Chapter 92: Chapter 91: Sinister Poison, Senior Sister Falls Victim

Spirit Martial System.

To reach Ye Chen’s residence, one had to pass by the entrance to Senior Sister Liu Meng’Er’s courtyard.

The courtyard gate was open.

Ye Chen thought about how he hadn’t seen his senior sister for several days and how she had come down the mountain to find him. So, he decided to go in to greet her and apologize.

He had just stepped into the courtyard.

When he heard a scream.

”Junior Sister, hold on a bit longer, soon the poison will be forced out!”

Yuan Polu’s voice also sounded from inside the room.

”Senior Sister is poisoned?”

Ye Chen, panicked, immediately pushed open the door.

Inside the room.

Liu Meng’Er’s face was pale, and she bore several wounds with torn skin. Each wound emitted a ghastly green aura.

”Junior Brother...” Liu Meng’Er squeezed out a wan smile.

Then, Liu Meng’Er fainted.

Yuan Polu held Liu Meng’Er’s shoulder with one hand, continuously striking her back with the other, channeling power to force out the poison from Liu Meng’Er’s body bit by bit.

Ye Chen did not speak further, standing aside with clenched fists.

Although he didn’t know what had happened.

It was very likely related to him!

If not for Senior Sister coming down the mountain to find him, staying at the Martial Arts Academy, she wouldn’t have been so severely injured!

Ye Chen felt a deep sense of guilt welling up inside.

But at this moment, he couldn’t do anything.

”Earth Marrow!”

Ye Chen suddenly remembered that his Earth Marrow hadn’t been fully refined yet. Although it couldn’t cure poison, it was very effective in healing injuries.

”Senior Brother, use this!”

Ye Chen hurriedly handed the remaining Earth Marrow to Yuan Polu.

Yuan Polu, surprised that Ye Chen had such a valuable item, wasted no time. He took the Earth Marrow, refined its energy, and channeled it into Liu Meng’Er’s body.

A full half-hour passed.

The Earth Marrow’s energy was completely exhausted.

Yuan Polu sighed in relief and looked at Ye Chen, saying, ”Carry your Senior Sister to the bed.”

Ye Chen immediately complied, lifting Liu Meng’Er up. He looked at the wounds on her body, noting one hole that was barely a finger’s breadth away from the heart...

Brush with death!

After placing Liu Meng’Er on the bed, Ye Chen promptly turned to Yuan Polu, asking, ”Senior Brother, what exactly happened?”

Yuan Polu remained seated on his meditation mat, saying, ”Teacher defeated the Celestial Sword Sect, the Sect Alliance stepped in to suppress the matter, and then Teacher went to the Sect Alliance.

Currently, those in the Celestial Sword Sect who exceed the Elemental Wheel Realm or Tier Four Spirit Master level are not allowed to step outside the mountain gate.

Unwilling to tolerate this humiliation, the Celestial Sword Sect sent all their Sea of Qi Realm, Elemental Wheel Realm, and Tier Three and Four Spirit Masters to Unrivaled County.

Your Senior Sister went to Unrivaled County to find you, ran into them, and fought... ending up like this.

Yesterday, I received news that your Senior Sister was being pursued, rushed to rescue her, fortunately arrived in time, or else...”

Yuan Polu didn’t finish his sentence.

But Ye Chen understood what the words meant.

If he had been any later, Liu Meng’Er would have died!

An icy killing intent suddenly erupted from Ye Chen’s body.

”Senior Brother, our Senior Sister was chased down, does the Martial Arts Academy just ignore it?” Ye Chen asked through gritted teeth.

”It’s not ignoring it, the Martial Arts Academy and the Sect Alliance have established rules; those exceeding the Elemental Wheel Realm or Tier Four Spirit Master cannot act.

This agreement cannot be broken.

If it is broken, then the powerful forces from both sides will slaughter each other’s lower-level members, chaos will ensue uncontrollably.

People from both the Star Martial System and Star Spirit System have been sent for rescue...”

Ye Chen took a deep breath and said, ”What about the Star Pill System? Why is the Star Pill System ignorant when our Senior Sister is injured and poisoned?!”

Yuan Polu smiled bitterly, saying, ”We follow a combined path of spirit and martial arts, our power characteristics are different from others, so even if they wanted to help, they couldn’t.”

After saying this.

Yuan Polu leaned sideways and collapsed as well.

Soon after, wisps of ghastly green air flowed out from Yuan Polu’s body.

Senior Brother Yuan Polu was poisoned too!

Ye Chen grew immensely tense.

He could remain calm when he himself faced danger.

But now, as his Senior Brother and Senior Sister were in trouble because of him, Ye Chen panicked!

”Elder Qingyi, Elder Qingyi, how can I save them? Tell me quickly, hurry!”

Ye Chen shouted anxiously.

”Bang!”

A fierce wind gusted into the room.

Yang Tianji’s figure appeared.

Ye Chen immediately called out, ”Teacher, teacher, quickly save Senior Brother and Senior Sister, hurry...”

Yang Tianji understood Ye Chen’s panic and didn’t mind it. His brows furrowed as he said, ”For now, don’t go anywhere, let me bring these two back from Ghost Gate first!”

Soon, a gentle force pushed Ye Chen out of the room.

The door shut tightly!

Standing outside the room, Ye Chen’s thoughts were in disarray.

Before, he had caused the tragic deaths of his clan members.

Now, he’s brought calamity upon his Senior Brother and Senior Sister...

Even his teacher, Yang Tianji, such a formidable figure, wore an expression so grave. It was evident how terrifying the poison affecting his Senior Brother and Senior Sister was.

”They are likely to survive; your teacher’s strength is very formidable.”

Luo Qingyi’s voice echoed in Ye Chen’s mind.

”Elder Qingyi, what if my teacher can’t save them, can you?”

”My powers shouldn’t be activated recklessly, besides, to save them, the main thing is to detoxify first, if the poison isn’t removed, even if I preserve their lives, their cultivation won’t be preserved.

Your Senior Brother’s poisoning is far more severe than your Senior Sister’s. He actually had no means to suppress your Senior Sister’s toxicity; he resorted to the most foolish method, he transferred most of the poison from your Senior Sister’s body to his own.”

Upon hearing Luo Qingyi’s transmitted message.

Ye Chen’s eyes turned red.

In his impression, Senior Brother Yuan Polu was just a boorish fool.

But this boorish fool, in order to save Senior Sister, directly transferred the deadly poison into his own body... just like in the depths of Luoyao Mountain Range, knowing the demonic beasts were rampaging, he was unwilling to leave.

After the tragedy in the Ye Family, Ye Chen only experienced warmth twice in his heart.

The first time, brought by Hua Qianxue.

Now, it was the second time.

But this second warmth left him unable to accept the impending consequences!

Ye Chen took a deep breath and immediately dashed out of the courtyard.

Quickly, Ye Chen rushed out of the Spirit Martial System, coincidentally meeting a fatty coming his way.

”Brother Ye!”

The fatty shouted loudly, then stopped before Ye Chen, gasping, ”Brother Ye, I heard about the matter. On the way, I obtained some of your Senior Sister’s dropped poisonous blood, it seems she’s been poisoned by a mix of Curse Soul Powder, Blood-dissolving Miasma, and Withered Essence Pill. This poison specifically targets you, the Spirit Martial System!”

Ye Chen grabbed the fatty’s arm, asking, ”Brother Fatty, since you identified this poison, can you cure it?”

The fatty replied, ”Not very confident.”

Ye Chen let go of the fatty’s arm, continuing onward.

The fatty hurriedly caught up, saying, ”Brother Ye, are you heading to Unrivaled County?”

”Yes, the one who poisoned must have a way to detoxify!”

”It’s useless, this poison is clearly made to kill fellows of the Spirit Martial System, why would they carry the antidote themselves?

How about this, I’ll return to continue researching the characteristics of the poison, Brother Ye, find a way to obtain a sample of the poison, so that I can more easily find a method of detoxification.”

”Okay!”

With those words, Ye Chen vanished from his spot!

He couldn’t afford to waste a single moment!

Having stayed at the Spirit Martial System for over a month.

His contact with Yang Tianji wasn’t much, but Yang Tianji saved his life in Qingyun City, and this time Yang Tianji fought Celestial Sword Sect for him.

In the Freshman Hunt, Senior Brother Yuan Polu protected him in secret, although there were many complications along the way, even when the Demon King rampaged in the depths of Luoyao Mountain Range, Yuan Polu persisted in seeking help, unwilling to leave.

Liu Meng’Er, previously brewing medicines for him, handled a lot of tedious chores thoroughly, and this time, to find him, she nearly died!

So, Ye Chen couldn’t remain uninvolved in this matter.

This matter arose because of him, hence, he must shoulder the responsibility and resolve it!
