Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1062: Chapter 626: Splitting into Three Teams (Part 2)

”By the way...” she lowered her voice, ”I’ll tell you a secret. My plan is to let Monique watch with her own eyes how my dear Sister Amy ’tames’ the friends in the garden. If I ever get tired of him, I’ll let him be trained with you. How about that?”

”You shameless!” Luo Lian said, quickly stepping forward to kick Alice, and as her foot landed, she dashed toward the door!

”Hahaha...” Alice’s exaggerated laughter came from behind, ”You’re such a fool. If you could escape like this, why would I sit here and chat with you for half a day?”

At that moment, Luo Lian couldn’t care less about engaging with Alice—she reached the door as two tall Black men quickly surrounded her.

Fortunately, since being captured, she hadn’t neglected her diet, and she had never shown her skills in front of others. Furthermore, thanks to Luoluo..., otherwise, she would have cut her throat before acting!

”Ah!”

”Ow!”

Watching the two Black men fall at Luo Lian’s hands, Alice stopped laughing, her face turned serious. It seemed she wasn’t the only one hiding her skills!

A whistle sounded, and two more tall Black men appeared. Luo Lian frowned, how many people had Alice ambushed here?

Alice, who had been watching Luo Lian closely, curled her lips in a smug smile and joined the fight.

...

While Luo Lian was fighting for her life, Luo Ye and the others had split into three groups heading for the castle. According to the latest information from the intelligence department, Luo Lian had been captured and taken to Monique’s castle.

From the current clues, the target wasn’t just Luo Lian but also Luo Ye, otherwise, the situation wouldn’t have been this complicated.

Moreover, the information about Luo Lian’s location seemed to be deliberately leaked. But since things had come to this point and with the confirmation that Luo Lian was in the castle, leaving it alone would only alert the other side. Therefore, before getting off the plane, Feng Tianzhi divided the incoming team into three groups. Luo Ye’s group walked openly out of the airport while the other two groups took hidden routes.

The three groups were led by Feng Tianzhi, Luo Ye, and Zhan Hao, respectively.

Accompanying Luo Ye were Ye Xuan, Xing Nong, Yaoguang, and Liu Xing. This team was the most dangerous, but considering cooperation and effectiveness, it had to be arranged this way.

Feng Tianzhi led Feng Qing and Zhao Qianqian.

Zhan Hao led Wu Zetian and Liu Ailing.

Hang Wen and Hang Wu didn’t participate in this operation because some of Elder Hang’s ideas had displeased Feng Tianzhi, prompting him to voluntarily leave them out of the team.

Several other members were on other missions elsewhere and couldn’t divide their attention. Therefore, including Ye Xuan, only eleven people came.

The informations from the Fierce Tiger organization were excellent. Normally, assigning around ten people for a mission is optimal, so not bringing more has its benefits.

However, no one anticipated the situation would be this complicated when still in the country. Now, it seems that they might be short on manpower.

In mid-course, Ye Xuan secretly requisitioned an inconspicuous off-road vehicle from the Ye Family’s base in France as their means of transportation, and also secretly got some personnel to follow them along.

Technically, doing so violated the regulations.

But the opponent’s plan was too meticulously set up, and the domestic intelligence was skewed. By doing this, Ye Xuan wouldn’t have any issues, as his intentions were to minimize casualties. Whatever the reasons, the leaders wouldn’t hold it against him.

After the vehicle left the city, everyone had solemn expressions—the opponent wouldn’t let them reach their destination smoothly!

Sure enough, when the vehicle turned onto a mountain bend, a racing truck hurtled towards them, seemingly ready to ram them at all costs!

”Duck down and hold on!” Ye Xuan shouted, coordinating limbs and sharply turning the wheel, the vehicle almost went sideways, barely skirting along the cliff edge!

The truck missed them, unable to brake in time, and tumbled roaring into the gorge.

Seeing the wisps of smoke drifting up in the rearview mirror, Xing Nong patted her chest in fright, ”Oh my God, it’s like a live action scene from an American blockbuster!”

”From now on, stay on high alert, obstacles like this won’t be scarce. Fortunately, this vehicle has hidden tricks; even bullets or rockets won’t damage it.” Ye Xuan said, seemingly comforting or explaining.

”What about the tires? Are the tires unaffected too?” Xing Nong looked incredulous. She could believe the body and glass were durable, but how could the tires be?

”The tires have protective shielding. With my skill, I won’t give them a chance to hit the cores.”

”What if it’s a sniper rifle? Do you have a way to deal with that?”

Ye Xuan pressed his lips and didn’t answer further.

Seeing Xing Nong still arguing, Luo Ye pinched her, ”Our goal is to reach the castle. Squad B and C will handle the encounters, unless absolutely necessary, everyone avoid lingering in battle. Saving and escaping is our aim. All else can be dealt with later, no rush right now!”

”Okay,” Xing Nong sighed with worry, ”I wonder how Lianlian is doing now.”

Luo Ye patted her comfortingly, ”Don’t worry too much. Lianlian has personal defense items, self-rescue is not an issue for five times, and I’ve previously told her not to reveal them unless absolutely necessary.

From the moment of her capture, I’m sure Lianlian has been looking for an opportunity. According to the intelligence timeline, she should be safe for now.”

Despite the reassurance, Luo Ye’s gaze showed increasing concern.

This is her first important mission, and her first time dealing with rescuing someone with close kinship ties—something never experienced in both lives. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly!
