Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1057: Chapter 623: On a Knife’s Edge

”Johnny... Johnny... you finally came.” Alice raised her head with a flattering smile, ”It must be brother who sent you to save me, right?”

”Miss, do I need to take action or will you handle this yourself? Please don’t make it difficult for me.” Johnny looked at Alice with a calm expression, unwilling to go in circles with her.

”Take action?” Alice smiled coyly, continuing to feign ignorance, ”What do you mean? I’m not quite sure. Isn’t it that my brother sent you to save me?”

”Save you?” A smile appeared in Johnny’s eyes, ”I don’t know what danger Miss Alice is in that would warrant the boss to make such a big move?”

”I was kidnapped by my sister, she threatened me to join her against my brother. Before this, I secretly sent a message to my brother. I’m sure he received it and that’s why he sent you. Am I right?”

”Really?” Johnny’s lips curled into a peculiar smile, and he slowly aimed his gun at Alice’s head, ”Miss, I must follow the boss’s orders.”

”No! I have something to tell my brother, Johnny, you’ve followed him for so many years, you wouldn’t want him to regret it in the future, right?” Alice’s face was deathly pale. Seeing Johnny’s expression, she knew he wasn’t joking. Just a slight twitch of his finger could freeze her life at this moment forever...

”Boss, they are fleeing towards north latitude 45 degrees 32’28”, east longitude 6 degrees 18’22”. We’re chasing after them.” Johnny’s communicator buzzed at the perfect time.

”Alright, keep me updated.”

Alice took the chance, quickly crawled next to Johnny, raised her small face, and looked pitifully at him: ”Please call my brother, I beg you.”

After all, she is the boss’s own sister, just in case..., Johnny hesitated for a moment but still dialed Monique’s number, ”Boss, Miss Alice says she has something to tell you.”

”Brother, I really have something to report, it’s about Amy, about how my sister plans to deal with Amy...” Fearing Monique would refuse, Alice screamed at the top of her lungs.

”Miss Lisha’s side, Sinks is already leading people to chase them.” Knowing what his boss was thinking, Johnny quickly added.

”Alright, bring Alice here, quickly!” Monique’s voice carried a hint of displeasure.

Alice let out a long breath, hugging Johnny’s leg as she slowly stood, her whole body leaning against him, smiling weakly: ”Johnny, you scared me to death just now.”

Alice has the personality of a vined morning glory, which Johnny knows well. To him, her teasing is no different from a viper’s fangs, so he directly poked her waist with the barrel of his gun, ”Go! See the boss.”

Pushed forward a step, Alice couldn’t help but lower her voice to curse: ”FUAK!”

Frowning, Johnny dragged her white delicate wrist, striding out in large steps. Unprepared, Alice was dragged, spinning, and fell to the ground, her arm twisted painfully into a pretzel, her face contorted in pain.

”Such a nuisance!” Johnny impatiently pulled her up, tucked her under his arm, and started running quickly. Already too pained to make a sound, Alice lurched and rolled her eyes before passing out.

...

Inside the castle hall, Monique sat in a large chair, holding Luo Lian tightly in his arms, gently stroking her cheek: ”Amy, as long as I’m here, no one can hurt you. This time, I will completely resolve the matters with Lisha and Alice!” As he spoke, he planted a kiss on her lips.

”Thank you, brother.” Luo Lian shifted uneasily, her heart tormented to the extreme. Given the current situation, Monique would never give her a chance to be alone. How could she escape?

If Monique truly married her, she might accept it. However, she knows well that she is destined not to be Monique’s wife.

Even though he professes his love, treats her as his life, and could even kill his own sisters for her, she will not be his wife.

Her role, to put it bluntly, is that of a sex slave.

Perhaps this is a cultural difference. Among these wealthy young masters, having sex slaves besides a wife is extremely normal, and sometimes feelings for a sex slave may surpass those for a wife.

A sex slave’s duties are equivalent to that of a wife, yet they can’t show their face outside, similar to being imprisoned, which is exactly why Luo Lian has always resisted Monique’s tightening grip.

He claims to love her, yet he can’t give up an ounce of his interests. His so-called love is nothing more than eternal possession, unrelated to true love!

Of course, he would never admit this.

In his view, he gives all his love to her; even if he marries, it’s just a facade, a setup for mutual benefit.

He claims to be a man of cleanliness, that other than her, he wouldn’t have a relationship with any woman.

Yet, his wife will never be her, that’s certain!

If she doesn’t find a way to escape now, losing her innocence is just a matter of time. This day, Monique has waited for a long time and will definitely not give her any chance to refuse...

”Amy, Amy... what are you thinking about?”

Monique’s call brought Luo Lian back to reality. She quickly forced a somewhat unnatural smile: ”Thinking about Mom, thinking about how she used to be.”

”When Mom left, she was most worried about Amy.” Monique turned her body around and looked directly at her, ”Tell me the truth, do you hate your brother that much?”

”No...no... (yeah right)” Luo Lian thought sarcastically in her heart, but dared not say it aloud. Now she was a sheep entering the tiger’s den; she didn’t want to provoke the tiger’s might and force him to devour her prematurely.

”Jeni, who is my biological father, passed away last month. Fifty-seven percent of his assets are now assigned to me...” Monique paused, ”With the shares of L.L., I can give you whatever life you want, if...you want to continue running your design studio, I won’t stop you.”

”Really?” Luo Lian’s eyes lit up with surprise. Maybe it’s different from what she imagined?

Monique nodded earnestly: ”Yes, except I can’t marry you, anything else, I can give you, including freedom!”

”Oh...” Luo Lian responded, her expression dulling.

”Amy, for the sake of L.L.’s growth, I must do this...” Monique kneaded her earlobe, ”Besides legal recognition, you won’t lack anything else.”

”Why should I be that kind of woman? I have shares in L.L., I have my own career, why should I be that kind of woman? Please give me a reason!” Luo Lian slowly raised her head and questioned.

”Because you can only be mine, you must be mine! Otherwise...” his eyes turned cold, ”otherwise I would rather you leave this world!”

Even though she had known his domineering reason for a long time, Luo Lian still trembled with anger: ”Just because of this, I have to be your sex slave?” She was determined, thinking that her chance of escaping by force seemed zero, so she pinned her hopes on his conscience. Although she knew that possibility was slim, she had to try.

”Amy, have you always thought this?” Monique’s azure eyes became deep, ”My love for you, in your mouth, turned into a sex slave?”

”I’m just speaking the truth!”

”Fine, since Amy thinks this way, I won’t oppose it. However...” Monique’s lips curled slightly, ”In this regard, you will be the only one. Call it whatever you like, it doesn’t matter to me!” His eyes squinted, ”Why not fulfill your duty right now?”

Feeling the change in his lower body, Luo Lian panicked, knowing she shouldn’t have provoked him. She should have endured a little longer, wanting to break free but being tightly restrained.

His hand slowly slid down her cheek and stopped at her prominent chest, kneading forcefully twice: ”I don’t mind if others see.”

”No... don’t...” Tears slid down Luo Lian’s face, ”Brother, you’re my brother, if...if you really want this, please give me time to adjust myself.

If, if you really love me, you wouldn’t want me to commit suicide because of this, right? I beg you for time to adjust, only when I’ve thought it through, I can live...”

Listening to Luo Lian’s rambling babble, Monique’s hands increased in strength, and the bodyguards and maids tactfully retreated.

”I’m begging you... don’t...” Feeling Monique’s large hand reaching towards her waist, Luo Lian pleaded tearfully, ”Brother, I promise I’ll stay with you, but please... please give me time...”

”Time... I’ve given too much of it. If you had been with me earlier, you wouldn’t be hesitating like this now.” Seeing Luo’s belt about to be undone, Monique panted heavily.

At this time, Luo Lian had no more qualms, with her unrestrained left hand, she clawed desperately at his handsome face.

”Mm...” Monique grunted, his eyes becoming even deeper, ”Alright, just like this, I like this kind of Amy. Be even more crazy...”

Johnny, who was already at the door, looked at the scene inside the hall, caught in a dilemma, considering the news he had just received. He steeled himself and stepped forward: ”Boss, Miss Alice has been brought over by me.”

”Get out, speak later!” Monique, caught up in the moment, couldn’t care less.

Hesitating for a moment, Johnny still spoke out information received along the way: ”Boss, there’s a third party intervening; our people have suffered heavy casualties.”

”Oh?” Monique stopped his action, casually straightened Luo Lian’s clothes, pulled her tightly into his arms, and turned his sights to Johnny, ”What’s going on?”

Johnny shook his head: ”Not too clear at the moment.” He pointed to Alice lying on the floor, ”I’ve brought Miss over, if there’s nothing else, Boss, I’ll immediately take people to support Sinks.”
