Chapter 966: Chapter 948: Eldest Son of the Sun

The body of Elderidge, resembling putty, indeed springs up quickly.

But compared to the Qilin, it inevitably lacks a bit of finesse.

The new continent’s ancient dragon, with its super-fast reaction speed, keeps up perfectly with Lann’s information exchange.

As soon as the two front hooves landed, creating a web-like pit on the marble floor, the two hind hooves had already changed direction.

”Whiz!”

The dragon’s body, clad in a magic horse harness, sliced through the air with a sharp whooshing sound.

Just as Elderidge was momentarily stunned, Lann had already ridden past its tar-like body on the Qilin.

Sitting in front of Lann, Rong Buqiu used its tiny paws to precisely grip Gwendolin’s arm.

Then, putting all its might into it, even its fluffy tail straightened.

”Gotcha, meow!”

The kitten’s voice distorted in the rush of wind, leading Gwendolin, still stunned, to be pulled swiftly into Lann’s embrace.

Meanwhile, Lann grabbed the mighty, pale mane of the Qilin, puffed up by static.

With the other hand, as they passed by, he snagged the chains on the giant blacksmith.

These chains previously didn’t hinder the giant blacksmith’s movements, as they seemed to symbolize his slave status.

But now, this emblem of slavery saved the life of the enslaved blacksmith giant.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye.

The hand grabbing the giant’s chains, the muscles under the armor suddenly swelled, with veins forming lines like dragons on the bulging muscles.

The hormones from the [Holy Chant Gland] efficiently and precisely stimulated the corresponding muscles and bones.

The giant, realizing this might be a critical moment, used his remaining leg to push backward, reducing the resistance Lann faced.

The Qilin’s front hooves flashed with tranquil blue lightning, and with a long cry, then a boom!

The hooves kicked the gates of the chamber behind.

The chamber’s gates flew open immediately, and borrowing the strength from the giant’s backward push, Lann smoothly pulled the colossal giant, easily weighing dozens of tons, out.

At the chamber entrance was a staircase leading downward, and after Lann let go, the pulled-out giant automatically rolled down the steps.

The sound was like a stone rolling downhill.

Yet Gwendolin, cradled in Lann’s arms, let out a feeble but resolute protest.

His slender arms strained against Lann.

”You... you must not act on your own accord!”

”This is Yanorlund, the dignity of the Sun Royal Family! It must not be, must not be ceded to the abyss! Even in death, I shall die fighting here, determined not to disgrace the Divine Race!”

If Gwendolin wanted to flee, his magic would have allowed him to vanish long ago.

Since he chose to stay and battle Elderidge, he no longer placed his life first.

Thus, Lann forcibly taking him away led to his rejection.

But the Demon Hunter had his say too.

Lann’s large hand directly pressed down Gwendolin’s arm pushing him.

”This chamber is not the ’dignity of the Divine Race’, killing Elderidge is the dignity! Besides...”

The Qilin’s light footsteps slowed down after descending the steps, standing together with the finally stopped rolling giant.

Though the distance wasn’t far for Elderidge.

Curiously, having hurriedly rescued Gwendolin and a giant, Lann didn’t continue to move further away.

Instead, he tilted his head on horseback, watching Elderidge’s sticky body squeeze through the door like a spectator.

He softly spoke to Gwendolin in his arms.

”This chamber likely won’t exist anymore either.”

”What... what do you mean?”

Faced with Lann’s nonchalant tone, Gwendolin couldn’t quite comprehend.

But soon, even the previously resisting Shadow Sun turned serious and fell quiet.

He sensed a familiar force.

A great and familiar force, the power of sunlight unstoppable, swept away all enemies daring to block its path during the Fire Age’s initiation.

Even the immortal ancient dragons perished before it!

Elderidge’s pliable, ooze-like body was still squeezing through the door.

But suddenly, the viscous tar-like body froze as if solidifying.

Different from the surprise Elderidge revealed earlier when Lann barged in... he was frightened!

Frightened by such formidable sunlight power!

”Whiz!!!”

A golden electric flash, like an illusion, fleetingly crossed by.

This electric light was crafted exceptionally thin, swinging down from the chamber’s upper angle.

In the brief yet terrifying silence that followed...

”Boom!!!”

The storm began to rage!

And just now, the massive sleeping palace, already covered with golden lightning from the swing of the sword spear, had its entire roof blown off!

The ancient divine capital of the Divine Race, even without mentioning the protective magic and structures from the Mythical Era.

Just the materials alone, the weakest point on the wall is at least two meters thick!

And the dome supported by such heavy walls is nearly a solid spire!

The building mass, tens of thousands of tons, along with the weakened protective magic of the Divine Race, was merely a single swing of the sword spear in front of the Nameless King.

The entire sleeping palace had its lid blown off!

The storm dragon under the Nameless King looked far more petite than a giant flying dragon, its feather-covered form and slender skeleton resembling a bird more.

But under the flapping of the storm dragon’s wings, the massive architectural dome was enveloped by the storm.

Colliding and grinding against each other in the whirling air.

The sound of building materials being ground mixed with the huge wind and thunder, making one’s eardrums ache.

If not for this cataclysmic power actually being under control, Lann would have long been ready to relocate.

Under that dark thundercloud sky, golden lightning occasionally flashed, illuminating the sky for a brief moment.

The Nameless King, wielding the Dragon Hunting Sword Spear, stood coldly and indifferently on the flapping storm dragon’s head, overlooking the former home.

Then, he slowly raised the hand not holding the sword spear and grasped into the air.

As the black steel-like hand closed to a certain extent, a golden lightning bolt just happened to strike down from the ever-rolling thunderclouds!

The Nameless King caught it perfectly!

As if the thunderclouds obediently delivered their power into his hand.

This posture looked no different from any ordinary priest capable of casting the ”Lightning Spear” miracle.

But anyone with eyes and a bit of knowledge would know how vastly different the golden lightning spear in the Nameless King’s hand was from the stories depicted in common miracles.

This lightning was the external manifestation of the power his father obtained from the First Flame. It was the power of the Light Lord Soul among the four original souls born in the First Flame.

And when this power was sung by people, it became a story with power, thus a ”miracle.”

This story was called ”Sunshine Spear.”

It was the great story of him and his father hunting the Ancient Dragons and opening the Fire Age.

Elderidge felt as if his body was about to solidify!

What is this power?

Who is this person?

Why does Ilyushil, the Divine Race, have such a figure?!

This power, even when he connected to the First Flame and started burning, at his most painful yet strongest moment, might not be something he could hold well!

How does the Divine Race still have such a person?!

How can they still have such a person?!

At that moment, Elderidge’s already small courage, and insufficient bravery nearly collapsed completely under the aura of the Nameless King wielding the Sunshine Spear!

Meanwhile, Lann, who wasn’t much affected by the big scene due to the excellent control of the storm dragon and the Nameless King, had already turned his horse around.

”I seem to have heard your soul whisper just now, that ’Divine Race’s lightning is useless against me...’ or something.”

The Demon Hunter smiled and waved to that pool of tar.

”Now, think about it. This is a good opportunity for you to verify that statement, ’Lord of Cinder’.”

’Bastard! Scoundrel!’

Elderidge, nearly driven mad by the Nameless King, even his soul’s whispers were somewhat unclear, lacking logic, only cursing endlessly.

Meanwhile, Lann also jumped off the Qilin’s back, patting the Ancient Dragon of the New Continent, signaling it to first take Gwendolin away.

As Lann approached the nearly solidified with fear Elderidge, he gave a glance to the Giant Blacksmith while passing by.

Signaled him to leave too, having lost a small leg.

The Qilin and Rong Buqiu on its back had no particular reaction, but the delicate Gwendolin clutching his heart looked like he wanted to reach out to keep him.

Elderidge was a terrifying, devouring Lord of Cinder.

Even having seen his elder brother, Gwendolin had not forgotten the terrifying pain of his two snake legs being ’gnawed.’

But a furry little paw stopped Gwendolin’s hand.

”It’s better not to stop Lann, meow.”

Rong Buqiu, adjusting its position while taking over the control of the Qilin’s mane from Lann, said to the Shadow Sun.

The kitten’s voice naturally had a soft, childish accent, but Rong Buqiu’s expression when saying these words was so serious that one couldn’t immediately think of it as ’cute.’

”You think Lann is human, so you don’t see anything wrong with him running away from a god and Lord of Cinder fight, right, meow?”

”But I must tell you, meow, although it doesn’t show on the surface, in reality...”

Rong Buqiu looked at Gwendolin.

”He is someone who is too proud to admit to failure!”

”If he fails, he will regroup and come back with full force, until he succeeds. Any other Divine Race, Lord of Cinder, the difference in status is not even qualified to be within his consideration, meow.”

Rong Buqiu looked longingly at Lann, who was heading toward Elderidge, speaking with some admiration.

”Not long ago, Elderidge was wounded before him, but he also suffered a loss because of that, meow.”

”Feels unconcerned on the surface, but in reality... he certainly wants to erase that stain with his own hands, meow!”

”Don’t disturb him!”
