Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 526: The Meaning of a Kitsune’s Tail

Nikolai tapped the desk, his eyes flicking between the beautiful blonde maid with a miniskirt and deep cleavage and Emiko with a neat uniform and glossy lips, using subtle movement to seduce him. ”Girls.” His voice echoed as the two shuddered and straightened up.

”Y-Yesh!?”

”Master?

”Well...” At first, he didn’t want to bring it up. He was going to scold them for seducing him while he was figuring out the future and how HE would run the Moonlight Alliance. There were several ideas, but the two maids kept distracting him.

The two huddled together with eyes opened wide, a little fearful of him.

”I think... that you both.” He drew out his words, enjoying how they subtly shifted and hung on each word he spoke. ’I love these girls, just like Kumiko...’ That’s when he forgot the council and his future and curled his lips into a grin.

”I want to give you both, unique names.”

”...”

”....?”

They looked at him with glassy eyes, as if not understanding his words at first, but then the blonde gasped and pointed at him. ”R-Really!? But, what about...”

He knew she was careful and that the clones who gained their own sense of self adored Kumiko, so none of them tried to betray her. ’It’s a mystery how they even became like this... is it truly because of my blood and that I slept with them?’

Nikolai examined the girls; he knew there were a few other clones that were pregnant, but it seemed only three of them had gained full freedom. ’Is it Kumiko’s choice, mine... because these three were the ones I found most alluring. Or... is it all of those things?’

”Do you mean it?” The dark-haired clone asked, while leaning forward and rubbing the desk with her fingertips. ’That habit...’ Nikolai noticed that no other clones but her did this; she would rub things when nervous or excited.

As for the other...

’She’s chewing her lips too much...’ The blonde chewed her lips and picked at her nails instead.

”I do. If Kumiko is upset about it I will take the punishment.” He smiled with a faint curve of his lips. ”But I know that she wouldn’t do that. She treats you girls like blood sisters.”

”T-Then does that mean we’ll also be your wives?”

Nikolai’s mouth dropped when the blonde asked him such a cheeky question, but only for a moment as his lips lifted into a deep grin, like a wolf hunting rabbits.

”I’ve always seen you as my wives, you and Kumi.”

The thing he loved most about the blonde, who had tattoos and was sarcastic at first, was that despite her hard and strong girl persona. She was the softest, like the metal gold... she appeared immaculate, strong and powerful.

But inside, she was more akin to a caramel chocolate.

”Reina.”

Nikolai’s eyes narrowed.

The moment he said the name, his lips curled into a faint grin.

”Me?”

The blonde clone’s aura changed. A strange fluctuation of celestial aura and another essence, likely the aura of a kitsune, which was pink, fluttered around her. Nikolai, who saw this, poured the obsidian tide into his eyes.

Inside Reina’s body, something was changing... ’Eh?’ A core was forming, a second heart much similar to Nikolai’s three hearts. His aura flowed into her body the moment he called her by this name and poured into her bones, muscles, organs, and womb.

”W-What’s happening? It tingles all through my body...!” Her cheeks became bright red, heat hissing off her skin in smoke as her muscles visibly cramped and spasmed.

He rushed towards her and leaned his neck to the side, exposing his neck. ”Bite me, and drink my blood.”

’I didn’t expect this from just a name!’

A familiar reaction was taking place in her womb and body... the same as Nikita. Before he gave Reina her name, her child was a pure kitsune, and so was she.

However, the moment he named her, all the aura and essence of himself inside her suddenly pooled together and formed in her heart and womb... empowering both Reina and the child inside.

’Once again, I’ve realised that my blood is strange.’

Reina’s eyes became glassy, but when he hugged her tight, she opened her lips and bit his neck with a fierce chomp.

”Ugh, she bites so hard.”

His eyes closed further, forming slits as he focused his Obsidian gaze. The pink and black auras fused, creating a deep pink glow with small speckles sparkling within, but he could tell...

This bloodline wasn’t normal anymore.

Kumiko’s blood appeared gold when she bled, but the clones didn’t. Now, Reina’s blood was a deep pink and flickered with golden specks. The longer she swallowed his blood, the more gold flowed into the pink.

”Haa.... so delicious.... Nnnnph...!”

Reina violently bit into his neck, his blood infinitely near to black now as it poured down her chin, her muscles, veins, fetus, organs, everything started to evolve further. The scene reminded Nikolai of his mother’s revival, but only involving the physical aspect...

”Nn...”

The maid soon gasped, pulling back with panting breaths, blood coating her lips and chest, but her eyes shone with a dark pink aura. ”My connection to the mistress... it’s gone.” Reina looked panicked at first, but then her face scrunched in a grimace. ”No, it’s just changed... now I can speak to her... and it’s become two way?!”

”What do you mean?” Nikolai asked, a little confused.

”Here!”

A sudden flash of pink mist enveloped Reina, and with a poof of aura.

”Wah!!” Kumiko shouted with her hands as claws, as if to scare him.

The beautiful golden hair, eyes and pristine pale skin... and her signature pure red lips. It was the real Kumiko, but that’s when Nikolai noticed something.

”You’re tails...”

”Oh, did you notice that? Fufu. I guess there is a price for this god defying technique.”

”What do you mean?” He asked her, as she flicked her tails, which were only nine now, after losing her tenth.

’No the biggest issue is something else.’

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then looked at his beautiful, elegant wife. ”When did you become a Great Elder? Kumiko?” Nikolai could sense it from the huge aura that flowed around her body and the tingle he felt when she spoke.

”Fufu~ thanks to you, a moment ago I felt a surge of power... at first I thought I might lose our child, but the pain and dull ache I felt for the past month suddenly vanished.”

”You were in pain?” He hugged her shoulders, kissing her silky hair. ”Why didn’t you tell me, I would have helped you sooner.”

”My loving husband, there is a method and path for us all. If I forced you onto another path, what if you lose something in doing so?”

He didn’t care, but still, when reflecting on her words... he might never have left for Londis if so, and the amount of things he gained there made her words make sense. ”Still...”

”Shhh, what about that girl, you’ve already free’d Reina... what about her?” With that, Kumiko kissed his cheek as golden mist started to flow from her pores. ”I’ll go back, I was having fun with Risa, fufu.” That’s when she looked up at his face and curled her lips into a gentle smile. ”Thank you, Nikolai. For loving me so deeply, even the parts I used to hate.”

With a low pop, Reina reappeared in Nikolai’s arms, her cute face bright red as she remained frozen.

”I see, are you that happy, Reina?”

”S-Shush!”

It took a while to calm the shy and emotional mother; once she did, Reina soon fell asleep on the spare bed in the second room.

”Now then...”

”Master?”

”Miyu, I never forgot you once. It was thanks to you that I’ve learned many things; you taught me and gently guided me with that dedicated affection and lovely voice of yours.”

”Miyu, am I Miyu?”

”Ah, the name means Gentle beauty... to me, that resembles you perfectly.”

He didn’t worry this time when she began to sweat, and her cheeks turned bright red. Instead, he gently poured his aura into her body and let her drink his blood. ”That’s it, bite a little harder and ensure you are well fed.”

’I now understand... not only did Kumiko give away her tails to these girls. The children in her stomach, she had four when I confirmed her conception. But now there was only one with a pure golden bloodline.’

Nikolai presumed that Kumiko’s desire to make her clones real, after treating them like sisters and using her tail, which was a source of great power, and Nikolai’s blood to make this miracle, and somehow she gave the three clones one of her children.

’Well I did sleep with them. Did it happen then?’

”Nikolai, can I call you that?” Miya’s soft voice sounded as she licked the blood from her glossy lips. Her head leaned on his arm as she started to hum gently. ”I am so happy right now, this is like a dream come true.”

”You can call me whatever you wish, Miyu, you and Reina are both my wives and carry my children... it’s strange, but you even carry the mark of a Luna.”

Yes, that was what confused Nikolai most.

’Did she give them part of her soul? Is a Kitsune’s tail... her soul?’

Nikolai looked down, and Miyu had already fallen into a deep sleep, so he lifted her and carried her to the same bed where Reina slept and tucked the pair in, while heating the room to a pleasant heat.

He stood in the silent chamber, trying to still his racing heart.

”Well then. I need to read about Kitsune... and choose my elite force.”

With emotions running high, he decided the best thing to do was to look over the families and determine how he wanted to rule the clan.
