Supreme Sword God

Chapter 121: Chapter 120: Birth of the Celestial Mark Sword, Powerhouses of the Dragon Race

Ye Chen was shocked when he heard from Luo Qingyi that the Wuchen Sword was split in two, hence it was a Top-grade Spiritual Sword, and in its complete state, a Middle-grade Dao Sword.

The Dao Sword, he has only seen the one Hua Qianxue possessed.

Ye Chen could be considered familiar with the power of a Dao Sword!

”Elder Qingyi, if I use the Sword Control Celestial Scripture to fuse and absorb this sword, can I get another chance to fuse when I obtain the other half of the Wuchen Sword?” Ye Chen asked.

The Sword Control Celestial Scripture has a significant limitation: each grade can only be fused and absorbed once. However, if the sword to be fused is already part of this sword, another chance to fuse would naturally be beneficial!

Luo Qingyi nodded and said, ”First, use the Sword Control Celestial Scripture to fuse the Top-grade Spiritual Sword in your hand with the Wuchen Sword. This will forge an ultimate Top-grade Spiritual Sword. When you obtain the other half of the Wuchen Sword, you can continue to fuse it to elevate your sword to the perfect Low-grade Dao Sword realm.

Once your sword reaches the Low-grade Dao Sword stage, when the time is right, it can indeed be fused and absorbed once more to elevate its grade even further!

Now, begin by activating the Sword Control Celestial Scripture, draw the Sword Spirits of both swords from their blades, and merge them into one.

After that, I will help you fuse the two sword blades together. This step should be done by you, but as you are currently too weak to manage it, I’ll assist this time. In the future, you’ll need to do it yourself, as the higher-grade the sword, the more it requires the holder to personally forge it.”

Ye Chen nodded and said, ”Thank you, Elder Qingyi.”

Then, Ye Chen immediately followed through, taking out the Top-grade Spiritual Sword to communicate with the Sword Spirit using the Sword Control Celestial Scripture.

A faint, cyan glow slowly floated out from the sword blade.

Luo Qingyi tossed the Wuchen Sword she was holding in front of Ye Chen.

Ye Chen once again called forth the Sword Spirit of the Wuchen Sword using the Sword Control Celestial Scripture. The Sword Spirit of the Wuchen Sword was a blinding white light, clearly much stronger than the Sword Spirit of the Top-grade Spiritual Sword.

Then, Ye Chen activated the cultivation technique to bring the two Sword Spirits together.

Suddenly, a powerful repulsive force emerged as if it was about to explode.

Ye Chen’s eyes flashed with a brilliant light, pushing the Sword Control Celestial Scripture to its limits to stabilize the two Sword Spirits and then tried to merge them slowly.

At first, it was very difficult.

But as Ye Chen gritted his teeth and persisted, the repulsion between the two Sword Spirits gradually weakened.

Luo Qingyi saw that Ye Chen was beginning to grasp the knack and relaxed. She then raised her hand, and the two now spiritless sword blades were drawn toward her by a gentle force.

”Swish, swish, swish!”

Sword Qi shot out from Luo Qingyi’s body.

In an instant, the two swords turned into fragments.

The fragments were further decomposed by Luo Qingyi’s Sword Qi, and wisps of powder drifted around.

This was to discard the dross parts of the two swords, leaving only the essence!

Unconsciously, a day had passed.

The two Sword Spirits in front of Ye Chen finally merged, and under the control of Ye Chen’s mind, the Sword Spirit radiated a golden glow.

Nothing more.

In Ye Chen’s mind, gold looked a bit more majestic!

Meanwhile, Luo Qingyi had already decomposed, extracted, and recombined the two sword blades, forming a brand-new sword.

The sword was over three feet long, with a width of three fingers.

The sword blade was covered with dense patterns. Although the patterns were intricate, they didn’t appear disorderly. Instead, the lines seemed incredibly smooth and natural.

At the hilt was a mark resembling a tear stain, emitting a faint cyan glow.

Luo Qingyi looked at that tear stain, shimmering with cyan light, a complex expression emerging on her face.

”Elder Qingyi... I’m ready!”

Ye Chen’s voice broke the silence.

Luo Qingyi gave a slight nod and then tossed the new sword to Ye Chen.

”Infuse the Sword Spirit into the sword blade, then nurture and refine it for a while. This sword will reach the most perfect Top-grade Spiritual Sword level,” said Luo Qingyi plainly.

Ye Chen caught the new sword and then, as Luo Qingyi instructed, guided the Sword Spirit into the sword blade.

Throughout the process, he was fully concentrated, not daring to be the slightest bit careless or distracted.

Meanwhile, Luo Qingyi’s gaze at Ye Chen carried an increasingly complex emotion.

After Ye Chen completely infused the Sword Spirit into the blade, he sighed in relief slightly, looked towards Luo Qingyi, and said, ”Elder Qingyi, please give this sword a name.”

Previously, it was just a Top-grade Spiritual Sword, and Ye Chen hadn’t bothered to think of a name.

Now, it was already the strongest Top-grade Spiritual Sword and deserved a name!

The name Wuchen Sword was clearly unsuitable, as the Wuchen Sword was only part of this sword. Given that Luo Qingyi had helped him so much, Ye Chen decided to leave the naming task to her.

Luo Qingyi was slightly taken aback, then said, ”Celestial Mark.”

Ye Chen’s eyes lit up and he said, ”Elder Qingyi’s names are always the best. Honestly, I had a few other names in mind for selection.

Big Treasure Sword, Super Sword, Invincible Sword...”

”If you dare use those names, you’ll come to a bad end,” Luo Qingyi coldly snorted before suddenly disappearing.

Ye Chen grinned to himself and muttered, ”Silly girl, just teasing you.”

”Bang!”

Suddenly, a powerful force pressed against Ye Chen, knocking him to the ground.

Ye Chen: ”...”

......

Sword Tomb, Tenth Floor.

Here, there was only a solitary mound.

In front of the mound stood a gravestone that looked like a piece of broken wood.

The gravestone was unmarked.

Only the grain of the broken wood was visible.

Luo Qingyi stood before the grave, and the ground beneath her feet surged. A four-legged little snake emerged and floated beside her.

Soon after, the little snake shimmered with brilliant golden light and transformed into a hundred-zhang-long Divine Dragon!

”You’ve entrusted him with the Heavenly Dao Traces so soon? Aren’t you worried he won’t hold it?” the Divine Dragon spoke.

Luo Qingyi replied, ”It was always going to be given to him. Sooner or later, what’s the difference?”

The Divine Dragon said, ”Qingyi, do you still resent him for sealing you inside the Sword Tomb?”

”Uncle Long, don’t you resent him? You were his best friend, yet you were trapped in the Sword Tomb for such a long time because of him,” Luo Qingyi looked towards the Divine Dragon.

”As you’ve already said, I was his best brother. If he paid everything to do something, I had a duty to guard it. Events have passed for so long, his awaited inheritor has appeared, and the Heavenly Dao Traces have come into his hands. It’s time I also make things clear to you.”

The Divine Dragon continued, ”His nature was very stubborn and not good at expressing himself. Back then, it wasn’t that you inadvertently obtained the Heavenly Dao Traces; rather, he gave all he had to forcibly seize the Heavenly Dao Traces for you to continue living.

He had you give the Heavenly Dao Traces to the Sword Tomb inheritor because he saw a strand of destiny and roughly knew when his inheritor would appear. By then, you would no longer need the Heavenly Dao Traces to continue living, and that’s why he wanted you to hand them over to his heir.

Though the Heavenly Dao Traces hold great power, the bearer also carries immense responsibility. You are his daughter, and he doesn’t want you to bear it all.”

Luo Qingyi furrowed her brows, quite angry, ”This isn’t fair to him. At least wait until he knows the truth, letting him choose for himself. Uncle Long, why tell me this only now? Do you realize that this means I’ve harmed him!”

”This isn’t unfair to him, for he himself is a crucial component in this cosmic calamity.”

”Uncle Long, what exactly is this cosmic calamity?”

”I don’t know.”

”Uncle Long, you must know what’s with Ye Chen’s bloodline source, right?!”

”I don’t know.”

”Uncle Long, I need to know the truth!”

”Qingyi, what the truth is, we actually do not know. What he saw back then was merely a blurry future. To know the truth, we must wait for the revelation to unfold.”
