Supreme Sword God

Chapter 59: Chapter 59: Heaven-Ascending Step, the Fastest in the World

No more entanglement over the Spirit Patterns.

Luo Qingyi said, ”Go chop those two legs.”

The bit of gloom in Ye Chen’s heart from earlier instantly vanished into thin air.

Those two legs, known as the fastest in this world, were suppressed by the Nine Heavens Sword God in the Sword Tomb, must have very special aspects.

He had been quite curious about them for a long time.

Now, he can finally go see them!

The light on Qingyi’s body suddenly rolled up, enveloping Ye Chen, and then the two of them disappeared from their original spot and arrived at a barren place.

In sight, there was a barren mountain.

At the mountain top, there were two legs!

Very sturdy!

Muscles bulged like rocks.

Those two legs, the right calf resting on the left thigh, were like a lazy person lying on the ground sunbathing, if there were a body.

What a pity.

No body.

This is the Sword Tomb; though there’s light, it’s not sunlight.

Ye Chen couldn’t help but chuckle.

He thought it would look quite magnificent, but unexpectedly, it ended up like this. Looking closely, there were even many leg hairs.

”Tian Can, let’s begin!”

Luo Qingyi shouted coldly.

Yet, there was no response, and neither of the legs showed any intention to move.

Luo Qingyi snorted coldly.

”Buzz!”

Streams of Sword Qi shot out from her body.

On the surface of each stream of Sword Qi, there were special patterns, which in Ye Chen’s perception were somewhat similar to Spirit Patterns but fundamentally different!

These patterns were immeasurably stronger than Spirit Patterns.

”Luo Qingyi, stop threatening me!”

At this moment, a voice emerged from within those two legs on the barren mountaintop.

Ye Chen didn’t find anything unusual about it.

The world of the powerful is just that special.

”Looks like you’re not afraid of being chopped yet.”

Luo Qingyi said indifferently, and then the surrounding Sword Qi roared forth.

”Hold on!”

The two legs voiced alarm, then immediately stood up, swiftly rushing down from the mountaintop, and stomped out footprints one after another in front of Ye Chen and Luo Qingyi!

A total of seven footprints.

After stomping them out.

The two legs quickly returned to the mountaintop.

Luo Qingyi retrieved her Sword Qi, looked at Ye Chen, and said, ”Step on these footprints at least ten times.”

Seven steps in each pass.

Ten passes would be seventy steps.

Ye Chen said, ”Elder Qingyi, is it that simple?”

As to why he should step, Ye Chen could somewhat guess without asking. These footprints should be some kind of special Body Technique.

Luo Qingyi glanced at Ye Chen and said, ”Think ten passes are too few? Then twenty passes.”

”If he can complete twenty passes, I’ll call him grandpa!”

The two legs at the mountaintop suddenly spoke.

Luo Qingyi glanced with killing intent, looked at Ye Chen, and said, ”Thirty passes, make him call ancestor!”

Ye Chen: ”...”

Luo Qingyi said no more.

Ye Chen stepped towards the first footprint, his right leg stepping out. As the sole of his foot aligned with the footprint, an anomaly suddenly occurred!

Within the footprint, there was actually a peculiar force that flowed into Ye Chen’s foot, then surged into his leg!

The Qi Blood and elemental force within his leg were rapidly rushing under this unique power and then impacting his leg’s acupoints.

”Pop!”

A sound of explosion rang out.

The trouser leg shattered into pieces.

Ye Chen’s right leg had blood vessels bulging, becoming sturdy.

This leg... was rapidly turning numb, with a tendency to lose feeling!

No wonder Luo Qingyi only mentioned ten passes... There was such a mysterious element within.

Ye Chen wasn’t in a hurry to take the second step, just stood in place and comprehended the power’s operation within his right leg.

Qi Blood and elemental force were operating in an extremely complex path while impacting the acupoints of the right leg.

Every acupoint, once impacted by this force, would erupt with explosive power, and these explosive powers linked together, forming a perfect cycle.

”Only one step and already can’t persevere.”

”Master of the Sword Tomb, truly a waste!”

”Luo Qingyi, I advise you to give up on this; my Heaven-Ascending Step isn’t so easy to learn!”

The two legs at the mountaintop continued to sneer mockingly.

Luo Qingyi didn’t even bother to respond.

Just wait to be proven wrong!

No face to slap, then wait for your legs to be slapped!

You’ll soon know Ye Chen’s talent in face-slapping.

After a moment.

Ye Chen took the second step.

He had thought the footprints seemed normal.

But truly walking them revealed these seemingly ordinary steps were extremely awkward, contrary to typical walking norms.

As with the first footprint, the second also had power rushing into Ye Chen’s leg!

Ye Chen’s left leg suddenly became sturdy too, stretching the trouser leg to shreds.

However, the way the Qi Blood and elemental force impacted the acupoints from the second footprint was significantly different from the first.

Ye Chen tried to memorize these power operation methods.

......

Half an hour passed.

The first pass was finally completed.

Luo Qingyi remained composed.

The two legs at the mountaintop continued to mock.

Ye Chen kept walking!

The second pass took slightly less time than the first.

The third pass took less time than the second.

......

The ninth pass, a quarter-hour!

Luo Qingyi gazed at those two legs atop the mountain and said, ”Get ready to call him ancestor.”

Those two legs shivered, hairs trembled, and fell silent.

Actually, right now, Ye Chen had mysterious hot currents surging within him.

This bizarre Heaven-Ascending Step would inflict considerable damage upon his legs every time he completed a pass.

But once his body was injured, the mysterious hot currents would rapidly flow out to repair it.

Without these mysterious hot currents, Ye Chen believed completing ten passes really would be his limit, but with their support, making those two legs call him grandpa or ancestor wouldn’t be a problem!

The tenth pass, less than a quarter-hour.

Now, Ye Chen had a clear concept of how the Qi Blood and elemental force impacted the acupoints in both legs.

However, many subtle details remained elusive.

The eleventh pass, Ye Chen’s speed slowed.

He carefully sensed the subtle changes.

The pores on those two legs at the mountaintop opened, and air flowed out, as if they sighed with relief...

Luo Qingyi secretly chuckled.

Think it’s over?

Grandpas and ancestors, you’re set to call!

Indeed, Ye Chen’s speed slowed.

But every step he took was steadier!

He even found himself actively controlling Qi Blood and elemental force in the acupoint impacts.

When Ye Chen completed nineteen passes.

Those two legs atop the mountain turned green.

Really going to call grandpa?

Even ancestor?

The twentieth pass, only one step left.

Ye Chen lifted his foot, slightly tilted, and this step missed, landing elsewhere.

He panted, looking at Luo Qingyi, ”Elder Qingyi, just missed it.”

Luo Qingyi nodded.

This kid, doing it on purpose!

At this moment, those two legs on the mountaintop dashed down and stood aside, speaking with a casual tone, ”Good kid, no wonder you became the Master of the Sword Tomb. Your aptitude is impressive; you qualify to learn my Heaven-Ascending Step!

The Heaven-Ascending Step has five levels.

First level, Shrink the Ground to an Inch.

Second level, Vertical Earth Golden Light.

Third level, Divine Stride of Hundred Changes.

Fourth level, Horizons within Reach.

Fifth level, One Step to Heaven.

Learn it well; it surpasses the Nine Heavens Sword Manual by far!”

Ye Chen didn’t reply.

Luo Qingyi bore a killing aura.

Now, delight surged within Ye Chen’s heart; although the two legs didn’t call grandpa or ancestor, they saved face for him, and clearly, their attitude towards him had shifted.

Luo Qingyi used the sword to force him to teach her the Heaven-Ascending Step.

How can it compare to teaching willingly?

If forced, he surely wouldn’t reveal everything to her.

Winning him over, he’d teach the entire Heaven-Ascending Step!
