”That’s right, Aunt Yu, even if we are not family anymore, we can still be friends. We sincerely hope you can be happy.” Wen Ke also said.

Little Pumpkin affectionately hooked Yu Na’s arm: ”Aunt Yu, when you’re feeling down, give me a call and I’ll chat with you.”

”Thank you.” Yu Miao smiled slightly, ”Rest assured, on a day like today, I won’t do anything to embarrass the Wen Family.

I came because he was once the closest person to me. Today is his most important day, and of course, I want to come and give my blessings.

To be honest, seeing him happy makes me feel a lot more at peace. After all, I didn’t ruin his life, and with that, I feel at ease.”

Yu Na sensed something was wrong too, frowning as she looked at Yu Miao: ”Aunt, what do you mean by saying that on this day you won’t do anything to embarrass the Wen family? Are you planning on doing something improper another time?”

”No, it’s just that I used the wrong words.” Yu Miao nudged Luo Ye and Wen Ke, ”Alright, hurry back to the car. You left the group behind; what does that look like?”

”Aunt Yu, there are some things that when you haven’t figured them out yourself, no amount of persuasion from others will help. I just want to say, think more about the people who truly care about you, like Yu Na.” Luo Ye said, pulling Wen Ke and Little Pumpkin, ”Let’s go.”

”Little Aunt, goodbye.” Wen Nan looked earnestly at Yu Miao, ”Please allow me to call you Little Aunt for the last time. From now on, you’ll be Aunt Yu.”

”Goodbye!” Yu Miao’s eyes shimmered, her voice quivering slightly.

Once the group disappeared, Yu Na looked at Yu Miao with concern: ”Aunt, tell me the truth, do you really want to do something foolish?”

Yu Miao glanced at her: ”Do you want to hear the truth?”

”Of course.”

”The truth is, I originally planned to see Wen Tong one more time and then end it all after I went back. Honestly, for a woman to truly dedicate herself to Buddhism is not easy.

If perhaps he hurt me deeply before, but in fact, after being with him for so many years, he was always just tolerating me.

So after the divorce, all I could think of was his goodness. This feeling makes a person very painful, so I had to meditate all night long, hoping to find peace of mind.

However, how can a person completely control their thoughts? As a result, over the years, my feelings for him not only didn’t fade but grew deeper.

This time, he and Hua Rong are truly going to be together, and suddenly I feel like all my hopes are gone. When he was single, even if I stayed in the temple, it felt like he was always by my side.

From now on, I can’t deceive myself any longer. All the talk about dedicating myself to Buddhism and seeing through the world was just my excuse to escape.

I regret deceiving him, regret everything I did to the Wen Family, so I’ve been atoning for my sins. Now, that he’s getting married, it feels like my penance is complete.

The feeling of emptiness is truly uncomfortable, so I thought of being a coward. But just now, I changed my mind.

Wen Tong saw me, and his eyes told me he’s still caring for me, he’s deeply worried about me, and even had the desire to come down and comfort me.

In this situation, if I really took a dead-end path, that would truly be letting him down. Also, Luo Ye, Wen Ke, and Wen Nan took the initiative to comfort me.

Which shows that the Wen Family hasn’t completely forgotten about me, so I definitely can’t add to their troubles. If I did something foolish on Wen Tong’s wedding day, the Wen Family would surely have to bear the blame. Nana, rest assured, Aunt has a conscience and won’t put others in an unjust situation.”

”Aunt...” Yu Na tenderly hugged Yu Miao, ”Aunt has suffered too much inside. From now on, I’ll spend my free time with you. I’ll still say this: in the future, I’ll take care of you in your old age.”

”Okay, for Nana, Aunt has decided not to live in the temple anymore...”

Yu Na interrupted excitedly: ”Really?”

”Of course it’s true, however, I will find a job to pass the time. When Nana gets married and has a baby, I’ll become the full-time nanny at Nana’s house.”

Yu Na was at a loss: ”Aunt, you’re thinking too far ahead.”

”It seems far off, but actually, it’ll come soon. Nana is already 20 this year, so at most, wait another five years.” Yu Miao said seriously, ”Nana, Aunt still says the same thing: for your own happiness, let go of things you shouldn’t hold on to, as clinging will only make both yourself and others unhappy.
