Supreme Sword God

Chapter 63: Chapter 62: Secrets and a Hidden Killing Plot_2

After you hunt the Tier One Demon Beast, bring back the demon core.

Tier One Demon Beast counts for one point.

Tier Two Demon Beast counts for five points.

Outer Disciple, with ten points or more, will be considered to have passed the assessment.

Inner Courtyard Disciple, with thirty points or more, will be considered to have passed the assessment.

Those unable to pass the assessment will face penalties.

Moreover, this assessment is different from the past, picking the top three from inner and outer courtyards.

The first place in the inner courtyard will receive an additional reward of five hundred points.

The second place in the inner courtyard will receive an additional reward of three hundred points.

The third place in the inner courtyard will receive an additional reward of one hundred points.

Aside from points rewards, the top three can all enter the Pure Origin Secret Realm for one session of training.

The first place in the outer courtyard will receive an additional reward of one hundred points.

The second place in the outer courtyard will receive an additional reward of eighty points.

The third place in the outer courtyard will receive an additional reward of fifty points.

Aside from points rewards, the top three can all directly be promoted to Inner Courtyard Disciples.”

After the elder announced the rules, the crowd stirred.

This year, the reward for the Martial Arts Academy’s new student hunting event is much greater compared to previous years!

”Master Uncle, what about hunting a Tier Three Demon Beast... how is it counted?” Yu Hui asked softly.

The elder glanced at Yu Hui.

In past years, hunting Tier Three Demon Beasts at the new student hunting event was practically impossible.

But this year... things are different, Yu Hui, this little fatty, is a Tier Two Spirit Master, and Ye Chen of the Star Martial System is also a fierce character who can fight against ordinary Tier Three Demon Beasts. There’s a guy in the Star Martial System rumored to have secrets...

”Hunting Tier Three Demon Beast, one demon core will count for twenty points.

However, I don’t recommend you to go after Tier Three Demon Beasts, if anyone wants to try, dying is dying, no one will take responsibility for you. Every year during the new student hunting event, a dozen or so deaths occur, the Martial Arts Academy doesn’t pursue it.”

After the elder finished speaking.

Many people’s faces changed.

Indeed, every year at the Cangxing Martial Arts Academy’s new student hunting event, there are casualties.

Yu Hui laughed slyly, saying, ”Master Uncle, I was just asking casually.”

The elder emphasized with a serious tone, ”Unless you go deep into the fifty-mile range of the Luoyao Mountain Range, encountering Tier Three Demon Beasts is unlikely.”

Yu Hui remained silent, and the others did not speak either.

The elder’s eyes scanned the crowd again, then said, ”If everyone understands, then let’s set off!”

......

Two days later.

A group arrived at the edge of the vast mountain range.

Most had anxious expressions.

A few were full of fighting spirit.

Ye Chen looked at the Luoyao Mountain Range ahead, feeling a sense of anticipation!

Practitioners need to grow through battles.

Shutting the door and following the rules won’t make a strong cultivator.

The elder said, ”The new student hunting event lasts for ten days, those who can’t endure can retreat, and will be considered as giving up. Those who give up, whether from the inner or outer courtyard, will be expelled from the Martial Arts Academy without exception.”

This phrase was undoubtedly another bombshell!

The elder had no intentions to explain further, shouted, ”Into the mountains!”

The next moment, the group rushed towards the Luoyao Mountain Range, whether willing or not.

Naturally, Yu Hui accompanied Ye Chen.

Once within the mountains, Yu Hui said, ”Brother Ye, don’t you feel something’s wrong?”

Ye Chen looked at Fatty and asked, ”What is it?”

”This year’s assessment of the Cangxing Martial Arts Academy is different from before, emphasizing adaptability in danger and mentality.

The rewards for the new student hunting event are greater than before, and the penalties are equally more severe than previous years.

I think this might be preparation for something.”

”What thing?”

Fatty said, ”Brother Ye, have you heard of the Demon Race?”

Ye Chen’s expression turned somewhat strange.

Not only has he heard, but he has killed quite a few...

The Demon Race formed from the remnants of Celestial Demon souls is real demon creatures, and each time Ye Chen refines a monument, he must kill some.

However, there’s no need to speak of these matters.

”There’s a place here at Unrivaled County called Demon Suppression Valley, which has many demon races. Cangxing Martial Arts Academy and the military forces of Unrivaled County have united to guard Demon Suppression Valley, but recently, I’ve heard it’s been hard to hold...

Thus, Cangxing Martial Arts Academy has shifted from the previous gentle nurturing approach to a more aggressive method.”

Ye Chen nodded and asked, ”Brother Fatty, how did you know this?”

Fatty replied, ”My teacher told me.”

Really?

Ye Chen didn’t bother to question its truth.

Fatty has always had secrets, Ye Chen has known long before.

Before joining the Martial Arts Academy, he was already a Tier Two Earth Seal Spirit Master, with special methods to block an angry strike from Meng Changfeng.

Seeing Ye Chen unconcerned, Yu Hui said, ”Brother Ye, perhaps you don’t know the terror of the Demon Race.”

”Knowing or not knowing is meaningless, as long as you are strong, you can face everything fearlessly!”

Yu Hui: ”...”

At that point, Ye Chen had already quickened his pace, rushing forward.

Yu Hui watched Ye Chen’s back and did not follow.

At this new student hunting event, others need to go together, but not him and Ye Chen. Sticking together would only drag each other down.

Moreover.

Both have secrets.

Keeping a little distance is good.

......

Meanwhile.

At Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, in the Star Spirit System, Meng Zitao entered a secret chamber to meet his father Meng Changtian.

”Dad, calculating the time, Ye Chen should have already arrived at Luoyao Mountain Range!” As Meng Zitao spoke, his eyes were bloodshot, and his fists clenched tightly.

The grudge of a severed wrist, he has never forgotten!

Although both hands had recovered through intensive treatment with countless spirit pills and treasures, the matter was not resolved.

Upon hearing the name Ye Chen, a cold killing intent burst from Meng Changtian.

A month ago, because of Ye Chen, Hua Qianxue severed one of his arms, and the injury to the arm was minor. The key was that the source of the spirit seal in his Sea of Consciousness was severely damaged, he’d forever be stuck at the Tier Five Spirit Master level in this life.

Meng Changtian lacked the courage to confront Hua Qianxue.

This rage could only be vented on Ye Chen!

”Zitao, the headmaster and Yang Tianji, that old immortal, have been watching us, so we cannot act. But rest assured, I’ve arranged everything, Ye Chen is destined not to return.” Meng Changtian said.

Meng Zitao responded, ”Dad, I also made arrangements, I’ve had the Bai Family take action...”

Although the Bai Family in Unrivaled County is not a major family, it has some power.

Bai Sen and Bai Feng, the only heirs of this generation of the Bai Family, both died at Ye Chen’s hands.

The Bai Family dared not seek revenge while Ye Chen was at Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, but now that Ye Chen has gone to Luoyao Mountain Range, it’s much easier to act.

”Foolishness!”

Meng Changtian suddenly shouted angrily, ”Immediately have the Bai Family stop!”

”Dad... why?” Meng Zitao was puzzled.

”Regardless of whether the Bai Family succeeds or fails, it’ll be easy to trace back to you. By then, it will become troublesome!” Meng Changtian’s face showed fear.

Hua Qianxue might leave, and Ye Chen perhaps won’t have any further involvement.

But... Ye Chen is now a disciple of Cangxing Martial Arts Academy, backed by Yang Tianji and Ouyang Shang!

If things are exposed, Meng Changtian has no confidence in protecting his son.

Meng Zitao’s face turned pale, ”Dad, the Bai Family has already set off... and even hired many assassins...”

Meng Changtian stared at Meng Zitao, his expression extremely grave. After a long silence, he took a deep breath and said, ”I hope Celestial Sword Sect moves faster.”

”Dad, your arrangement involves Celestial Sword Sect?”

This time, it was Meng Zitao who was shocked.

Meng Changtian nodded, ”Only Celestial Sword Sect is most suited to killing Ye Chen. Since the Bai Family has already begun, it cannot be stopped, and everyone in the Bai Family who has interacted with you must not be spared!”
