Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1067: Chapter 629: The Origin

”Slap! Slap!”

Alice clapped twice, and the sound of messy footsteps and muffled voices came closer and closer. Monique and Luo Lian instinctively looked over as two Black men dragged a woman into the room, forcing her face up...

Even though her face had been charred beyond recognition, it was definitely Lisha from her body shape. Luo Lian looked at Alice in disbelief; this was her elder sister, whom she had always obeyed without question. Now... now she had gone so far as to do such a cruel thing?

Monique frowned at Alice, ”Was this your doing?”

”Of course!” Alice raised her eyebrows, ”Dear brother, if you keep being uncooperative, I don’t mind turning you into this too. The scent of acid on a body is just too delightful.” She said while licking her lips in intoxication.

Lisha, whose mouth was gagged, frantically thrashed her head, mumbling ”mmmm...” continuously. Her face was completely destroyed, her eyes glued together, her features unrecognizable. Whether it was pain or anger that consumed her, it was hard to tell.

Alice ordered the man restraining Lisha, ”Let her speak.”

”Bastard! You bastard! Just kill me, please, kill me...” Lisha screamed desperately once her mouth was freed.

”Kill you?” Alice leaned in close, laughing wildly, ”How could I, you are my dearest sister. Killing you? Absolutely not, don’t worry. I’ll take charge of your life, dear sister!”

”I’ve always treated you well, why would you do this to me!” Lisha shouted angrily. She never imagined that the old man, under the guise of cooperation, would turn against her. Had she not trusted him so blindly, how would she have been so easily caught and meet this fate?

At this stage, seeking death had become her greatest wish.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want revenge, but did she have the capability or means for revenge now?

”From childhood to now, my proud sister has stepped on my head. Everyone praised you for your beauty, but what about me?” Alice’s face contorted, ”Look at me, am I ugly?

Why did every man I like fall into your arms? Why must I always listen to you? Why do you get to boss me around? Let me tell you, I’ve had enough. Turning you into this is the motivation that kept me by your side, understand?”

”You’re the one who insisted on following me, you said you’d listen to me in everything, you madwoman, you bastard! Bastard!”

”That’s right, I am a bastard. Haven’t you noticed that I don’t look like any of you? It’s no secret, even Emma doesn’t know who my father is, hahaha...”

This had weighed heavily on Alice’s heart for far too long. But after saying it, she felt an inexplicable relief. A child whose father was unknown to her had claimed all of L.L’s assets. That was her success!

Monique looked at her coldly, ”How do you know all this?”

”Emma’s diary, I read it...” Alice looked darkly at Luo Lian, ”What I hate most is you, Mother, on the surface, she spoiled me the most, but in reality only treated me as your shield, hahaha... it’s ridiculous, hahaha...”

”What shield?” Luo Lian asked blandly, ”I don’t see what you’ve shielded me from?”

”If you could see it, would I have the chance to stand here today?” Alice glared hatefully at Luo Lian, ”Every year when you went on trips, do you know what I did? I served that dead pig Yamaguchi Tairo in your place!”

”What does Yamaguchi Tairo have to do with me?” Luo Lian was genuinely puzzled.

”He’s L.L’s biggest client and a major customer of over a dozen top French brands. The reason he’s so invested in the fashion industry is that he only likes talented designers.

When he took charge of L.L, he made it clear that L.L’s young female designers must accompany him for a month each year. The risk of leaking from the employees was too high, so Emma targeted her own daughter.

She held you back from revealing your talent in fashion design not because she feared you’d outshine me but because she didn’t want you to become Yamaguchi Tairo’s plaything! I’m her biological daughter, yet she would sacrifice me to protect you!

Maybe I’m the biggest joke in the world. From the day I came into this world, fairness has been against me. So be it, where there’s no fairness, I create my own. Now, isn’t it fair? Your fates are entirely in my hands, hahaha...”

”Why is it like this?” Luo Lian was puzzled why Emma would act this way, trying to make sense of it all.

”When your mother handed over L.L to Emma, she swore a blood oath. Emma feared retribution the most, so she had to sacrifice one of her own children. Not choosing Lisha was simple; Lisha’s father would not forgive her.” Monique provided the answer.

”You knew about Alice’s background all along?” Lisha asked hoarsely.

Monique nodded, ”Yes, Emma told me about it before and asked me to take care of Alice in the future. She gave up things she shouldn’t have for L.L, but who knew...” He shook his head and stopped speaking.

Yes, who knew this would become the origin of Alice’s power to take them down. If Emma had known this result, would she still have done it?

”But, I have to thank Emma. If she hadn’t made me serve men so young, I wouldn’t have had the chance to achieve everything today.” Alice smiled triumphantly, ”Monique, want to try with me? I guarantee you’ll never want another woman again.”

Monique squinted at her, ”Earlier, you said you hate Lisha because she stole all the men you liked. If you were capable of that, how could she have stolen them?”

Alice snorted coldly, ”Fighting for men with her doesn’t interest me.”

Her contradictory answer made Monique understand, ”It was Yamaguchi Tairo who prohibited it, right?”

Alice glared at Monique sullenly, ”You know, sometimes self-righteous intelligence is the most irritating. Now, you should worry about what kind of fate awaits you!”

”You used your body to gain Johnny and that old man’s support. Aren’t you afraid Yamaguchi Tairo will find out?” Monique continued to pour salt on her wounds.

”If I dared to do it, there’s a reason for it.” Alice slowly approached Luo Lian, ”Do you want to end up like Lisha, or do you want to be my beast tamer?”
