The Deadly Hitwoman: The Heiress's Special Abilities

Chapter 293: Chapter 293: Su Yu’s Past (Part 7)

Su Yaogeng was stunned. She never dreamt that she would see such an unbelievable scene.

A few palace maids were attending to Xia Ji, who leisurely enjoyed herself, seemingly unaware of the half-year-old Su Yu lying among the thorny bushes, his cries barely audible.

She couldn’t help but rush over, wanting to pick him up, but someone stopped her.

She looked at Xia Ji in disbelief, while Xia Ji looked at her with a smile.

”He’s crying, don’t you see?” Su Yaogeng almost shouted.

”Oh. So what?” Xia Ji remained as gentle as ever, her smile warm, but it made Su Yaogeng tremble.

”You, I’m going to tell Father!” Su Yaogeng was still a child then. Her only reliance was her father. Surely he wouldn’t stand by and let Xia Ji treat a child like this!

But Xia Ji laughed out loud, ”My silly Princess, what can you do even if you tell your father? He is my child. How I treat him is my business. Your father won’t care.”

Su Yaogeng was furious, pointing at Xia Ji, ”You, you, you can’t do this to him!”

No matter what, he was just a child, only half a year old. What could he understand? What could he know? Being pricked all over with thorns, covered in blood, how painful it must be!

Xia Ji ordered someone to pick up the child, extending her sharp nails toward his bloodstained arm. With a gentle swipe, blood flowed down the tender little arm, and Xia Ji’s smile grew even more radiant, ”Look, how fun, little Princess. Would you like to try it?”

Su Yaogeng thought she must be crazy, absolutely crazy! She wanted to rush over and snatch Su Yu away, but at that time, she didn’t have such ability. She was quickly forcefully sent out of the Great Hall by the palace maid.

She ran to find her father, asking him to save the child. Her father frowned, accusing her of speaking nonsense, insisting Xia Ji could never do such a cruel thing to her own child. She held firm, pulling him along to see, but in Xia Ji’s palace, a few words from Xia Ji made her father completely forget the purpose of his visit.

Afterwards, Su Yaogeng tried several more times but failed. She had no choice but to occasionally pull her brother along, hoping to help the child.

But Xia Ji was very watchful, making it difficult for her to go near. Several times she sneaked in, only to see Su Yu covered in bruises. She heard the elder nanny secretly tell her that beatings were mild compared to other things. Xia Ji fed the child poison every day, using poison insects from who knows where to bite him daily. It’s unknown how strong the child’s destiny was to survive, but living like that was worse than death. No one dared to speak out. Any palace maid who dared to interfere was tortured to death by Xia Ji.

It was even said that strange sounds of young palace maids were often heard in the palace at night, but no one dared to check what was happening.

This situation persisted for three or four years. Naturally, Su Yaogeng could not contend with Xia Ji. She desperately wanted to help Su Yu but was powerless to do anything. She could only frequently sneak good medicine from her father and secretly apply it to Su Yu. However, her ability to heal could never keep up with the new injuries appearing on his body. The tender little child seemed to have no unscathed skin except for his face.
