The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 700: Chapter 700: Han Siqu’s Confession (Part 2)

Su Yaogeng’s face was quite unsightly, but Han Siqu, who was staring straight at her, was unusually serious.

”Speak quickly if you have something to say.” He better indeed have something important!

Han Siqu showed Su Yaogeng a broad smile, as bright and cheerful as a child, instantly causing Su Yaogeng to feel an illusion as if in a different era. When was the last time she saw him smile so purely and genuinely? It must have been a long, long time ago, perhaps back when they were still children. Everyone was very afraid of her, but he was the only one who dared to argue and bicker with her, always trying to pick on her even though he couldn’t bully her. Occasionally, when he succeeded, he would smile very joyfully, much like he was doing now.

As if it was such a happy memory.

But it was so long, long ago. Ever since their fates intertwined unexpectedly, he never smiled like that again.

They both changed, changed so much.

To the extent that, in the end, neither of them quite remembered what they originally looked like.

Han Siqu looked at Su Yaogeng, his face serious: ”Yao Zhen, do you still remember the night before I left, I was drunk and came to you causing trouble.”

Su Yaogeng’s face darkened again. Wasn’t this exactly what shouldn’t be mentioned! Were it not for him holding her arm right now, she’d really want to slap him again.

But Han Siqu was rather pleased with himself: ”I’m very glad you didn’t go looking for Han Si Que, that you really weren’t with him!”

This time, Su Yaogeng genuinely wanted to strangle him.

However, what Han Siqu said next left her dumbfounded.

”Yao Zhen, I like you, I’ve always really liked you.” Han Siqu’s sudden farewell left Su Yaogeng stunned, and she couldn’t help but frown. Did she hear wrong? He actually said that he liked her?

How could he possibly like her?

In those years, she not only interfered and ruined his life but also used underhanded means to force him to take concubines, which ultimately left him drowned in debauchery day after day. He must have hated her long ago, right? He would like her? What a joke!

”Since I was a child, I’ve always liked you. But back then, you liked Han Si Que, so even if I really liked you, I dared not have any improper thoughts about you. I never thought we’d end up married, even though I knew you didn’t love me, that the person you loved was Han Si Que, and I was merely a substitute, maybe not even that, just a tool you used. But I was still joyful because I always liked you. But no man is willing to be used and treated as a substitute, so I also hated you, both love and hate.”

”Even with all that, I once tried to be with you, wanted us to become real husband and wife. I didn’t want to just be a substitute, I hoped you’d discover my good qualities, even though I genuinely was, in many ways, not as good as Han Si Que. I sincerely wanted to be with you. I just didn’t expect you to reject me so completely, even resorting to scheming against me to make me take concubines. The more I loved you, the more I hated you, so I gave up. Until Han Si Que returned, until I realized that I’ve always loved you as much as I’ve hated you, that’s when I started to regret it, regretting why I wasn’t more shameless at the beginning. Even if you didn’t like me, even if you hated me, I should’ve held onto you tightly, refusing to let go, even if you schemed against me, I would never take concubines.”
