Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 639: Chapter 379: Falling Out / Making Up / Visiting

If her choice would create a barrier between her and Star Manipulating Moonlight, then she would rather give up. Opportunities may come again, but best friends are irreplaceable.

”Stop!” Star Manipulating called out, catching up with her, a hint of a smile surfaced in Yaoguang’s eyes as she lazily made her way over.

”Yo... Little Luoluo, have you been crying?” Star Manipulating scrutinized Luo Ye closely, frowning and tapping her forehead: ”Tell me, why are Yaoguang and I mad at you?”

”You’re mad because I agreed to go with Fierce Tiger without discussing it with you, mad because I left you behind, mad because I left without saying a word...” Luo Ye looked at her with a face full of grievance: ”But really, it was a decision made on the spur of the moment...”

Star Manipulating interrupted her: ”Luoluo, Yao Yao and I are not unreasonable people. If it was an emergency, and you made this decision, we absolutely wouldn’t be so angry.

But you’ve been distracted lately, you were probably pondering over this matter, right? When Yaoguang and I asked you, you flatly denied it and said nothing was wrong.

Your behavior clearly shows you don’t trust us. Luoluo, this kind of action really chills our hearts.” Star Manipulating emphasized with a crying tone: ”It really chills our hearts. For you, we would risk our lives, how could you not trust us?”

”I do trust you.” Luo Ye hurriedly grabbed both of their wrists, trying to explain urgently: ”When Vice Chairman Lin first approached me, I rejected him, truly.

At that moment, I thought since I had already refused, there was no point in bringing it up to avoid worrying you two. But later, when I confronted Qiao Xiaowan, Feng Tianzhi helped me get things straight.

Afterwards, I kept pondering over what to choose. I thought about discussing it with you, but I was afraid you’d be angry after hearing my indecision, so I never dared to speak it out.

Just when I was still wavering, Yang Xing suddenly appeared. Seeing his remorse and desperation, I suddenly realized that sometimes remedying things after the fact can destroy yourself and harm others.

You both know that I have shares in Wenxin Garden, Liangyou and Chenxing Software, and the managers of all three are taking on everything by themselves because I’m busy.

But I must admit, my backing is the strongest, and if I were to wait until there were problems before fixing them, it would cause guilt to them and to me, and it could potentially end the cooperation.

Moreover, my grandpa’s family is here, and I should spend more time with my mom. Then there’s Lianlian, she’s struggling here alone, with her unreliable foster mother’s family possibly causing trouble at any moment. If I could visit more often, it would lessen some of our worries and concerns.

After weighing everything, I decided to choose Fierce Tiger right away. It was a sudden decision indeed, it’s not that I didn’t trust you. I didn’t speak up before because I cared about you and couldn’t bring myself to say it.”

Star Manipulating glanced at her sideways: ”You didn’t have time to discuss with us, but you brought Senior Brother Ye for a consultation and kept it a secret from us, you, who values love over friendship!”

”I...” Luo Ye’s face flushed red. Wasn’t it because she was afraid of annoying them even more that she didn’t dare to say it? Who was the blabbermouth that had leaked this?

Star Manipulating rolled her eyes at her: ”Don’t overthink it. That Handsome Ye was the chief instructor at the university for a month. Who could forget that face, that figure?

Let me tell you, the moment you left, it spread throughout the school. Yao Yao and I were curious at the time; you were supposed to talk to Yang Xing, so how come you followed Commander Ye.”

Luo Ye muttered an apology: ”I’m sorry, I won’t do it again.” Thinking back, she had never felt so down before starting afresh. In fact, she had prioritized love but certainly hadn’t neglected her friends. But then, is there any use in explaining such things?

”Forget it, Qiu’er, stop scaring her.” With a smile, Yaoguang pinched Luo Ye’s cheek: ”Little Luoluo, if you make this kind of mistake again, we won’t just be scaring you for fun.

Originally, we planned to ignore you for ten days, and there are still three days left. But your teary eyes moved us, though it’s really the first time we’ve ever seen Little Luoluo cry. Our plan this time...” As she spoke, she raised her palm and high-fived Star Manipulating, both of them declared in unison: ”Success!”

”Annoying...” Luo Ye couldn’t help but scratch at them, feeling aggrieved: ”I thought you really weren’t planning to acknowledge me as a friend with the way you were looking at me.”

”Luoluo...” Star Manipulating’s expression turned solemn: ”We had guessed that you might be worried about angering us, which is why you didn’t say anything.

But the value of friendship lies in trust and sharing. Even if we would scold you or get mad, we would ultimately stand by your side. By acting the way you did, you’re clearly pushing us away.
