The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 349: Little Cutie

”...Pandora, what are you doing?” I ask, looking at the various papers that Pandora is drawing something on.

”Itʼs nothing major, Delphina, donʼt worry,” she says, pausing and thinking about something, while I observe the papers detailed drawings of separate body parts, something Iʼve only seen a few times in such meticulous projects of living beings.

”Are you trying to create something alive?” I say, and she looks at me in shock.

”You know that looking at me like that is an insult, right? Do you think Iʼm stupid?” I say, annoyed by her surprise. Iʼm also a goddess and have created a race, so I obviously understand this to a certain extent.

”...Sorry, I have to admit I didnʼt expect much from you in this regard...considering you created a race of just girls and didnʼt know much about, well...your little package down there...and besides, you tend to be a bit tyrannical on certain matters, like a small animal with a giant rage at the world,” she says, insulting me even more.

”...”

”Okay, okay, Iʼm sorry, Iʼm just being stubborn, wanting to do everything alone. I really didnʼt want your help, even though I could have asked for it,” she says, getting up and coming over to me, hugging me and lifting me up, then sitting down in the chair with me on her lap.

”So what am I failing at? I believe the body here is perfect, the path to magic and to a being without magic is also perfect...” She says as I look at her project.

ʼShe did this without a divine base?...impressive...ʼ All the goddesses used an existing base to create life, her doing everything from scratch without a previous divine base is incredible.

”Iʼve already found the error,” I say, taking the pen from her hand and crossing out the design of the brain. Itʼs here that sheʼs wrong, well, itʼs more or less here, not specifically the brain.

”Whatʼs wrong with the brain? Itʼs perfect,” she says, seeming annoyed that Iʼm saying sheʼs wrong.

”The problem isnʼt the brain, itʼs the lack of a true soul,” I say, and she stops and analyzes.

”But it has one...” She tries to speak, but I interrupt her.

”No, this is an artificial copy of what a soul would be, but itʼs not a true soul. You probably donʼt even know what a true soul is.” A body without a soul is an empty shell.

”An artificial soul will only create a homunculus, and you want to create a true living being, not a homunculus,” I tell her the difference, and her eyes widen in surprise.

”Oh...I see...it makes sense, but how do I make a true soul?” She questions.

”Pandora, I ask that you not be so proud. Even we goddesses didnʼt try to figure this out on our own. We all simply stole the design from the primordial goddess,” I tell her, knowing itʼs pride on her part.

”Haha, itʼs funny how you admit that,” she laughs at me.

”Well, itʼs the truth...” I say, not too proud of having done that. We all just took the primordial goddessʼs design, itʼs not something to be proud of, but it was necessary in a way, and the primordial goddess has already forgiven us for stealing from her.

”Actually, you donʼt need to teach me that right now. For now, I prefer to continue down this dead-end path,” she says, leaving me confused.

”Really? Why?” I donʼt understand why she would want not to know, wouldnʼt it be good to learn and stop wasting time?

”Youʼve already given me what I needed to know. Now that I know the problem is the soul, I can try to exercise my brain trying to figure it out,” she says with a smile.

”I donʼt understand why you would want that, but if I helped, then Iʼm glad,” I say with a smile.

”Thank you for the help, my cute little shark,” she says, petting my head while using the shadows to put away the papers.

”It was nothing, but I want a date,” I say, looking up and seeing her smile.

”Oh? Demanding a date like that? Maybe another day, Iʼm sorting out some pending matters...but howʼs the academy? Do you like this place?”

”I think...itʼs interesting. Normally I just lived in my room, so getting to know the outside is kind of cool,” I say with a small smile.

Itʼs not that bad, although the sound coming from everywhere is annoying, and the lack of ocean vibrations is unpleasant. Normally my lateral lines would detect every slightest variation in the water, giving me a false ”omniscience” of where everything is in the ocean and more or less what theyʼre doing. I wouldnʼt know exactly whatʼs being done, but I could try to deduce it.

But outside the sea, thereʼs obviously no water, so my lateral lines are left powerless to detect it, making me feel less stable in places, as if the things around me were hidden.

Years of solitude made me rely too much on this to locate things, and now that Iʼm out of the water, I really have to use my vision, hearing, and magic to find things.

”Hmm...I think Iʼll build an academy,” Pandora says out of nowhere.

”Really?”

”Yes, for our children and talented demons, an academy based on merit for future talents, it seems great, especially because we could see the progress it causes.”

”...This isnʼt just for sex dressed as a schoolgirl, is it?” I question, while she remains silent.

”Well...if you want to study at this academy, Iʼd love to give you private lessons on ʼbiologyʼ, if you know what I mean,” she says in a mischievous way.

”Seriously, youʼre so perverted.”

”Thank you for the compliment. Anyway, Iʼd like to experiment with some mermaids, can you get me a couple...or 5...maybe 10...20 would be great...”

”Are you going to keep increasing?!”

”A feast is the plan, you know? But if you just give me one, Iʼd be satisfied, though I want her alive.”

”Seriously, youʼre so terrible, asking me for living members of my people to eat.”

”Hahaha, yes...Iʼm quite evil. So, will you give me some?”

”Maybe...Hyaa!” I let out a little moan when she squeezes my lower parts and starts massaging.

”Your little package is so cute. How does this cute thing get so big? Life is a mystery,” Pandora says, licking my neck.

”D-Doing that wonʼt change my mind,” although I say that, I might end up giving in.

”Ah...” I make a disappointed sound when she stops.

”Your disappointment is funny, but Iʼm serious, I donʼt have time for that now,” she says, and I look at her confused.

”Seriously? No time again? What are you doing so much that you never have time?”

”Iʼm trying to develop some pure theoretical magics. Normally, creating magic depends on testing, so itʼs a mix of theory and practice, but Iʼm trying to create one in pure theory, and in the final test, it will already be complete.”

”So that takes up a lot of my mind. And I also have a lot of work on the construction of my kingdom, whether itʼs things to build or laws, among other things...so much paper to approve...just in my room at the mansion, there are 7 stacks of paper.”

”Why donʼt you have someone else do that?” I interrupt her.

”...Itʼs because for important decisions like these, I donʼt trust anyone...donʼt look at me like that, itʼs not that I donʼt have confidence in my servants, the problem is others.”

”Whatʼs the problem?”

”Itʼs that I have a worldview, laws, and what I want to build that others donʼt understand. Basically, they wonʼt do things the way I want them done. I can only let others take care of this when my kingdom is big enough.”

”So, Pandora, in short, youʼll only let trusted servants make important decisions when your kingdom is already complete?”

”Yes, thatʼs more or less it, my cute one,” Pandora says, hugging my waist.

”I hate when you treat me that way in such moments, you know?” She just ignores what I say and continues petting my belly.

”Well, you can go now. Iʼll do something else and canʼt give you all the attention you deserve. Besides, later I have to go to church.”

”Okay, Iʼm leaving...good luck with your plans...and try to focus more on the classes.”

She seems a bit unfocused when teaching, more like itʼs an annoying obligation she canʼt let go.

”Of course, of course, Delphina. For you, Iʼll improve, but itʼs kind of hard to give you an interesting lesson. Youʼre a goddess, and thereʼs not much I can teach you. And I canʼt give sex lessons to students, itʼs unethical in their culture.”

”D-Donʼt say that kind of thing so casually!” I say, pouting as I leave the room. Sheʼs so bold in bringing up that kind of thing in casual conversation.

ʼHaaa...ʼ Iʼll go back to my room and wait for the next class. Itʼs annoying to be treated like a mere princess when Iʼm a goddess. The tasks are really easy.

And the practical classes are ridiculously easy, thereʼs practically nothing new that I learn, but itʼs still fun to see Pandora trying to teach.

Sheʼs strangely good, which is unexpected considering her personality. She can be serious when she needs to be, and she teaches in a simple, practical, efficient, but very precise and intelligent way.

Unlike other professors, Pandora doesnʼt teach the theoretical content from textbooks, but rather she teaches through her own experience with magic, which makes her classes very good.

ʼOh...ʼ As I walked to my room, I noticed something stuck to my clothes. I take it and see that itʼs a little candy. Now I donʼt know if I should be irritated that sheʼs treating me like a child or impressed that she managed to put the candy on me without me noticing.
