his head. ”However, Jia Zizhen said that the vast majority of members of the natural and beast races believe in the writing left behind by the ten-tailed fox, and they have long awaited the emergence of his successor. Unfortunately, that foolish fairy king failed to find him, and he has fallen from his throne now, so we have no other choice but to look for Zhang Fei ourselves.”

”Jia Zizhen believes that Zhang Fei is the ten-tailed fox’s successor, and he will become a dangerous threat to our demon race if he succeeds in becoming a ten-tailed fox and inherits the power of his predecessor.” Mo Taizi nodded in agreement to Mo Zainan. ”Whatever happens, we must find Zhang Fei at all costs, and we must kill him before he becomes too strong.”

”I know.” Mo Taizi then asked. ”Why don’t you two ask my brothers and sisters to look for Zhang Fei too? The more people who look for him, the faster we can find him.”

”Naturally, I’ll send them to look for Zhang Fei, and I’ll also send some others to look for him in other domains.” Mo Shentian then contacted his other sons, daughters, and some others. ”You must leave for that domain now, but you must leave your wife in our domain, or she’ll burden your duties.”

”Yes, Father.” Mo Taizi immediately walked away, followed by the fake Nalan Wangzi, who smiled faintly as she sent a voice transmission to Nalan Shizhe, informing her of their conversation just now.

Not long after, Mo Zixiao, Mo Tianqi, and several others arrived at the throne room. Mo Shentian and Mo Zainan immediately explained several things to them. ”Leave now and find Zhang Fei as quickly as possible no matter what.”

”Yes, Father.”

”Yes, Demon God.”

After they left, Mo Zainan stepped down from her throne. ”Husband, I think you should try to see Dong Xuanyin again, and I’ll go look for Zhang Fei myself.”

”You can go look for Zhang Fei, and I will think about seeing Dong Xuanyin again.” Mo Zainan said nothing and disappeared directly, and Mo Shentian hurriedly went elsewhere.

In the Nine Nethers Demon Domain, Jiu Mozu was also furious after receiving a report about Jia Zizhen’s situation from his subordinate.

Unlike Mo Shentian, who still forgave his subordinate, Jiu Mozu killed Jiu Hui because of his failure, thwarting Zhang Fei’s plan to spy on him.

Even so, Jiu Mozu was still unaware of Jiu Yaoming’s situation, and she was completely loyal to Zhang Fei now.

Jiu Mozu considered saving Jia Zizhen because he still needed the fallen fairy king, but his master forbade him from doing so. Just like Mo Shentian, he ordered someone to investigate the Zhang Clan in the Starfall Martial Domain, and he also sent many of his subordinates to search all domains in the Paradise Realm.

Since she was loyal to Zhang Fei, Jiu Yaoming reported the matter to him through his fifth clone. However, he didn’t respond to her because he was in an unusual situation, forcing her to wait for his order.

”Yaoming, what about Ye Mingran and Qi Qingxiu? Have they returned to this realm?”

Jiu Yaoming shook her head in response. ”Demon God, you ordered me to search for the Ma Clan members with Sheng Yaohun and the others before, so I haven’t been monitoring the situation of the other two demon gods.”

”I see.” Jiu Mozu nodded in understanding. ”Have you still not managed to find members of the Ma Clan’s branch clans?”

”Those people seemed to have disappeared into the earth, and we couldn’t find any trace of them at all.”

Jiu Mozu thought for a while. ”Send your minions to search for Ye Mingran and Qi Qingxiu in their domains now.”

”Yes.” Jiu Yaoming immediately carried out Jiu Mozu’s orders, and she reported to him some time later. ”Demon God, I cannot send my minions to their domains because both are currently locked down from the inside. Therefore, Ye Mingran and Qi Qingxiu should have returned by now, as they are the only two capable of doing so.”

’What happened to Ye Mingran and Qi Qingxiu? Why did they lock the domains down? Where did they go before? Is it possible that they were injured during their previous disappearance?’ Jiu Mozu fell into thought. ”Jiu Yuan, lead the others to help them search for Zhang Fei, and you guys must find him as quickly as possible. If you manage to find him, kill him on the spot, or he will become a dangerous threat to us.”

”Yes, Demon God.” After his nine subordinates left, Jiu Mozu also left his throne to meet his master, where they discussed several things, mostly about Jia Zizhen, Feng Yao, Long Wuzhao, and Zhang Fei.

Meanwhile, Shang Luohu and Shang Zhui had just arrived in front of the Blood Tree King, Shu Wang. ”Is that kid still in there?”

”Yes.” Shu Wang answered Shang Luohu. ”He’s not alone, and I sensed three other presences there, but I didn’t dare check their locations because of the ten-tailed fox’s soul remnant.

”Three other presences?”

Shu Wang told Shang Luohu directly. ”That kid has an unusual ability, and he can bring other people into this domain without our knowledge. Even though my roots can’t reach that place, I can still feel their presence, and all three are clearly women.”

Shang Luohu turned to Shang Zhui. ”Have you ever heard of a lust demon having such an ability?”

”No.” Shang Zhui shook his head in response. ”No lust demon has such an ability, Empress.”

Shang Luohu suddenly remembered Xie Yao’s explanation of the prophecy left by the ten-tailed fox in the past. ”If no lust demon possesses such an ability, I think he gained it from his beast identity, especially since no human techniques can do that.”

”I think so.” Shang Zhui then turned to leave. ”I believe we should avoid talking about Zhang Xiaolong, as my emperor may become increasingly uneasy due to his presence, which could be harmful to him.”

”Yeah, you’re right.” Shang Luohu followed behind Shang Zhui. ”I heard Ye Mingran and Qi Qingxiu have returned, but their domains are locked from the inside. Do you think their previous disappearances have something to do with Zhang Xiaolong?”

”I guess so.” Shang Zhui nodded in reply. ”Unfortunately, we haven’t seen Zhang Xiaolong’s abilities firsthand, so we can’t prove the truth yet. As for Ye Mingran and Qi Qingxiu, they’re probably injured now; otherwise, they wouldn’t have locked their domains from within.”

Shang Luohu looked back as she inwardly sighed. ’I hope my husband will come out of his seclusion soon.’
