The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 654: Chapter 654: Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction

Han Jing...

So, this truly is a twist of fate. She unexpectedly ran into her absent father who ran away from home six years ago in such a place. What a remarkable coincidence!

”Dad, you, you wouldn’t have been living here all these years, would you?” Han Jing was taken aback. Is this really her father who only knew how to go out drinking and having fun all the time? She had never seen Han Siqu being so... unkempt.

However, he seemed to be in good spirits, and... Han Jing blinked. He wasn’t weak either?

What exactly happened in these years?

Although Han Jing had changed her opinion of Han Siqu quite a bit before he ran away from home, she had never imagined that he could change so drastically. This... it’s like evolving from a mere drunkard to a Spirit Cultivation expert! The difference... is terrifying!

”This is a long story, let’s walk and talk,” Han Siqu said, still surprised to run into Han Jing.

He couldn’t help but steal a few more glances at her, wondering... he didn’t know how Yao Zhen was doing either.

Han Jing saw his expression and knew what he was thinking. It was rare that he hadn’t changed his mind over the years and was still thinking about Mother. She said, ”Dad, don’t worry, my mother is doing great. She’s just a bit bored being alone in the Capital City. When we return this time, I’ll bring her over. You should come back with us!”

Han Siqu relaxed a bit when he heard that Su Yaogeng was doing well and was still single.

But his beard, along with suntanned skin, hid the slight embarrassment on his face.

”Ahem, that’s good,” Han Siqu responded, then turned to Jiangnan, covered in bandages, and asked, ”Jiangnan, what’s happened to you? Are you injured?”

Han Jing...

Indeed, her father hasn’t learned how to be one over all these years. Jiangnan was already this injured... and he only realized it now.

Jiangnan was equally confused: ”I’m fine... Foster father, who is this sister?”

”Oh, look at me, I forgot to introduce you,” Han Siqu said to Jiangnan, pointing at Han Jing, ”This is your sister, you can call her sister.”

Except for An Chuxue, everyone else was puzzled. When did Han Jing have a father? Wasn’t her father still lying in Beihan Palace’s underground palace? Who was this father?

Seeing their bewildered expressions, Han Jing introduced them, ”This is my dad. He... disappeared years ago. I never thought I would see him here.”

Han Jing was too embarrassed to say her dad had run away from home... at his age, to have such a childish behavior, was indeed peculiar.

Then she picked up Xiao Xue and said to Han Siqu, ”Dad, this is my daughter.”

She then said to Xiao Xue, ”Xiao Xue, call grandpa!”

Xiao Xue, a polite and good child, although Han Siqu seemed a bit shabby, she still obediently called out, ”Grandpa!”

And she stretched her hand out for a hug. Her grandmother liked her so much, surely her grandfather must like her too!

Han Siqu hesitated for a moment, looking at this adorable little child. He was a bit nervous, wanting to reach out for a hug, but seeing his dirty clothes, he felt too embarrassed: ”Well, Xiao Xue my dear, Grandpa hasn’t... hasn’t changed his clothes, let... let’s hug when we get back.”
