Supreme Sword God

Chapter 116: Chapter 115: Sword Named Wuchen, Taming the Sword Spirit

”Dong dong dong!”

”Miss Qu, Young Master Ye.”

The voice of Steward He from the Celestial Soldier Pavilion sounded.

Qu Xiao and Ye Chen both stood up from their seats, walked to the door, and opened it.

Standing at the door, Steward He immediately said, ”Regarding that top-grade spiritual sword, the Pavilion Master has already agreed, please follow me.”

A moment later.

The three of them arrived at a rear courtyard of the Celestial Soldier Pavilion.

Surrounding them were many powerful guards, and there were also quite a few strong arrays present.

Passing through this heavily guarded area was the place where the Celestial Soldier Pavilion stored powerful weapons.

A high platform.

On the platform, there were many weapon racks.

On each weapon rack, there was a weapon.

The weapons placed in the Celestial Soldier Pavilion were at least of the middle-grade magical artifact level.

There were swords, spears, sabers, and halberds.

Ye Chen glanced at these weapons, and soon his gaze was fixed on a completely azure sword on one of the racks.

This sword was without a scabbard, radiating a vivid azure glow. The body of the sword was engraved with mysterious and unfathomable patterns, and the hilt had an ancient design.

Steward He smiled and said, ”Young Master Ye has a keen eye. This sword is named Wuchen, and it is the top-grade spiritual sword of the Celestial Soldier Pavilion in Unparalleled County.

Originally, the Wuchen Sword was priced at thirty-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine low-grade primordial stones.

Unfortunately, the sword spirit of Wuchen is extremely rebellious. Even Sword Dao cultivators at the Mortal Transformation Realm cannot gain the sword spirit’s recognition. Therefore, the Pavilion Master reduced the price to fifteen thousand low-grade primordial stones to find a suitable master for this sword.”

Qu Xiao’s gaze was also fixed on the Wuchen Sword, and a look of surprise gradually appeared in her eyes.

”Steward He, I heard that the Celestial Soldier Pavilion’s headquarters in Cangzhou has a very famous Artifact Refining Grandmaster. The weapons forged by this grandmaster all have a trace of red pattern. The Wuchen Sword hilt also has a trace of red pattern. Is the Wuchen Sword forged by that grandmaster?”

It was apparent that Qu Xiao only knew of the Wuchen Sword’s existence before and didn’t know much about it. Now that she saw the Wuchen Sword in person, she made some guesses.

Steward He smiled slightly, nodded and said, ”The Wuchen Sword is indeed the work of Master Hongchen. Originally, Master Hongchen intended to forge the strongest top-grade spiritual sword of the current era. Unfortunately, there was a slight defect in the sword’s body. Even so, this top-grade spiritual sword is much stronger than most of the top-grade magical artifacts in Cangzhou.

This is exactly why the sword spirit of the Wuchen Sword is so rebellious.”

Steward He continued, ”Young Master Ye, if you find it impossible to tame the sword spirit, do not force it, or else you might suffer a backlash from the sword spirit.

The Pavilion Master has instructed that if Young Master Ye cannot tame the Wuchen Sword’s spirit, there is an upper-grade spiritual sword within the Celestial Soldier Pavilion that can be offered to Young Master Ye at half price.”

The Celestial Soldier Pavilion was showing goodwill to Ye Chen.

Ye Chen knew this well.

This was a benefit brought by the enormous potential he had displayed during this time.

If he did not have such potential, no one would bother with him.

With potential and strength, one can earn respect.

Ye Chen looked at Steward He and smiled, ”Thank you, Steward He, but I feel this Wuchen Sword’s spirit has never acknowledged a master because it was waiting for me!”

Steward He kept his smile without saying more.

Ye Chen is a genius, having such pride is normal.

Whether he succeeds or not, only fate can tell.

”Young Master Ye, please,” reminded Steward He.

Ye Chen approached the Wuchen Sword.

He wasn’t worried at all about taming the top-grade spiritual sword’s sword spirit.

The Wuchen Sword is very strong.

But can it be stronger than Hua Qianxue’s Dao Sword?

Impossible!

Back when Hua Qianxue was unconscious, with the help of Luo Qingyi, even the spirit of the Dao Sword bowed down directly!

”I won’t intervene in taming this sword’s spirit; it’s also a challenge for you.” At this moment, Luo Qingyi seemed to have guessed Ye Chen’s thoughts and transmitted a message to him.

”You cultivate the Nine Heavens Sword Manual, and you’ve also practiced my Sword Control Celestial Scripture. Your future is destined to be on an unrivaled path as a sword cultivator.

What is a Sword Cultivator?

Apart from cultivation techniques and swordsmanship, the sword itself is very important.

You must understand the true essence of the sword. If you can tame this sword’s spirit by yourself, it will greatly benefit you.”

”Alright!”

In Ye Chen’s mind, he responded to Luo Qingyi with a word.

Indeed, he had thought of asking for Luo Qingyi’s help, but even without Luo Qingyi’s assistance, Ye Chen had strong confidence in himself.

Ye Chen’s gaze remained focused on the Wuchen Sword.

As he approached it.

The Wuchen Sword sensed it, and soon the sword’s body vibrated slightly with a clang, and a resounding sword sound echoed; the sword’s glow intensified, becoming radiant and bright.

Watching this scene on the side, Steward He and Qu Xiao both revealed a look of astonishment.

Ye Chen had not even formally touched the Wuchen Sword, but it had already responded to Ye Chen’s presence!

This was a very good sign!

Steward He couldn’t help but sigh, ”Perhaps, this time, the Wuchen Sword will truly find its rightful master.”

Qu Xiao nodded in agreement.

This is a top-grade spiritual sword!

In the entire Unparalleled County, the number of people who can wield a top-grade magical artifact is very small.

A top-grade magical artifact significantly enhances a martial artist’s combat power.

Ye Chen, with his Sea of Qi Realm cultivation, can already defeat the elites at the peak of the Yuan Wheel Realm; how strong will he be after acquiring this top-grade spiritual sword?

Of course, it’s not just something to envy.

The reason why there are few people holding top-grade magical artifacts in Unparalleled County is not because they are rare and expensive, but because even if someone could afford it, it doesn’t mean they can use it!

If Ye Chen could tame this top-grade spiritual sword’s spirit with his Sea of Qi Realm strength, it would be Ye Chen’s own capability!

At this moment, Ye Chen was already beside the Wuchen Sword, and the sword light emanating from its body began to create a resistance against Ye Chen.

The proud sword spirit did not want to be tamed by anyone!

A serene smile appeared on Ye Chen’s lips as the sword essence within him began to flow, releasing an intangible sharpness that burst out!

The sword essence’s sharpness did not forcibly suppress the Wuchen Sword’s resistance towards Ye Chen.

But as soon as the sharpness of the sword essence erupted, the resistance from the Wuchen Sword was significantly weakened.

Ye Chen took another step forward, extending his right hand towards the sword hilt of the Wuchen Sword.

The resistance from the sword spirit flared again.

The nine sets of sharp spiritual patterns in Ye Chen’s consciousness also radiated sharpness under the trigger of spiritual power.

The resistance from the sword spirit diminished significantly once more.

Ye Chen’s hand successfully grasped the position of the sword hilt!

Qu Xiao and Steward He of the Celestial Soldier Pavilion widened their eyes at this moment, afraid of missing any unfolding scene.

Reaching this step meant that Ye Chen was already halfway to success!

Qu Xiao might not understand the significance,

but Steward He understood it well.

The Wuchen Sword had been in the Celestial Soldier Pavilion within the Great Zhou Dynasty for over thirty years now!

During these thirty years, geniuses from all over the Great Zhou Dynasty had mostly attempted to tame the Wuchen Sword’s spirit.

Only a few managed to place their hands on the sword hilt.

And those few were strong individuals of the Mortal Transformation Realm, who reached this step by forcibly suppressing the sword spirit with immense power.

Forcefully suppressing the sword spirit was utterly useless.

Only by truly gaining the sword spirit’s recognition can one wield the Wuchen Sword.

Therefore, before Ye Chen, those who grasped the sword hilt ultimately failed.

But Ye Chen...

Steward He felt a very high possibility of successfully taming the sword spirit.

After all, Ye Chen had not suppressed the sword spirit by force; he had only revealed his aura, yet he had already grasped the sword hilt!
