The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 357: Chapter 357: Su Yu, Can I Like You?

She didn’t reject this feeling, being able to like someone is also a kind of courage, at least for her, it was like this.

She finally emerged from such darkness and was able to live her own life freely again, no longer being dominated, no longer being controlled, no longer fearing uncertainty. Of course, she could also learn to live better.

She could also learn to love.

Although she didn’t understand what kind of significance and magic the word ’love’ held, to make so many people follow it without regret or fear, even at the cost of their own lives.

Han Jing opened her eyes, quietly looking at Su Yu, but in her heart, she had already made a decision.

She had always been like this; for the things she wanted, she would definitely strive for them. If she couldn’t obtain them, it would mean she lacked ability. If she didn’t even dare to try, that would mean she was a failure. How could she let herself be such a failure?

Han Jing looked at Su Yu for a long time, until Su Yu couldn’t bear it anymore: ”Just say what you want to say!”

Han Jing...

”I thought we weren’t supposed to talk during this process.”

Su Yu couldn’t help but laugh.

But then Han Jing said, ”Su Yu, can I like you?”

Su Yu was suddenly taken aback, as if something soft had hit his heart, warmly, almost making him lose his composure and mess up his thoughts.

He had been confessed to by many people, both men and women; he had seen all kinds of people, and heard even more flowery words. He knew he was good-looking and attracted people. Since he was five and had entered the mountains with his master, there had been senior and junior sisters coming to confess.

But he had never listened seriously, not even once did it enter his ears. His dislike of women was genuine, and so was his disgust.

He had memories from a very young age. Perhaps it was due to his natural intelligence, remembering everything he saw, or maybe those memories were too profound to be erased, so he remembered things from long ago.

He remembered when he was very young, in the palace, his consort mother watching with wide eyes as the palace maids pulled off his clothes, even using their hands to caress him, and then she sat there laughing wildly. Those unbearable pasts made him feel that in this world, women were a sordid species. In his young memories, apart from Su Yaogeng, his eldest sister who looked at him with heartache and often secretly sent him things, all women instilled in him an instinctual resistance. Even to Su Yaogeng, he did not want to get close. At that time, he was frightened; women made him more afraid than ghosts.

So even later, after he slowly understood real situations, knowing that what was truly frightening was not women but the human mind, he had no desire to get close to women.

The shadows etched in his heart were always indelible. So he resisted all women’s approach, rejected all emotions. Even later, when Yun Feng found a way to resolve the Blood Flame Poison inside him, which required finding a woman with an extremely cold physique to transfer the poison, he still resisted in his heart.

Regarding Han Jing, at first, he simply felt more compensatory.

His cold demeanor did not mean he was heartless; Han Jing was innocent. She saved him, nearly lost her life, and though to this day they didn’t understand why she hadn’t died, from that time on, she became his responsibility.

He merely wanted to protect her completely.
