Chapter 425: Chapter 424: Four Great Elders Suffer a Setback [2 more]

Gao Zhan returned to Flame’s side, while Song Ming went back to Elder Song Li.

”Jing Yan...” Gao Zhan didn’t know why Jing Yan would appear in Haofeng City.

”We’ll talk about this later,” Jing Yan waved his hand at Gao Zhan.

Gao Zhan nodded; it really wasn’t the time for reminiscing.

”Elder Song Li, the matter is now resolved, and it’s time for you to leave. I hope you won’t trouble Flame in the future,” Jing Yan said, his eyes stern.

”Heh heh...” Elder Song Li sneered.

His eyes, more white than black, slowly circled around, then suddenly burst with killing intent.

”Elder Song Li!”

”I want them dead! They all must die! Not a single one should be spared!”

”No... no! Don’t kill that bitch Gao Feng, I want to strip her naked, and let everyone in Haofeng City have their turn on her!” Song Ming cursed venomously.

Jing Yan’s expression turned cold.

”Song Ming, it seems you still haven’t learned your lesson! You were given one chance, two chances to live, yet you didn’t cherish them. You are better off dead. You’re just a disaster waiting to happen,” Jing Yan’s eyes flashed with cold light.

”You little bastard, today I will definitely tear you to pieces! Let’s see if you can still talk later,” Song Ming’s gaze bore into Jing Yan like a venomous snake.

”Elder Song Li, we from Flame can leave Haofeng City right now and never set foot in here again,” Li Yong suggested.

From Elder Song Li’s gaze, he sensed a bone-chilling murderous intent. He knew that Elder Song Li and other elders seemed unwilling to let Flame go. This statement was his last effort.

As long as the Song Family was willing to grant mercy to Flame, they would leave Haofeng City forever.

”Li Yong, it’s too late to say anything now. All of Flame’s members will not leave alive today. Since you’ve done what should not be done, you should be prepared to face the consequences,” Elder Song Li sneered.

Then, he turned sideways to another elder of the Song Family and said, ”Eighth Elder, stay close to Young Master Song Ming. Make sure no harm comes to him.”

”Yes!” The silhouette of the Eighth Elder of Song Family flashed as he positioned himself beside Song Ming.

”Elder Song Li, do it. Kill them all. Leave that bitch Gao Feng alive, kill all others,” Song Ming continued his mad curses.

”You’re truly seeking death!” Jing Yan’s lips twitched, his palm reached out, and the Skyfire Sword was in his hand.

”Pfft!” The Red Sword Light shot out, its power and murderous intent surging madly.

”Hiss!” In a flash, the Sword Light devoured Song Ming.

”Kill!” Li Yong also bellowed.

Within the Flame Adventure Team, only Li Yong had reached the Innate Realm; the others hadn’t advanced to Innate yet. However, as if by unspoken agreement, everyone attacked simultaneously upon Li Yong’s roar, treating the several elders of the Song Family like they were formidable spiritual beasts.

”You impudent brat!” The Eighth Elder saw Jing Yan move to execute Song Ming and his aura exploded. His hands reached out, and a sweep of black light erupted to block the Red Sword Light.

”Bang!” The Red Sword Light collided with the black light, barely making a sound. Then, the black light was torn apart; the Red Sword Light continued unimpeded, heading right toward Song Ming.

”No!” The Eighth Elder roared angrily; clearly, he had not anticipated the power of the Sword Light released by Jing Yan to be so formidable that his blockade had no effect whatsoever. Amid his roar, he hastened to strike again, fortunately beside Song Ming, his black staff just barely blocked the Red Sword Light before it consumed Song Ming.

”Boom!”

In just a blink of an eye, the Eighth Elder was sent flying backward. Blood spurted from his mouth, his face turned deathly pale. Meanwhile, the Red Sword Light penetrated Song Ming, whose eyes were wide.

”Ah!” Song Ming screamed, his body ripped apart, blood splattering everywhere.

Seeing this, Elder Song Li and the others were stunned.

Previously, Elder Song Li had the Eighth Elder, a Late Innate Realm Martial Artist, protect Song Ming, which in his view, should have been more than enough.

But he absolutely did not expect the Eighth Elder to be unable to withstand even a single blow from Jing Yan, being completely repelled, his life or death uncertain. And Song Ming was dead on the spot.

Elder Song Li’s heart violently shook. His first thought was how he would explain this to Clan Leader Song Zhongshan. His primary mission in coming to Flame was to bring back Song Ming, but Song Ming was now dead beyond dead, his body torn in two. He hadn’t even considered that he might not return himself, thus there was no need to explain to the Clan Leader.

”You... you dared to kill Song Ming?” Elder Song Li turned his gaze to Jing Yan, shouting.

”You brought this upon yourselves! If you had simply taken Song Ming and left, he wouldn’t have died. But you, you just had to seek death,” Jing Yan sneered.

Although he was speaking, his movements didn’t stop; he continuously waved the Skyfire Sword in the air, spreading Red Sword Qi everywhere, sweeping towards Elder Song Li and others.

”Roar!” The three from Song Li, all executed Martial Arts simultaneously.

Among the three, two were at the Peak of Innate and one was Late Innate. These caliber of Martial Artists were top-tier in Haofeng City. However, their Cultivation was leagues apart from Jing Yan. Jing Yan didn’t even use any Martial Arts, merely provoking Sword Qi with Primordial Energy.

Yet even so, the trio led by Elder Song Li couldn’t withstand the Sword Light released by Jing Yan. The power contained within that Red Sword Light was far too overwhelming for them.

Within a single breath, all three fell to the ground, meeting their demise.

Four elders from the Song Family approached with ferocity, intending to annihilate the Flame Adventure Team. But it turned out, in less than the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, they became four corpses.

Two at the Peak of Innate, two at Late Innate. These four, who represented a third of the Song Family’s top battle strength, had just been lost at the encampment of the Flame Adventure Team.

From the beginning to the end of the fierce battle, it had lasted only about two or three breaths.

Members of the adventure group like Li Yong, who had initially prepared to fight together to the death, had just summoned their weapons, barely joining the fray before the battle concluded. Four Song Family elders and Song Ming lay motionless before everyone.

Members of Flame watched Jing Yan in stunned silence.

Jing Yan, however, remained unfazed as he sheathed the Skyfire Sword.

”This...” Li Yong opened his mouth, only managing a single word.

”Jing Yan... what realm are you at now?” It was Gao Feng who asked this question amidst everyone’s astonishment.
