The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 560: Chapter 560: Han Jing’s True Origins (Part 5)

Han Jing smiled and responded, ”Brother Qin, say whatever you need to say.”

Lian Xichen and Lan Ling were also waiting to hear what Qin Shutong was going to say next.

Qin Shutong did not keep them in suspense and looked directly at Lian Xichen, ”Xichen, do you remember, after you returned to Yanjing City, I asked you about the child back then, how was he?”

Lian Xichen nodded, glanced at Han Jing, and seeing no change on her face, he replied truthfully, ”After my foster father died, I didn’t want to mention that woman again. So when you asked me, I vaguely told you she died, and never brought up the matter again. Back then, my foster father knew that woman intended to harm the late Emperor, so he was determined to take her to the Spirit Cultivation Realm no matter what. He had already established Beihan Palace, enough to protect her thoroughly. So he sent me back first, then returned. But when he found Han Litong, she only had a longtime servant and a two-year-old Han Qingjue by her side. When she left, she was about to give birth, but the child was missing.”

”She was very weak at the time, seemingly injured, and only regained consciousness after arriving at Beihan Palace. My foster father asked her where the child was, she said the child had a birthmark on his face and was ugly, fortunately... was... born dead. My foster father was very shocked, even went back to search but found nothing. Worried about Han Litong, he could only return first, and later she left a letter for my foster father, saying she committed suicide, my foster father risked his life to save her back. Then he invited the Master to come over, entrusted him to care for me and Beihan Palace.”

These events were ones that Lian Xichen was always unwilling to bring up again, so when Qin Shutong asked him, he always vaguely avoided the topic, not wishing to say anything more about Han Litong.

Qin Shutong was silent for a while, then said something shocking, ”That child was not the late Emperor’s, but was Fengxi’s predecessor’s.”

Qin Shutong looked at Han Jing and repeated, ”Miss Han, Fengxi, he is your biological father.”

”What?!” The four people present, aside from Qin Shutong, were all unsettled. Lian Xichen even stepped forward quickly to Qin Shutong, disregarding protocol, and urgently said, ”Emperor, please clarify, what exactly is going on? She... wasn’t she the late Emperor’s child? I always thought that was why Han Litong didn’t want her, the person she hated most in this life... probably was the late Emperor, after all, he killed the man she loved dearly...”

Lian Xichen was almost incoherent, so much was his shock, he knew how much Han Litong hated the late Emperor back then, otherwise, she wouldn’t have taken such a dangerous risk to poison the late Emperor...

And if not for that... how could my foster father have sacrificed his life for her chaotic life?

Han Jing’s mind was also unsettled... She truly was not quite calm, not to mention anything else, she truly didn’t care who her parents were, even if it was the monstrous late Emperor depicted by their mouths... it didn’t matter... But how could she be involved with Fengxi? This legendary, exceptionally talented man, nearly unparalleled save for Su Yu from their family... No, no, no, she couldn’t accept it, how could she have such a foolish father... sacrificing himself for Han Litong... was he an idiot or just plain foolish...
