The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 932: Chapter 932: The More Spectators, the Merrier

So now that this beauty is right in front of him, whether he rejects or doesn’t reject, it’s become a major spectacle.

Sitting obediently by the side, demure and attentive, was Han Jing, who never expected that her random whim to coax Su Yu into holding this martial arts tournament would actually bring a romantic rival her way.

Although it’s certain that this rival won’t stir up any real trouble, if Su Yu were to accept this glass of wine, wouldn’t she lose face?

Besides the majority of people she didn’t know who were present, there were some she did. For example... Hall Master Ling Xiang, yes, their Pavilion Master from the Prayer Pavilion, her brother Lian Xichen was here, Brother Qiao was here too, and there were several others secretly joining the fun from behind: her precious daughter Xiao Xue, as well as Lianwu and the others.

If Su Yu didn’t accept this glass of wine, it would be disrespectful to the Flower Spirit Pavilion in public. Before the martial arts tournament started, Han Jing had secretly overheard them discussing that the Flower Spirit Pavilion was considered a top sect in the Spirit Cultivation Realm, and had good relations with all the sects. If they had come to the Spirit Flame Sect to show goodwill, and Su Yu publicly disrespected them, the one who’s shamed... would be the entire Spirit Flame Sect.

So this Meng Yuyou is really annoying, proposing a toast is one thing, but why call yourself a concubine, what nonsense?

Is it really alright to openly flirt with someone else’s husband like this?

Han Jing silently felt annoyed, waiting to see how Su Yu would handle this.

Su Yu...

So the reason he doesn’t like being a sect leader, or any kind of clan leader, is because he genuinely loathes such social interactions, as there always seem to be women wanting to throw themselves at him.

But as a sect leader, he couldn’t afford to be too willful; he had to bear the responsibilities he needed to bear. Hence, this sect leader role should be left to an old guy like his master, at least when beauties come to toast, they wouldn’t call themselves concubines.

This misunderstanding could grow huge.

Su Yu toyed with the wine glass in his hand, discreetly glancing at the crowd waiting for a spectacle, and Han Jing, acting like a carefree bystander watching the show. Being a sect leader truly isn’t easy.

Su Yu cleared his throat lightly, raised the wine glass, and suddenly the entire hall quieted down, everyone anticipating Su Yu to accept the drink.

Meng Yuyou lightly raised her brows, joy gleaming in her eyes. She had long heard of Spirit Flame Sect Leader Su Yu’s reputation, but unfortunately had never met him. Today, at their first encounter, even from afar, her heart was instantly captivated. She had never seen such a perfect man, so perfect that he deserves more than full marks for his prideful beauty, especially with his kind of elegance mingling with nobility, which even surpassed his handsome appearance and stirred one’s thoughts and yearnings. Such a man is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, and receiving even a shred of his favor would be a lifetime without regrets.

Thus, Meng Yuyou boldly seized this opportunity and gave him a sincere hint without hesitation; if he accepted this glass of wine, she’d offer not only her heart but herself as well.

She had heard that Su Yu was known for his cold demeanor, indifferent to women’s charms, and even disregarded the renowned Palace Master Han Qingjue from Beihan Palace. She had met Han Qingjue once, though beautiful, her personality was too cold, and such a woman, who never caves, no matter how beautiful, is challenging to capture a man’s heart.

Therefore, she believed that perhaps a stunningly exceptional man like Su Yu wasn’t disinterested in women, but rather preferred women who were bold yet gentle.
