Entry: I Secretly Cultivate Immortality in the Martial Arts World

248: Chapter 248 My Lord, I’ve brought you something good! After Gu Yan broke through to the fifth level of the Immortal King realm, he was just about to settle his mind into secluded meditation to begin a new round of cultivation.

However, he suddenly felt a message from his good body, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang, requesting an audience.

With a casual wave of his hand, the space in the hall rippled slightly, and Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang appeared.

With a touch of smugness on his face, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang got straight to the point: ”Original Body, I’ve brought you something good.”

Gu Yan glanced at him and said in a flat tone, ”I already know what you’ve brought. Stop playing games, take it out, and then get back to work.”

Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang muttered that he was no fun, then pulled an object from his sleeve.

It was a golden left-handed glove, exquisitely crafted and inlaid with six gems of different colors on the back, which were quite eye-catching.

This item was none other than the Infinity Gauntlet.

Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang had traveled to the Universe known as Marvel through Lin Yi’s chat group and went to some trouble to collect it.

As one of Gu Yan’s External Incarnations, he, like Ming He, inherited some of the original body’s hobbies.

Ming He liked raising small animals, which ultimately stemmed from the original body Gu Yan having the same hobby; it was just that Gu Yan was usually too busy cultivating to tend to them.

Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s hobby, on the other hand, was collecting all sorts of interesting little trinkets, like the glove before him.

Gu Yan took the glove, played with it in his hand for a while, and remarked: ”These six gems, taken individually, are only equivalent to Immortal Magical Artifacts. Put together, they barely touch the edge of being an Immortal Spirit Treasure.”

”However, the craftsmanship is too crude. Simply inlaying the gems on the glove doesn’t allow the powers of the six to fully connect, wasting more than half of its potential power.”

Gu Yan was now at the fifth level of the Immortal King realm and possessed the immortal lord fuzhe - red trait. Over the years, he had acquired countless good things, including many methods for Artifact Refining.

He spoke with full confidence, without the slightest exaggeration.

Then again, this thing was destined to just gather dust in his possession.

After all, compared to the highest grade innate spirit treasures like the haotian mirror in his hands, there was still a massive gap.

Seeing that his original body lacked interest, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang planned to take his leave.

Gu Yan called out to stop him, adding a few more words: ”Take it easy when you do things in the future. You are my good body Incarnation, so why is your killing intent no less than that fellow Ming He’s?”

Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang smiled, gave a casual acknowledgment, and turned to leave.

...

Now, let’s speak of the Origins of this Infinity Gauntlet and the six gems.

After Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang entered the Marvel Universe, the first person he sought out was that Purple Potato Spirit, Thanos.

Thanos was scouring the Universe for gems to inlay into the gauntlet when Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang intercepted him halfway, taking both the gems and the gauntlet.

As for Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s methods of developing The Great Alliance in the Marvel Universe... ahem, that cannot be said, or it wouldn’t pass review.

In short, it was completely lawless.

Possessing seventy percent of Gu Yan’s strength, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang was an existence that didn’t take no for an answer in that world.

Forget the Purple Potato Spirit Thanos; even the five Cosmic Entities—Eternity, Infinity, Death, Oblivion, and Galactus—and even that supreme god of the Living Tribunal, OAA, who was said to be immune to all Laws and above everything, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang dared to confront them head-on.

Of course, winning wasn’t exactly easy.

A detailed comparison between the strength of an Immortal King and the supreme gods of the Marvel Universe is needed here.

Supreme beings of the Marvel Universe, such as the Living Tribunal or OAA, are the Incarnations of the will of that Universe, controlling all the rules of the multiverse.

If their power level were measured by the cultivation system, it would roughly equate to the Peak of the Immortal King realm or even the threshold of an Immortal Emperor.

With a single thought, OAA can restart the Universe, modify reality, and erase any existence that does not comply with the rules.

In the native setting of Marvel, it is the ceiling, period.

But the problem is, the so-called ceiling of the Marvel Universe isn’t actually that high when placed within the system Gu Yan Cultivates.

Furthermore, Gu Yan, as an Immortal King, was far beyond what ordinary Immortal Kings in the world could compare to.

His original body was bolstered by several red supreme traits, giving him a Foundation so thick and overbearing that he was invincible within the same rank.

As his good body Incarnation, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang inherited seventy percent of the original body’s combat power.

And this seventy percent was by no means the seventy percent of an ordinary Immortal King.

In other words, with Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s current true combat power, even if an ordinary Immortal Emperor of the Immortal Realm were to face him, they would have to think twice and not dare to lightly challenge him.

Therefore, while Marvel’s OAA was omnipotent on its own turf, its omnipotence was limited to the interior of the Marvel Universe.

Once faced with power from outside the system and outside the Laws, its omnipotence was compromised.

Gu Yan cultivated the Primordial Chaos Genesis Sutra of the Limitless Great Five Elements, which was a completely different system from the rules of the Marvel Universe.

OAA wants to modify Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s reality?

Sorry, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s fate is not in its database.

OAA wants to erase Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s existence?

Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s original body is sitting in the Supreme Creation Small Luo Grotto-Heaven, separated by countless worlds; OAA couldn’t even find the door to the Grotto-Heaven.

So in this battle, while Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang didn’t exactly crush them, he always held the upper hand.

OAA was beaten until its Laws shattered, and it only barely stabilized after reconstructing its body three times.

The five Cosmic Entities were even worse off, chased and slashed by Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang alone with a sword; Eternity ran fast, Infinity hid deep, Death was almost cleaved through her Origin by Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s sword, Oblivion had thirty percent of its existence beaten out of it, and Galactus was the most miserable, swallowing and vomiting until he had spewed out all the planets he had eaten.

After finishing the job, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang erected a stone tablet in the heart of the Marvel Universe, with four large characters inscribed: ”The Great Alliance Stationed Here.”

As for who later pushed that tablet down, that’s a story for another time.

In any case, Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang had completely established a foothold in that world.

However, he did not transfer people from the Supreme Creation Small Luo Grotto-Heaven to develop The Great Alliance; instead, he recruited members locally within the Marvel Universe, forming a Great Alliance force composed entirely of local Cultivators and superpowered individuals.

He had his own considerations for this.

In Immortal Emperor Yuan Fang’s view, all modern worlds similar to Marvel were unsuitable for members of the alliance from the Grotto-Heaven to develop in...

...

In the Immortal Realm, Jiang Yun and Yingluo did not stay any longer.

The two had investigated the Immortal Realm for a hundred years without any results, and since the mastermind behind the scenes had already gone into hiding, staying any longer would be futile, so they set off to return to the Saint Realm.

After the two left, the entire Immortal Realm was left in a mess because of their presence.

The reason was simple.

Jiang Yun was the Grand Elder of the Taixu Saint Sect in the Saint Realm, with a cultivation far above that of an Immortal Emperor. Which faction in the Immortal Realm wouldn’t want to curry favor with her?

Who wouldn’t want to coax some methods for breaking through to the Immortal Emperor realm from her mouth?

In the past century, people from all walks of life had scrambled to get close to Jiang Yun, even fighting over the job of serving tea and water.

Unfortunately, Emperor Cang had beaten them to it.

Relying on his status as the Lord of the Immortal Court, this old fellow had brought Jiang Yun and Yingluo to his own territory from the very beginning, serving them meticulously, while others didn’t even get a single hair.

Now that Jiang Yun was gone, the various factions, filled with a century’s worth of resentment, turned their spearheads toward Emperor Cang.

After all, in this past century, only Emperor Cang had spoken with the Grand Elder, and only he knew what information Jiang Yun had revealed.

Emperor Cang was a very crafty man.

He knew the intelligence in his hands was a hot potato that he couldn’t keep hidden, nor did he intend to.

But he wasn’t willing to give it away for nothing, so he came up with the idea of killing with a borrowed knife.

The Lord of the Divine Court, Emperor Haotian, was the first to come knocking.

Emperor Cang got straight to the point, saying he could tell him the intelligence, but he had to do something for him: go find trouble with the Buddhist Sect.

When Emperor Haotian heard this, his heart was as clear as a mirror.

Emperor Cang had been on bad terms with the Buddhist Sect recently; this was using him as a pawn.

But Emperor Haotian didn’t care.

Wasn’t it just a bunch of baldies?

If a fight was needed, then they’d fight; anyway, the Divine Court had no friendship with the Buddhist Sect.

Emperor Cang hadn’t expected Emperor Haotian, this old fellow, to have such a short fuse—you’re actually going to fight just because I told you to?

The words were already out and couldn’t be taken back.

Emperor Cang was also straightforward, immediately informing him of all the intelligence Jiang Yun had revealed regarding breaking through to the Immortal Emperor realm and going to the Saint Realm, and finally suggested an alliance between the Immortal Court and the Divine Court.

It could be said that fate works in mysterious ways.

The Immortal Court and the Divine Court had not been on good terms in the past, each dominating their own side and refusing to submit to the other.

Now, because of the excuse of hitting some baldies, they had inexplicably come together.

Emperor Haotian felt that although Emperor Cang was crafty, at least he kept his word, which was better than those bald donkeys who were full of talk about mercy.

Emperor Cang felt that Emperor Haotian had a direct personality and was easy to fool, making him a good ally.

The two sides hit it off immediately, and the alliance was settled.

When the news spread, the Buddha Datongguang of the Buddhist Sect was so angry he nearly overturned Spirit Mountain.

In all the years he had lived, he had never suffered such an insult.

The Divine Court was looking for trouble, and the Immortal Court was handing them the knife from behind; did they think the Buddhist Sect was a soft persimmon?

Buddha Datongguang immediately summoned the various Buddhas under his seat to discuss and decide on a countermeasure.

He took the initiative to unite with the Demon Court and the Underworld Emperor, forming a three-party alliance.

The Demon Court had long been dissatisfied with the Immortal Court’s suppression of the Yao Race’s forces over the years, and the Underworld Emperor had an old grudge against Emperor Cang, so the three parties hit it off immediately.

Buddha Datongguang sent word out that Emperor Cang must tell them the intelligence left by the Grand Elder of the Saint Realm, or the Buddhist Sect would not let it go.

For a time, the Immortal Realm was in a state of upheaval.

The Immortal Court allied with the Divine Court, while the Buddhist Sect allied with the Demon Court and the Underworld Emperor; the two sides faced off, with swords drawn and bows bent.

And the source of all this was merely that two women had come and then left.
