The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 1030: Chapter 1030: Catching a Turtle in a Jar

Han Jing wanted to comfort Madam Su a bit, but didn’t know what to say, so she had to continue trying and ask, ”Does Xia Wu have anyone she particularly favors?”

Xia Wu was able to dissolve her harem for her daughter’s whims and send those male consorts away, indicating how important her daughter was in her heart. From this, it can also be seen that she was very concerned about Xia Zhuzi’s emotions. If that’s the case, then how could she say such things about Su Huan in front of Xia Zhuzi? Isn’t it obvious that she’s disregarding Xia Zhuzi’s feelings?

Moreover... If Xia Wu was very concerned about Xia Zhuzi, she would have followed her or sent someone when she ran after Su Huan, after all, Xia Zhuzi is a patient, easily agitated, and should not be left alone in such situations.

There’s definitely something fishy going on here.

Madam Su shook her head, ”The Island Master’s personal affairs... outsiders naturally wouldn’t know, and we haven’t heard anything.”

Han Jing nodded, it made sense. She comforted Madam Su briefly, then got up to leave.

As she reached the door, Madam Su called out, ”Miss Han, wait a moment. Although I don’t know if the Island Master has anyone she particularly favors, I remember one time when Miss came to the mansion and was whispering with Huan’er, saying she particularly disliked someone named Miao Ke, and yet her mother actually kept him and didn’t drive him away, which really infuriated her. I overheard accidentally but didn’t eavesdrop further, so... I don’t know anything else. After all... regarding the Island Master’s personal affairs, I dare not inquire.”

Han Jing frowned slightly, ”How long ago was this?”

”Just over a year ago,” Madam Su said. ”In the past two years, those people at the Island Master Mansion have been sent away, so there’s really been no talk about male consorts in the Island Master Mansion anymore, so no one has paid attention to them.”

”Alright, I understand, thank you. Tomorrow, we will visit the Island Master Mansion. Rest assured, we will do our best,” Han Jing said to Madam Su.

Madam Su expressed her gratitude again.

After returning, Han Jing shared this information with Su Yu and Ning Shiqi, ”I think the killer is most likely this Miao Ke, of course, even if it’s not him, it must be related to Xia Wu’s other male consorts, otherwise, others wouldn’t have enough motive. Although the Xia Clan’s people are intent on getting Xia Wu to adopt an heir, they don’t live with Xia Wu, and they couldn’t possibly know her every move, and then conveniently plot against Xia Wu and Xia Zhuzi.”

Han Jing paced the room for a while, then stopped, ”So tomorrow, Su Yu, Shi Qi, and I will go see Xia Wu. Lianwu, you find this Miao Ke in the Island Master Mansion and make him tell the truth. It should be easy for you, right? Then have Little Black guard outside the Island Master Mansion, let no one out, we aim to trap them directly.”

As long as the opponent’s combat skills are weaker than theirs, this matter couldn’t be simpler.

Besides, they almost have a target now. Even without one, finding them one by one tomorrow is no trouble.

”No, to be safe, how about this, Little Black will go guard tonight.”
