Supreme Sword God

Chapter 118: Chapter 117: If You Dare, Take My Sword

”My sword, what right do you have to touch it!”

Ye Chen’s voice echoed in everyone’s ears.

Everyone present was dumbfounded.

Ye Chen... just used the Wuchen Sword...

This sword, which no one in the entire Great Zhou Dynasty had truly tamed for over thirty years, recognized Ye Chen as its master!

Moreover, the whole process... was very brief!

Thinking back to the scene of the Wuchen Sword vibrating in Ye Chen’s hand... it seemed that it wasn’t the sword resisting, but the Sword Spirit was cheering, because the Wuchen Sword was still trembling, its crisp sword cry resembling cheering children.

Liu Chuanfeng’s face looked rather grim.

This is a top-grade spiritual sword!

Even as a leader of the Dragon Guard, he didn’t have the qualification to own such a magnificent weapon.

If he could snatch the Wuchen Sword from Ye Chen, then his strength would surely soar, and his status in the Dragon Guard Army would rise dramatically!

”Ye Chen, hand over the sword, or you’ll regret it!” Liu Chuanfeng shouted coldly.

Qu Xiao frowned and said, ”Liu Chuanfeng, you’d better restrain yourself a bit; even if you’re with the Dragon Guard, you can’t be tyrannical and unreasonable in Unparalleled County.”

”According to ranking, even if your father was in front of me, he’d have to be deferential, speak humbly. You wretch, you’d better mind your tone when speaking to me, or your Commandery Governor’s Mansion will have to face my wrath!” Liu Chuanfeng spoke arrogantly.

Though just a small leader in the Dragon Guard Army, the Dragon Guard has a very special status, directly managed by the royal family. In some aspects, the Prefect of Unparalleled County indeed doesn’t match his rank.

”General Liu, we surely have to save face for the Dragon Guard, but just because you’re in the Dragon Guard, you don’t have the right to do as you please inside the Celestial Soldier Pavilion!”

Steward He’s face was ashen.

Earlier, Liu Chuanfeng seized the opportunity and suddenly struck, which was a provocation to the Celestial Soldier Pavilion!

The Celestial Soldier Pavilion dominates the Eastern Domain Cang Province; due to business reasons, it maintains excellent relations with various dynasties, but this doesn’t mean the Celestial Soldier Pavilion fears these dynasties.

Especially considering that Liu Chuanfeng himself is merely a small leader within the Dragon Guard, given preferential treatment by Prince Yong, Zhou Chengyun, thus having the mandate to come to Unparalleled County’s Celestial Soldier Pavilion to request a suitable weapon.

In other words.

Even if Prince Yong Zhou Chengyun came, he’d dare not make trouble in the Celestial Soldier Pavilion!

Liu Chuanfeng looked at Steward He and said, ”Steward He, I did act impulsively, but I’m anxious about the affairs at Demon Suppression Valley, wanting to swiftly retrieve weapons here at the Celestial Soldier Pavilion then proceed to Demon Suppression Valley to purge the Demon Race.”

Steward He said, ”The Wuchen Sword has now recognized Young Master Ye as its master, General Liu, it would be best to choose another weapon.”

How could Liu Chuanfeng willingly let go of this top-grade spiritual sword?

From his perspective, if Ye Chen could get recognition as master by the Wuchen Sword, he could too!

”Steward He, when I arrived here, Ye Chen had not yet gained recognition by the Wuchen Sword, thus it was a fair competition between him and me. Now, he has the recognition by the Wuchen Sword, but I also have a chance, do I not?

If I too could tame the Sword Spirit of the Wuchen Sword?

This is a top-grade spiritual sword; in Ye Chen’s hands, what can he do?

Humph, he’ll just flaunt it at Cangxing Martial Arts Academy and use it against the people of Celestial Sword Sect.

Doing so is completely sapping the strength of our human race internally!

Yet this sword, if controlled by me, I would be slaying the Demon Race on the battlefield, fighting to protect all the citizens of Unparalleled County. The importance of this, if Steward He does not understand, I shall personally see the Pavilion Master of the Unparalleled County’s Celestial Soldier Pavilion, I believe the Pavilion Master will make a decision!”

”No need.” Ye Chen spoke, ”The sword is in my hand; if you can take one strike from me, then the sword is yours.”

”Unacceptable!”

Qu Xiao’s face changed abruptly.

If only giving Liu Chuanfeng a chance to attempt taming the Sword Spirit, it would be alright... After all, in Qu Xiao’s view, Liu Chuanfeng couldn’t possibly tame the Sword Spirit...

Yet according to Ye Chen’s words, this would change everything!

If Liu Chuanfeng were to snatch the sword from his hand, Wuchen Sword would belong to Liu Chuanfeng!

Earlier, though Liu Chuanfeng attacked, Ye Chen defused it with a single sword strike, but it was merely a casual throw by Liu Chuanfeng, not a true display of Liu Chuanfeng’s full power.

Based on Qu Xiao’s judgment, Liu Chuanfeng’s cultivation realm should be at the Primordial Embryo Realm First Layer, and as a small leader within the Dragon Guard, Liu Chuanfeng lacks neither battle experience nor formidable cultivation techniques.

Liu Chuanfeng was instantly overjoyed, looking at Steward He, saying, ”Since Ye Chen himself proposed this, the Celestial Soldier Pavilion would no longer interfere, right?”

Steward He’s expression was heavy as he said, ”To be fair, since Ye Chen has tamed the Sword Spirit of the Wuchen Sword, all he needs is to hand over fifteen thousand lower-grade Primordial Stones, and the sword would be his... Naturally, he could treat the Wuchen Sword in any manner he pleases, but he’s only gained its recognition and hasn’t completed the transaction yet...”

Liu Chuanfeng glared at Ye Chen, saying coldly, ”Ye Chen, this sword isn’t yours at all; you’re not qualified to use it as a wager. This also proves another point: the Wuchen Sword doesn’t belong to you. It’s only rightful for me to take the sword!”

Ye Chen looked at Qu Xiao, saying, ”Miss Qu, please handle the payment of the Primordial Stones.”

Qu Xiao hesitated, wanting to further persuade Ye Chen.

Regardless, Wuchen Sword had nothing to do with the Commandery Governor’s Mansion. The payment of fifteen thousand lower-grade Primordial Stones by the Commandery was an expenditure for acquiring the batch of Ye Chen’s weapons.

But from the perspective of being fellow disciples of Cangxing Martial Arts Academy and due to personal sentiments, she hoped Ye Chen wouldn’t act impulsively!

”Miss Qu, rest assured, I have confidence. My sword, he’s not qualified to take it.” Ye Chen said.

Seeing Ye Chen resolute, Qu Xiao could no longer dissuade him. Therefore, she took out a Storage Ring and handed it to Steward He, saying, ”Steward He, here are eight thousand lower-grade Primordial Stones; the remaining seven thousand will be delivered by the Commandery within half a month.”

Lately, due to constant wars at Demon Suppression Valley, the Commandery couldn’t manage to gather such a large sum of lower-grade Primordial Stones at once.

Steward He accepted Qu Xiao’s Storage Ring.

As for the remaining seven thousand lower-grade Primordial Stones, it wasn’t deemed problematic; the Commandery wouldn’t default, nor could they even if they wanted to.

Seeing the transaction completed, Liu Chuanfeng’s eyes shone with utmost excitement!

This was excellent, regardless of whether he could gain recognition from the Spirit Sword; as long as he could defeat Ye Chen, the sword would be his. Even if he couldn’t utilize it personally, selling it would fetch at least thirty thousand lower-grade Primordial Stones, or gifting it... this certainly would elevate his status within the Dragon Guard Army to a whole new level!

Moreover, if he could leverage this opportunity to destroy Ye Chen’s invincible momentum, Ye Chen’s future would be ruined; that moment, be it the Prime Minister’s Mansion or Prince Yong, rewards would definitely ensue!

Trailing behind Liu Chuanfeng was Yu Chengguang, his face brimming with eagerness.

He earnestly wished to see Ye Chen suffer.

Once Ye Chen suffered, Liu Chuanfeng would receive great benefits, thus Liu Chuanfeng would remember Yu Chengguang’s achieved merits of intelligence today. Soon, the Yu family could latch onto the Dragon Guard, possibly stepping out of Unparalleled County, garnering fame across the Great Zhou Dynasty!

”Ye Chen, let’s begin!” Liu Chuanfeng shouted.

Ye Chen looked at Liu Chuanfeng, delivering a cold smile, ”You want the Wuchen Sword that much? Then let’s see if you can withstand a strike from it!”

As his words fell, Ye Chen unleashed a sword strike!

Instantly.

The dreadful edge of the top-grade spiritual sword surged to its peak!

The resplendent sword light swept widely, illuminating the heavens and earth, within the sword light, massive sword Qi surged, slicing towards Liu Chuanfeng!
