The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 1007: Chapter 1007: Leaving Quietly

Guan Hong paused for a moment, evidently not expecting Han Jing to ask him that question.

Indeed, someone close to him had asked before, since he cared so much about Ning’er, why he would still try his best to ruin him. But he ultimately did not tell anyone, because some things are destined to remain secrets.

Keeping it a secret might be better.

People who can ask such questions are mostly sincere.

So Guan Hong was still quite surprised that his son, whom he raised to be a fool, was actually able to make a truly close friend in such a short period, which was indeed rare.

He felt a slight pang in his heart.

He did not answer Han Jing’s question, but after a moment of silence, he suddenly turned around and bowed to Han Jing.

Although there were no outsiders at the courtyard entrance and the servants had wisely retreated, the esteemed Island Master of Guan Mountain Island inexplicably bowing to an outsider like Han Jing still left her very surprised.

Han Jing frowned, not knowing what Guan Hong intended.

Guan Hong looked at Han Jing and said, ”I have an unreasonable request, might you agree to it?”

He sighed again after speaking: ”In fact, I would rather this unreasonable request never occur.”

Han Jing was somewhat perplexed: ”Speak.”

”If someday you meet Ning’er again and he... if he takes a wrong path, I hope you can, for the sake of your acquaintance, guide him well, and not let him... destroy himself.” Guan Hong shook his head, seemingly unwilling to say more, and left without waiting for Han Jing’s response.

Han Jing watched Guan Hong’s not-so-tall, somewhat short and plump back, and for some reason, she suddenly felt that as a father, he must have done his utmost.

Only later, much later, when she finally understood Guan Hong’s state of mind at this moment, did she regret why she did not fulfill Guan Shining’s former request to take him away at that time. Perhaps by moving far away from all the disputes, all that followed would not have occurred.

——

Han Jing returned to discuss with Su Yu and Ning Shiqi, and decided to leave within a few days. She knew Guan Shining kept clamoring to go with them, but considering how much Guan Hong protected his son, hoping he would stay well on Guan Mountain Island, she made an indecorous decision.

That is, to quietly leave in the middle of the night.

Thus, one night when Guan Shining was called back by Guan Hong for some business, Han Jing left a letter for Guan Shining and quietly left Guan Mountain Island with the others.

By the time Guan Shining returned in the morning to find everyone gone, Han Jing and the others had already left Guan Mountain Island.

——

Han Jing and the others reached another island through the passageway between the barriers, so when they arrived at the other island, it was at its border.

As it was midnight, the guards at the passageway entrance weren’t very diligent, so Han Jing and the others left quietly through the passageway entrance of the other island without being discovered.

Of course, since Han Jing and the others were not familiar with the situation on this island, they dared not act rashly, so they did not travel too far. Instead, they found a suitable place at the foot of a mountain to temporarily stop and rest, planning to understand the situation before proceeding after dawn.
