The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 914: Chapter 914: Su Yu’s Worry (2)

Su Yu remained silent.

When it comes to matters of emotion, he actually is not as adept as Han Jing.

Because for him, his emotional experiences in this life are truly too shallow. Aside from that strong feeling of mutual indispensability and the desire to be bound together for life and death that he experienced with Han Jing, he is quite indifferent to other emotions. Therefore, he truly meant it, and he wasn’t quite sure how Han Jing felt.

Han Jing burst into laughter and suddenly leaned in to kiss Su Yu on the cheek. Su Yu, in turn, held her face and kissed her back.

They kissed until Han Jing was a little out of breath before she pushed him away, ”Cough, cough, this isn’t our home.”

Su Yu held her waist tightly, ”Then let’s hurry back.”

Han Jing pinched his waist fiercely.

”Your worries are not unfounded. Ning Lian and Bai Xueruo are master and servant. Bai Xueruo fell in love with Ning Lian, but Ning Lian did not fall in love with Bai Xueruo. They spend so much time together and share deep affections. Bai Xueruo is also so beautiful. Logically, Ning Lian shouldn’t be completely indifferent, but he really isn’t. This shows that he doesn’t seem to care much about matters of love. In fact, to some extent, he might even be a somewhat cold person. So your concern that Xiao Xue might get too attached to him and end up being hurt is reasonable.” Han Jing rationally remarked.

Han Jing nodded appreciatively, indicating that she understood his concerns.

”But aren’t you worrying a bit too early?” Su Yu hadn’t had the chance to praise Han Jing before she caught him off guard with this remark.

Su Yu...

Is this too early?

She herself even said that emotions develop over time!

”Alright, alright, let’s discuss serious matters.” As Su Yu was about to refute her, Han Jing quickly changed her tone and said with a smile, ”But you forgot something, Ning Lian is Ning Lian, Lianwu is Lianwu. Even if Lianwu regains Ning Lian’s memories, he is no longer Ning Lian.”

Su Yu was a bit puzzled; they are still the same person, no matter how much one changes, the essence shouldn’t change!

”Do you remember Ning Lian’s identity?” Han Jing asked.

Su Yu nodded.

Han Jing pinched Su Yu’s cheek, ”So, just imagine, if you were Ning Lian, standing in his position, would you allow yourself to fall in love with someone? As long as there is any ability to control, would you let yourself fall in love casually or give anyone illusions and hope?”

Han Jing had a pretty fair understanding of what kind of organization the Divine Clan’s enforcers are. Having been in the assassin organization for so many years, she understood that feeling all too well. It’s the kind of feeling where even if you like someone, you have to pretend not to like them, or perhaps you don’t even dare to show any feelings of affection. When a person is clearly aware from the start that they cannot possess things like love, unless they meet someone who makes them lose control, encounter a truly earth-shattering, unforgettable emotion that is completely uncontrollable, only then will they attempt to like, to try rebelling and changing their identity. But such instances are incredibly rare.

It’s extremely rare for an assassin, once fully aware of their identity, to allow themselves to be moved emotionally.
