Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 550: Interlude: Council of Cloned Lunas!

Meanwhile, at a tower five minutes to the west of Nikolai. Six women stood amidst the burning ruins of a building. They each wore a tightly fitted bodysuit, with sleeveless leather jackets and leading them were two particular women.

One short, with silver hair combed back and sharp golden eyes, while the one beside her was graceful and tall with platinum blonde hair and crimson eyes.

The shorter woman squatted while tossing the broken shards of concrete, a wide grin on her lips as she traced a man’s name on the dusty surface with a heart.

”Honey is so cruel.”

”Oh my, and why’s that Nikita?”

Selene glanced at her original rival with a tilted head, then clicked her tongue. The changes in Nikita’s body and atmosphere were like heaven and earth. If she couldn’t match her physically before, then now it was too foolish to consider.

”He’s off fighting with all those maids, while we’re slaving away destroying buildings.”

”Fufu, but isn’t that what you wanted?” Nikita spat on the ground in response to her rival before rocking herself with enough force to sling herself to her feet. She glanced back at Selene with a distorted smile, her eyes shifting between the other women and a tower in the distance.

”Well, you’re not wrong.” She curled her lips, deepening her wolfish grin. ”Didn’t we all want to use our clones to determine the current ranking between ourselves?”

The moment her eyes traced over the women taking a rest, all of them stood straight and returned her smile with a fiery fighting spirit. When the smallest of the group, with her silky black hair and green eyes, stepped forward, Nikita’s eyes shone brighter.

”You’re right, sister! But don’t think you’re advantage will last.”

With the snap of her wrist, Risa flicked a dagger at Nikita. The blade tore through the air with a rapid rotation, before slicing her cheek ever so slightly and, with a bang, embedded itself in the stone behind her.

A trickle of blood oozed from the thin slice that appeared, while Nikita’s bizarre smile remained, and she didn’t move or retaliate.

”Is Risa’s view the same as the rest of you?”

”Does it really matter so much, who is first and who is last? Our petty ranking mean’s nothing when our husband loves sleeping with us so much.” Amphitrite rolled her finger inside her hair while lifting the corners of her lips.

”Wipe that smug grin off your face, fish!”

”Can it mutt.”

Although she had avoided getting involved in the past, from the moment Nikolai fertilised Amphitrite’s eggs, she stopped. If the girls fought, she’d take sides with Kumiko or the peacekeeper and stop anything before it reached Nikolai’s ears.

Beside her, Kumiko remained silent while observing the movements of all six women. Lunaria stood to the side and rarely got involved in these subjects. ’She’s the most dangerous.’ Kumiko thought to herself while glancing at the other women.

Selene stepped forward. Her heels tapped the floor with a resonating click. ”I don’t mind what you girls do, as long as it benefits Nikolai.” Her eyes scanned the women around her, only shifting into a narrow glare when watching Nikita and Kumiko.

Nikita, Selene, Risa, Kumiko, Amphitrite and Lunaria.

The women known as Nikolai’s Lunas to the rest of the clan, each of them vying for Nikolai’s love, time and affection.

The air trembled as their energies started growing, each of the women a princess, a royal in their own right.

Their love for Nikolai might have started at different levels or through a shallower connection. But in the past six months, each of them grew as women, wives and lovers, especially after becoming pregnant.

Thanks to learning Kumiko and Risa’s cloning techniques, they could finally settle issues between themselves without worrying Nikolai or damaging their unborn children.

”I am happy to remain in the lowest seat, just having a single evening with him is enough for me, he treasures me and treats me like his queen because we meet less.” Amphitrite’s hands stroked her body, with eyes tightly shut as if remembering those memories. ”But.” Then her eyes snapped open, and countless tendrils spread from the ground around her. ”I can’t do that anymore, like you... my sisters. I’ve become addicted to his kindness.”

Nikita’s eyes widened at her response, while the other women also turned to face their mermaid sister. It might have been the first time that Amphitrite asked for more and even challenged them seriously.

”I always knew you’d hook darling with those disgusting tentacles.” Nikita goaded her with a ferocious expression half between a beast’s smile and a monster’s frown.

Around them, the fire still devoured the ruins slowly, with collapsed beams crumbling into dust, but none of the women paid attention, and the tension building between the six Lunas grew as their auras exploded from Amphitrite’s words.

”Hmm... My my, I never expected even sister Amphitrite to become so competitive.”

A soft voice with a calming tone echoed around the women, and before they reacted, Kumiko stepped forward and fanned herself with a faint smile. ”I believe there’s no need to keep fighting over a position or how much our beloved husband adores us.” She glanced at each of the women, their heads turning away slightly and lowering. ”If anyone deserves to receive his love more, isn’t it me?”

Selene, Nikita, Risa and even Lunaria gazed at Kumiko in shock, because they couldn’t deny it. This beautiful woman, from the start, never approached Nikolai too heavily or became jealous. Not to mention, she supported each of the current Lunas and helped stabilise and nurture a less toxic relationship between them.

”Sister Kumi, that’s...”

Risa’s voice trembled as she struggled to continue; they seemed to have always had a notion that she would remain neutral.

A low crackle of static rolled across the ground as Nikita’s golden energy bled through her skin, stretching her shadow like a feral beast ready to pounce. Selene’s aura became sharp, like a blade prepared to pierce anyone who faced her.

”This is rather complicated.” Kumiko covered her lips using her fan, while grinning at the situation with half-closed eyes and fluttering lashes in delight.

The six women who stopped their fights and conflicts, holding their jealousy and intense emotions to make their husbands happy, started to crack. Past limits, desires and the chance to prove themselves thanks to this new method brought a sort of lunacy during the full moon above them.

”Maybe we shouldn’t fight in this way.”

”Eh?”

”Are you serous, Luna?”

Lunaria’s words sparked a sudden split in the aggression; instead, she spread her arms and glanced at each of the women. ”Why do we get so hung up on who he loves more. Isn’t it a fact that our little wolf adores the woman in front of him at the time the most?”

Nikita bit her lip while grumbling. ”Damn, she has a point.”

”I mean...”

”Then, Sister Lunaria. What is your suggestion?”

Kumiko’s lips curved slowly into a deep grin, hidden by the fan in front of her lips, and even her eyes resembled crescent moons the moment Lunaria spoke.

”Can’t we all work together, especially when he promised us all dates after this mission?”

”Work together?” Selene glanced at her sister as if she were a patient from an asylum, but she swallowed her words and left it at a question.

Risa actually remained silent, while Lunaria stepped forward. ”We all know different aspects of darling, what he likes, or wants. Be it during sex, normal life and his desires.” Luna’s eyes shone brighter with each word, her silver orbs like full moons. ”So why don’t we stop hiding our secrets, and share everything.”

”Oh my, everything?” Kumiko flapped her fan with a low chuckle. ”Do you mean for us to share the things we do that make our dear husband mad with lust and desire too?” She tilted her head, letting her soft hair droop down her chest and then pulled away the mask, revealing Kumiko’s beautiful smile. ”I’m happy to do that.”

”Eh!? Really?” Risa exclaimed.

”Of course, if we all work together then won’t darling desire us more. It’s not just us Lunas anymore after all.”

”...I see. You’re all right.” Nikita finally spoke again, then nodded to herself. ”I was being to selfish and arrogant again.”

”Hmmm?” Selene’s eyes almost popped from her skull as she glanced at her rival, admitting something like that. The delight was so strong that her lips curled into a grin before she realised. ”You mean that? You... Nikita, the one who never admits her wrongs!?”

”Hah!? Do you want a punch?”

The small werewolf stood up and adjusted herself, then looked at the other women. Instead of her violent and aggressive aura from earlier, the golden light calmed down and became like silk wrapping her body. ”Selene, Kumiko and Luna are right.”

She stepped onto the ruins behind her and pointed at the other five women with a smug grin.

”We don’t need to fight; instead, all of us should focus on making Darling happy. He’s been down recently, and I’ve hogged him too much. Sorry, I couldn’t control myself. The moment I gave birth, my emotions and body changed. It’s too difficult to explain, the way I suddenly crave his scent to envelop me non-stop.”

”Oh my, she admits it now?” Risa grumbled.

”Well, if Nikita can be like this I have no issues trying.” Selene joined the group.

”We’ve worked together superficially, but now... thanks to our clones we can discuss and settle our issues without lingering feelings or regrets.”

The women all stood in a circle, glancing from side to side despite the chaotic flames burning the building they helped demolish. And yet, all that was on their minds was the man still facing danger in the tower to the east.

”Let’s talk in depth about the things our lovely husband enjoys.” Amphitrite took Kumiko’s hand and joined the circle.

Lunaria, who joined the circle last, closed her eyes and looked at peace and muttered to herself as if achieving victory.

”I did it.”
