The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 656: Chapter 656: Han Siqu’s Fortunes (2)

Han Siqu never thought he would have such an encounter, but regardless of whether he was willing or forced, he accepted the duty entrusted to him, especially since he had received such a great favor. Naturally, he saw no reason to refuse.

Therefore, after cremating his master’s body, Han Siqu stayed in Hanwu Forest.

He dared not venture out, even though he possessed the cultivation imparted by his master. Yet, without any real combat experience, as his master had warned, leaving now would likely spell his doom. He was even more afraid to return to Nanyao Country; if he were to bring trouble to Yao Zhen and the others, it would be better for him to stay alone in this ghostly place.

Initially, he was very afraid, as the place was indeed creepy, but over time, he got used to it.

Later on, he picked up Jiangnan, who seemed no older than two or three, as skinny as a little monkey, unable to speak and lacking any human behavior, a complete wild child. Seeing his pitiful state, Han saved him and began to find herbs he knew to nurse him back to health, teaching him to speak and recognize words. It became a pastime in between his cultivation, as being alone was rather dull.

Several years passed just like that.

Han Siqu also never expected that Han Jing actually married Su Yu, and Xiao Xue was their child, which was truly... baffling. But regardless of anything, he knew Su Yu was a good person, and Han Jing marrying him was a stroke of fortune. However... what happened later was indeed sigh-worthy.

”Dad, our purpose in coming to Hanwu Forest this time is to find Yun Feng. You’ve been here for so many years, have you ever seen him?” After briefly recounting the past few years to Han Siqu, Han Jing disclosed their objective.

”The person you’re talking about... is he around twenty or thirty years old, with a handsome appearance, gentle voice, and a smile on his face? Oh, and likes wearing white clothes, possesses excellent medical skills!” Han Siqu described to Han Jing.

Surprised, Han Jing nodded: ”That’s roughly right, his name is Yun Feng, have you actually seen him? Do you know where he is?”

”Well...” Han Siqu shook his head. ”That was probably four years ago. Jiangnan once ran out when I wasn’t looking, and I encountered that person while searching for him. He seemed surprised to see someone here, so we chatted for a bit, and he even helped me find Jiangnan. At that time, Jiangnan was a bit out of sorts; he said he was a doctor and checked Jiangnan, even stayed some days, gathering some herbs to make medicine pills for him. But... I recall he said his surname was Feng? Yet he didn’t mention his name, and I didn’t ask further. I only told him my surname was Han, after all, being out here, especially in such a place, it’s impolite to reveal names unless familiar.”

Han Jing bit her lip. Surname Feng?

Is it really not Yun Feng, or... did he conceal his identity?

Yun Feng... this doctor with the surname Feng resembling Yun Feng... there’s at least a fifty percent chance, isn’t there?

”When did he leave? Did he mention where he was going? Have you seen him again?” Han Jing asked.

”I haven’t seen him again, but I think I know where he went. He inquired about the location of the Ice Lake, seems like... he was looking for something?”
