Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 529: A Family Reunited

The soft touch of her skin felt like smooth jade as his fingers stroked her buttocks with a gentle pattern. ”Leona?” He called her name and squeezed gently. A lewd pop echoed through the room as he lifted her off him, letting his member slip free from inside her.

”Nn.”

She made a lovely groan while leaning against him, without power and completely unconscious.

’I guess three times was a little rough. She was rather busy today.’

Nikolai lifted her in a bridal carry, one hand under her armpit, the other holding her hips, using his fingers to cover her slit. To stop it from leaking on the floor. ”Before I gained these muscles I could only dream of carrying a girl so easily.”

In the past, he tried to carry Nikita like the heroes do in novels and movies.

But failed in a few steps.

As if subconsciously, the werewolf wrapped her arms around his neck, and continued her slow, deep breaths. He glanced at her soft expression, half-entranced by her bushy eyebrows and long lashes.

”I love you, my cute maid.”

Without disturbing her sleep, he carried her to the side room of the office. He smiled at the thought of the two women already sleeping before stepping into the room. Nikolai folded a towel across the bedding before laying Leona softly.

”Let’s get you cleaned up.”

To avoid discomfort, he filled a metal bath with warm, steamy water and added bath salts and calming gels to it.

He grabbed the bath and several towels from the room and knelt beside the bed.

”What a pretty woman.”

Her skin was pure white, with a few freckles and a mole on the inside of her thigh. He’d observed and lusted over her body in the past, but this might’ve been the first time he carefully checked every inch.

She might not be a top-tier supermodel-style beauty. But to Nikolai. This homely and natural beauty was a ten, and he’d long watched her before she became his lover.

”If you weren’t with me in Londis, I don’t think I would have succeeded.”

Splish

The warm, soapy water dripped from the cloth as he squeezed it and gently caressed her abdomen, removing the remnants of his semen and her love juices.

He washed the fabric to remove the residue and washed the cloth in a second bucket filled with water and a cleaning agent.

Splosh

Time slowly passed as the sky outside the window became lighter, a slight orange shade, as the animals and workers of the Volkov estate started to move around.

When he finished, Nikolai gently dabbed her body dry using another towel before tucking Leona into a blanket.

”Get some rest. I’m giving you the day off, okay?”

He turned his back but curled his lips into a smirk as he felt her green eyes glance at his back. Leona woke up earlier when the cloth brushed against her crotch, and from then on, she peeked at him while pretending to sleep.

”Mm.”

Nikolai only left the room when the sheets shifted and the reflection of her curled up with a smile appeared in the window.

Clack!

After leaving her, he stepped into his cold, quiet office for a moment. He looked at the booklet of names and different heirs for the alliance and shook his head.

’Let’s head to see my father and tell him my plans...’ His steps echoed through the room as he stormed out of the room and headed down the corridor filled with busy maids preparing and cleaning.

’I should go see her and then my children.’

***

Nikolai couldn’t help but sigh. The number of things he needed to do, compared to the time in a day, left him with tough choices and a need to manage his time better. He aimed to prioritise growing stronger and his children, then his wives and the clan.

The scent of cedarwood and old cigars filled the air when he came to his father’s office.

”I didn’t realise dad smoked this much.”

Of course, he knew this was also his grandfather’s office in the past, and likely a long line of Volkovs who enjoyed the cigars only for the main clan. He himself enjoyed them, and Nikolai hated smoking.

’Well, thankfully, they aren’t dangerous to health.’

The werewolf’s biology actively devoured cancer cells and other viruses and diseases to fuel its celestial aura. To the werewolf, these kinds of things were like tonics or elixirs that boosted its strength a small amount.

A key reason the SSS aimed to capture werewolves and vampires.

To experiment and create cures for humans.

Knock Knock!

There was a moment of silence after Nikolai knocked on the huge mahogany doors, the intricate patterns of wolves embedded across them showing the history of the recorded Volkov family.

’I’m sure that each door resembles an important event...’

The mural on the door dated back to the early thirteenth century, when the Volkov clan fought to repel invaders from overseas.

”Come in.” A deep voice rang from inside.

”Phew.”

Nikolai took a deep breath and gathered himself. With a low creak, the hinges of the door squeaked as Nikolai pushed them both open and stepped inside.

The moment he did, bright sunlight shone from the windows, and the figure of his father sitting behind the desk became blurred.

And before he knew it, a soft... warmth enveloped him.

”My lovely boy.”

A gentle yet elegant voice spoke beside his ear. The woman was slightly shorter and hugged him, which brought a sense of nostalgia to his mind. ”Mom?” Nikolai called her name as he looked down and felt all the weight, nerves and fear vanish like a falling stone.

Silky black hair, charming red eyes with a beauty spot and pure white skin, she lacked any blemish or fault like the untouched morning snow.

’She looks even better than her pictures.’

”Although I watched you growing, it’s amazing how much you’ve grown, Nikolai.” Elizabeth’s eyes shimmered with a faint glow. ”You’ve worked so hard.” She reached behind his head, stroking his hair, her fingers spreading apart while humming a nostalgic tune. ”Thank you, for bringing me back to life and taking care of your dad for so long.”

”M-Mother...”

His words became stuck in his throat. The plan to just face this and speak seriously with his father crumbled as his hands clutched the back of his mother’s dress and squeezed her body tightly against his.

He could feel her warmth, the beating of her two hearts and the scent of her body, a smell that made him feel secure and safe. ”Any son would do the same for their parents.”

Nervous and embarrassed, he buried his face in the crook of her neck. He almost seemed like a naïve and cute child again, despite spending the night having sex with his maid.

Ivan’s sharp eyes softened instantly upon this sight as he pretended to read and sort documents, while wiping his cheeks. To Ivan, the feelings of family were just as strong as Nikolai’s, and even now, his son was his pride.

”My little baby, you’re all grown up and yet still so adorable.” Elizabeth’s strength matched Nikolai’s as she hugged him back; the feeling of her son’s body and the beat of his heart brought unspeakable joy to her as a mother. ”Did you miss me?”

In a spirit form, these small, tiny things were out of her reach.

”To think I once planned to fade naturally, now look at us. A family again... with so many cute children to look forward to.”

Although he wanted to speak to his father about a small elite group of warriors from the clans to serve him instead of a huge council, he planned to split the combat and logistical parts of the clan. To give chances to those who weren’t part of the main clans, and switch to a skill-based system.

And yet, hugging his mother brought a comfort that nothing else could.

”Well, come now. Let’s have breakfast together.” Ivan’s voice shook slightly, which brought a cheeky grin to both Nikolai and Elizabeth, who turned to look back at him.

”Sure, darling.”

”Okay, Dad.”

Not long after, they called the maids to bring a full-course breakfast. Since Nikolai’s wives needed to eat human food for their children, most of the mansion grew accustomed to eating normal meals, which made their training to integrate with humans much better.

”So there’s no problems with your body, Mom?”

”Nope~ I’m strong, can use my blood arts and I even beat your dad for a change!”

”Ahem!” Ivan cleared his throat before chewing on his crispy bacon. ”I just let down my guard, don’t believe her Nikolai.”

The conversation continued through the meal before Nikolai sought his father’s feedback on his idea. ”Dad?”

”Hmmm?”

While drinking the coffee after breakfast. A coffee roast with virgin’s blood, while giving the human a large wage, it was the most environmentally safe coffee brand on the market for monsters.

His father’s eyes narrowed at the sudden serious tone of his son, but he wasn’t angry. Ivan just observed his son waiting for his question.

”If I were to change how the clan works, would you support me?”

There was a moment of silence as the two stared into each other’s eyes.

Ivan swallowed his coffee and let out a long sigh. He turned his gaze back to his son and, with a sincere and serious expression, responded.

”Nikolai, you are my son.” He then closed his eyes and flashed a rare smile before continuing. ”Whatever you choose, however you do it. I will always support you.”

”Even if I make a mistake?”

”If you make a mistake, I will sweep up the mess and help you stand up again.”

While the two men stared at each other, Elizabeth watched them with her chin resting in her palms, a wide, delighted grin spread across her face.

”Hehe, my big men are so cute.”
