Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 105: Chapter 82-83 The Truth Behind Falling Out with Grandpa / Checking the Rankings_3

Wen Xin straightened her body: ”I told Ye’er about the Yang Family matter, and that girl guessed right away that the Yang Family was after the Wen Family’s influence. She asked me about the Wen Family affairs, and I... I really didn’t know what to do at that moment.” She sighed lightly: ”I’m afraid that if the child hears this, she will hate me.”

”It won’t happen, Ye’er is a sensible child.” Luo Zhenggang embraced Wen Xin’s shoulders: ”This matter cannot be hidden forever, especially since it now involves Ye’er’s lifelong happiness.

Actually, I have also been weighing this matter these past few days. My opinion is that instead of keeping it hidden forever, it’s better to speak out, so that everyone doesn’t have to tiptoe around in conversation, what do you think?”

”Let me think about it a bit more?”

Luo Zhenggang gently patted his wife: ”Wen Xin, so many years have passed, and you are still living in guilt. Wen Rou knowing this won’t be happy.

You should know better than I do what kind of temper the old man has. If you don’t admit your wrongs and show up, he won’t humble himself to find you, nor will he allow any Wen Family members to find you. With Wen Tong’s precedent, who would dare to defy?

Only when you truly come to terms with it and go there personally, can this knot be untied for both sides. Wen Xin, the old man and the old lady are nearly 70 this year, and Great Grandpa is already over 90, if this continues, you might regret it for life.

Wen Xin, I never thought about taking advantage of the Wen Family, but I must consider for you, I do not wish my wife to live a life burdened by guilt.

In the past, I did not advise you on this matter, fearing the Wen Family people would think I wanted to take advantage, but now I see clearly, justice resides in people’s hearts, what kind of person I am, they will see.”

”Zhenggang...” Wen Xin’s tears fell: ”I understand.”

...

”You two, don’t need to be so serious.” Luo Zhenggang looked at his son and daughter sitting up straight and frowned, his wife was already a bit nervous, this way of sitting made it even more tense?

Luo Ye relaxed his body leaning on the couch, hugging Song Qiu and Dou Dou, with a comfortable and content appearance: ”Dad, Mom, is it okay if I sit like this?”

”You...” Wen Xin showed a slight smile due to being amused: ”I called you two here to talk about something regarding Grandma’s house.”

Luo Ye nodded: ”Mom, please tell us, my brother and I are all ears.”

Wen Xin’s expression showed a trace of melancholy: ”Ye’er always complains that Mom controls your eating too strictly, not allowing you to eat too much. Actually, Mom also knows that she has overcorrected, but, she just can’t dispel the fear in her heart, unable to help but control Ye’er’s diet.

I have a twin sister named Wen Rou, we look very alike, but the difference is, Wen Rou had a good appetite since childhood and particularly loved eating meat, while I was the exact opposite, picky with food, not interested in meat and only liking light vegetarian dishes, over time, we obviously became one fat and one thin, with my sister getting increasingly fatter.

We sisters have never been separated for a day, naturally our affection is extremely good, we wouldn’t hide anything from each other. Although sister was only a few minutes older than me, she would take care of everything as an elder sister, so I was particularly dependent on her, I would follow whatever she said unconditionally.

When my sister was 16, she fell in love with a boy, a son of a good friend of Grandpa, but she was worried that he would dislike her for being fat, so she never confessed, only I knew about this.

It’s ironic how fate plays with people, at 18, the parents of the boy my sister liked sent matchmakers to propose, but they picked me, the families were well-matched, and Grandma and Grandpa readily agreed.

If I had not known the boy was the one my sister liked, I might have agreed...” Wen Xin glanced apologetically at Luo Zhenggang and continued: ”But knowing my sister’s feelings, naturally I would not take what belonged to her, I was timid, dared not tell Grandma and Grandpa, just shared my thoughts with my sister.

I still clearly remember Wen Rou’s excited expression at that time, she said she didn’t pamper me in vain, but asked me for a favor, to interact normally with the boy, she would hurry to lose weight, by the time of the marriage, even if the groom changed, he wouldn’t notice, I, being undecided, agreed.

When the marriage was imminent, Wen Rou indeed had lost a lot of weight compared to before, but if compared to me, she was still a bit fat, so she desperately tormented herself, trying to purge the food she ate, so weak that she was unsteady walking, I was quite scared and wanted to tell Grandma, but foolishly went to seek Wen Rou’s opinion, obviously, I was stopped.

The family also noticed Wen Rou’s rapid weight loss and her severe weakness, she laughed explaining she wanted to lose weight to be a beautiful bridesmaid at my wedding, Grandma and Grandpa scolded her for it, and assigned someone to watch her at every meal.”
