Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Chapter 1582 - 919: Help / Hatred Born from Love? (3)

Originally, Uncle and Aunt’s families were not very happy with Grandpa’s arrangement. However, when Grandpa was in good health, they didn’t dare to make any moves.

Since Grandpa had a stroke last year and stopped being involved in the Qu Family’s affairs, they started their little maneuvers. Their departure this time was actually allowed by my dad on purpose.

With their hearts no longer in the Qu Family, keeping them there didn’t make sense, so my dad distributed their shares to them completely.

The pain will last for a while, but my dad and I believe that after this ordeal, the Qu Family will go further!

Luoluo, if I choose to go back now, it would be an indirect negation of my dad’s abilities, so I won’t do that.”

”Excuse!” Luo Ye glared at him, ”You’re just afraid that once you go back, you won’t be able to leave. Young Master, it’s only a matter of time before you return to take charge of the Qu Family. You can’t avoid it forever.

Besides, Liangyou was built by you singlehandedly. Your prestige is there, and Liangyou’s management is already on track. You really don’t need to always be here.

Focus more energy on the Qu Family. If Liangyou causes the Qu Family to suffer too much loss, Uncle Qu and Aunt Qu won’t forgive you.

I don’t want to say anything like it would make me feel guilty, but you should know what I’d do if such a thing really happens.”

”What would you do?” Qu Yue looked at Luo Ye with some expectation.

Without thinking, Luo Ye said, ”I would transfer most of my shares in Liangyou to you, keeping only a little for myself.”

”So that’s how it is...” The brightness in Qu Yue’s eyes dimmed, ”I thought...” He paused and didn’t continue.

Luo Ye sized him up and smiled lightly, ”Did you think I’d say, for Liangyou, I’d give up joining the Female Special Forces Team?”

”No, I’m not that narcissistic. I thought you’d say that if that were the case, you’d try to come over and look after Liangyou as much as possible, which might affect your work at the Female Special Forces Team, thereby affecting your advancement, and then make me feel guilty. I thought you’d pressure me like that.

Luoluo, what I least want is for you to reduce your shares in Liangyou, as that was something we agreed upon at the very beginning. To me, Liangyou is the testimony of our friendship.

No matter what happens in this lifetime, the shareholders of Liangyou will always be us few. I don’t want any of us to pull out.

That’s right, if the Qu Family suffers loss because of this, I’ll feel guilty because Grandpa trusted and indulged me so much. If I let him down, I wouldn’t be able to face him.

But even so, I don’t want to lose Liangyou, or lose you... all of you... because of the Qu Family.”

”Okay, I promise you, I won’t reduce my shares in Liangyou, nor will I pull out. But you must promise me to temporarily return to the Qu Family, and once things get sorted out, we’ll talk again, okay?”

”Okay!” After a moment of silence, Qu Yue agreed, understanding that Luo Ye’s proposal was the best course of action for now.

Liangyou was built by all of them, and the management team was all handpicked by them, with absolute reliability in management and loyalty.

Even if they were to leave for a year or so, Liangyou’s operations wouldn’t have issues, assuming the shareholders remain the same.

Knowing that this would be the outcome, insisting on not going to the Qu Family didn’t really make sense. Moreover, originally he stayed around because he could see Luo Ye often. After the New Year, Luo Ye would go to the Female Special Forces Team for an internship, leaving her with less and less free time, so it would be irrational for him to stay here.

Moreover, staying like this would put considerable pressure on her. He once said that he hopes for her happiness, and as long as she is happy, whether he wins her or not isn’t important. So, he’s willing to follow her wishes and act according to her desires.

In the future, he’ll only appear before her when she’s free, or maybe that’s the best choice...

He could still see her as she first appeared to him, that youthful elegance which struck him instantly, making him deeply fall for her.

He would revolve around her, wherever she was, he would be there. He would support whatever she wanted to do. Even if she had someone else, he was willing to guard her.

He wasn’t like Feng Tianzhi who would do anything, nor like Ye Xuan who fought for her. He merely used his own way to watch over her.
