The Dark Rebirth of Pandora: Revenge of the Abyss

Chapter 345: Relations

”...” I’m writing some papers until I hear a voice that I recognize perfectly by its arrogance.

”What do you want, Violet? I’m kind of busy,” I say while thinking about what’s missing for me to create a real living being. There are many things to think about, but I’m still letting something slip and maybe making it more complex than it should be.

”Pandora, I have a matter to discuss with you! The least you can do as my bearer is to listen,” she says while I let out a sigh and look at my hand where she stays.

”It was so good when you were gone, what happened?” She hasn’t spoken to me in a while.

”I was taking care of my life, it’s obvious, I’m officially in a relationship with Mesumari,” she says while I’m surprised.

”Does someone really want to be with you even though you’re so arrogant?” I question in surprise.

”Don’t talk nonsense!! Obviously, anyone would want to be with an incredible sword like me,” she says while I let out a fake sigh.

”Okay, so what’s the matter?” I question.

”W-Well...me and Mesumari have been together for some time and...” She starts to speak while I ignore it.

’Why can Mesumari invade the seal in my hand?’ Does she think my hand is some kind of external dwelling that she can come visit whenever she wants? Violet talks all lovingly about the two of them being together.

But honestly, I don’t care at all, I already knew the two were hooking up, besides, there was a time at night when Violet was mumbling things all night long.

In other words, I already know what the real relationship between the two is like, and Mesumari is practically always on top of Violet.

”And lately we’ve been very close and she asked me out,” Violet says with a new update.

”Oh...is that so?” Now I’m curious about the news.

”Yes! It was so romantic and...”

”How was the proposal made?” I ask as she stops talking.

”W-Well...it was...i-it was...it doesn’t matter!! Be quiet!!” She gets sulky and disappears without saying anything.

”...Tsk, now you’ve left me curious, if you were going to disappear, you might as well not have come,” I mutter, annoyed.

...

...

...

”Ugh...how can I say this without being humiliated,” I mutter, throwing myself on the bed, irritated. There’s no way I can tell Pandora how the proposal was made or Pandora won’t stop insulting me for it.

For me, it was very romantic. We’re swords, so this method was something incredible, but for Pandora it would just be a weird fetish. There’s no way I can talk about how the proposal was made.

”...” I put my hand on my lip, remembering the proposal. It was really incredible. After a really active night, Mesumari decided to make the proposal.

She gently stepped on my naked body and started climbing her leg in a sensual way until she reached my mouth, then she stuck her toes in my mouth in a seductive way and started making the proposal.

She said she’s liked me since she saw me and now she’d want to be with me and wouldn’t take no for an answer, so after asking if I wanted to date her, what she did was move her fingers making my head nod yes.

Since we had just had a very active night and I was tired and embarrassed to be without my socks, it all ended with me accepting it embarrassingly while licking her toes.

”Violet, is something wrong?” Mesumari asks while I see her eating the minerals I had hidden, but she found.

”Tsk, stop eating my things! You greedy one,” I tell her, who practically lives here now. She comes all the time.

”Ah, come on, love, don’t be so grumpy. Mikael never gives me enough food while Pandora always gives you more than you need,” she says, but without stopping eating while I sigh.

”Just don’t eat it all again...” Even Pandora finds it annoying to keep giving me minerals all the time.

”Okay, my little angry one, I won’t eat it all, and I have to go to Mikael soon, he found something fun to hunt,” she tells me as she crosses her legs.

”Haaa...” I let out a long, tired sigh. Things here are so boring when Mesumari isn’t around. Pandora has been very busy. She’s so focused on killing the heroes that she plans steps with a terrifying meticulousness.

”Is something wrong?” Mesumari asks, coming to me.

”Just Pandora being scary, nothing unusual,” she’s always been someone too obsessed with her own things. Her meticulous planning is always something terrifying to witness firsthand.

”Hahaha, I understand. Any more strange plans?”

”Yes, something about torture and more,” I say as she lies down next to me on the bed.

”Hmm, you have a really unique bearer, you know?” She says with a chuckle.

”Yes, I do, although she’s so...wait, why the interest in her? You’re not thinking of betraying me, are you?” I say seriously.

”Of course not, my little short one. She’s not my type, and besides, she’s your bearer. It would be weird to be with her when she’s already with Mikael, who’s my bearer,” she says as I decide to question.

”You know, Mesumari, I have a strange doubt...Pandora has always spent a lot of time trying to conquer who she likes, for example, Zephyra and Delphina, where she makes plans and a bunch of things.”

”So...why doesn’t she try the same thing with Mikael? I don’t really know what to think, their relationship seems kind of frivolous, you know?” I speak without understanding. Pandora and him don’t really have the relationship one would expect when compared to Zephyra and Delphina.

”Hmm, good question, but you’re looking at it the wrong way, Violet. You’re seeing Pandora’s side of adjusting to what she thinks her partner wants, instead of the partner’s side,” she says while I’m confused.

”What do you mean?” I question, trying to understand more about Pandora, who is very complex.

”Violet, you really didn’t understand, did you?” She says with a little smile.

”The Pandora you know who relates to Zephyra and Delphina is not the same Pandora you think you know. This loving and planning Pandora is what Pandora thinks her partners want.”

”Pandora is a monster with a huge potential to adapt to everything that happens to her. This also adjusts to her partners. Pandora acts in the way that best suits her partner.”

”If she’s loving with Delphina, it’s because Delphina would like that more. Mikael and Pandora’s relationship isn’t so strange when you think deeply about it.”

”In fact, it’s probably the most liberating relationship for Pandora and one of the ones Pandora needs the most,” she says, leaving me more confused.

”Is that so?”

”Yes, and do you know why?”

”I have no idea.”

”It’s because it’s the only relationship where Pandora is free to act as what she really is...a bloodthirsty, fight-craving monster. Mikael and her are a perfect pair.”

”Mikael is fanatical about fights and strong beings, meaning he’s always looking for a fight, but he’s never lost a fight to anything or anyone before. Pandora was officially the first to defeat him.”

”But that’s where their relationship fits perfectly. Instead of having to adjust to what Mikael wants, in this case, Pandora only needs to release what she really is, a monster that will attack to kill even someone she likes, and that’s what happened in the fight between the two.”

”Pandora was happy. She almost died several times. She defended against powerful blows and counter-attacked with equally powerful attacks. She could be truly free and had to fight with everything to get what she wanted, but without holding back.”

”As a monster, she needs this. Monsters are summed up in three things: kill, destroy, and reproduce. And with Mikael, Pandora can be as brutal as she wants. She doesn’t have to be gentle or restrained.”

”She can go all out, whether in a fight or in sex. Mikael is also brutal in sex, which is perfect for Pandora, who as a monster instinctively values the strength of her partner,” she says, giving me a perspective on their relationship that I didn’t expect.

”Oh...that...makes a strange kind of sense.”

”Yes, it does. Mikael is not a sentimental person, so Pandora doesn’t have to act all sentimental with him. In fact, acting like a sentimental girl would only push him away since Mikael is fanatical about fights.”

”He’s always been like that since childhood, an orphan and non-noble living off violence. It’s not like Mikael has a sad history in the past. He’s just always been that way.”

”So much so that before being called the world’s strongest man and humanity’s hero, he was considered the most terrible assassin in humanity. That all changed when, due to his addiction, he saved the kingdom from a powerful monster.”

”His goal was just to fight, but since he saved them, the church wanted to turn him into a hero to use his image and try to control him. Of course, it didn’t quite work out, since he doesn’t obey anyone and is always wandering the world.”

”But some are afraid of him, so they prevent certain attacks from happening to the kingdom, and the kingdom always gives him dangerous missions, knowing he’ll accept them for the adrenaline of the fight,” she says, giving me a kiss on the forehead.

”Now enough of this conversation. You already know that their relationship is not really shallow, it’s deep, but it’s not measured in words, but in actions.”

”So seeing the two of them bickering, fighting, or saying atrocities to each other is just their form of wild love. Besides, Pandora seemed to like having Mikael invading her with everything,” she says with a little chuckle.

”I see...”

”I have to go. See you later, my little short one,” she says as she gets up from the bed to leave.
