Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 519: Mermaid Biology and Meeting Mother-in-Law

The Volkov estate remained busy into the dark hours of the morning. It wasn’t just Dimitri and Ivan who spent the time enjoying their reunion and the college atmosphere. But on the opposite side of the mansion. Nikolai’s wives gathered in the large bedroom used by the harem for multiple plays.

“Nikita is so damn lucky! She gave birth first… I’ve never seen Nikolai look that way before… It made my womb clench!” Risa’s aggressive voice bounced off the walls as she complained to the other women.

“Too much info, sister, but I can’t deny it wasn’t sexy.” Amphitrite covered her cheeks, which turned pale red upon closing her eyes and taking a breath.

It seemed the affectionate Nikolai from earlier in the night shocked them, although he’d displayed his love to them. The sheer emotion from seeing his first children was clear to everyone in the mansion.

“Who will be next?” Kumiko sat quietly with a blonde clone of herself beside her, both of them currently pregnant with swollen abdomens, but not to the level of Selene and Risa.

“I think it’ll be our vampire princess.” Leona, who wore a comfortable outfit, served the woman’s fresh juice and light snacks before sitting beside Amphitrite.

“Which one?” Risa huffed as she directed towards the three vampires using her nose.

Lunaria, Selene and Anya.

The three daughters of the Tepes royal line, all loved by the same man, with two of them pregnant with Nikolai’s potent seed.

However, as the tempers and heat began to rise, Lunaria stood up and charged to the front of the room, turning off the tabloid news on the television. “Ahem! Ladies can we please calm down and be civil?!”

“Shut up, didn’t you already drop your claim?”

“Well… I am the only one not being controlled by my hormones right now, Risa.”

“Hmph, I bet you’re being controlled by that loose snatch of yours.” Anya grumbled. She had never met Lunaria, unlike Selene, and thus, learning about the past, she struggled to accept it like the others.

“Oh come on, little sis. I am the one who arranged for you to meet him in Londis…”

“Huh? R-Really?” Anya turned to the other women, who smiled gently, before Selene, with an expressionless face, nodded. “I see… sorry sister.” This was a big part of why Nikolai loved her, and the others didn’t get too angry at her.

Because Anya always apologised if she was wrong.

That’s when the most airheaded of the girls spoke with a lovely tone. “When can I see brother Nikolai?” Nobody could claim Clara wasn’t a fairy. Her delicate skin, ethereal atmosphere and her melodic voice.

“Ugh…” Lunaria struggled with Clara due to them being opposites. “When he’s enjoyed a nice few days with his newly born daughters.”

“Hm… then if I give birth, will brother spend time with me?” Clara tilted her head.

‘This witch is doing it on purpose!’ Leona thought to herself, constantly watching the girls and using her abilities as a high-level maid to help calm the women. She noticed Kumiko did the same using her clones, which gave the two a strange sense of camaraderie.

Clap!

Suddenly, Amphitrite stood beside Lunaria at the front while showing a look of discomfort while stroking her stomach. “Everyone, there’s no need to grumble. We promised our darling one thing when we became his Luna or Brides.”

‘True…’

Although the original six Lunas carried a sense of superiority at first, when they learned Nikolai chose Anya, Leona and Clara as his vampire brides, they soon became worried.

“You’re right, forgive me. I was too anxious.” Risa gave a gentle bow to the others, especially Anya and Kumiko, who snapped back at her. “I just got so excited when seeing those cute little pups… and how happy our husband looked. Didn’t you all?”

“Honestly, you being so animated helped me swallow my jealousy, Risa.” Kumiko offered a boat, trying to push the atmosphere into a positive light.

“Me too, thank you.” Selene didn’t get angry or show impatience, but the moment she spoke, her lips curled into a warm smile. “If I didn’t have you girls, I might have been outside beating those intruders myself.”

“Fufu, that sound amusing… with that stomach. Darling would have a heart attack.” Amphitrite giggled as she took a seat. “I don’t plan to give birth to all my children at once…” She suddenly spoke, causing the others to tilt their heads.

“What do you mean?” Leona asked while filling the mermaid’s herbal tea for pain relief and nutrients as she tilted her head. Curious about the other races’ mating habits.

“Ah, mermaids… we have a different cycle compared to mammals and monsters.”

“Really?” Risa and Clara asked with the nekomata peeking back with a sharp glare before turning back to Amphitrite.

“Mhm, you see, we always have a number of unfertilised eggs awaiting fertilisation, because of being monsters from the ocean, our environment was too dangerous to rely on giving birth one at a time… so thanks to our special magic.” She looked at the other women with a faint blush, then rubbed her abdomen. “We can halt the growth of our eggs and use our bodies to nourish them until we are safe to give birth.”

Clara’s eyes shone at this information, while Kumiko nodded with her herbal pipe, something that wasn’t dangerous and only contained herbs from the Nexus that cleansed toxins in the air when burned or sucked.

“Are the babies alright if you do that?”

“How long can you keep them in stasis?!”

Lunaria and Selene seemed truly curious; they both asked the mermaid with keen glances, with the latter almost falling off her seat.

“Ah, well, we can keep them safe for ten years as long as we feed and eat well, and the babies are fine. It’s rumoured the ones left the longest will have the strongest mermaid blood when born, and thus normally we will give birth to a small amount, then try to keep the rest safe for a year.”

“Why don’t you keep them all safe for a year?” Leona asked, now handing snacks to the sullen Risa.

“Well… the longer we hold them, the more… ahem!” Amphitrite cleared her throat and looked quite cute as she hugged her shoulders. “We…”

“Out with it, haha. We won’t judge.” Risa encouraged her.

“We become extremely horny for the father who inseminated us! To the level we become mad with desire and lust… haven’t you heard the stories of sirens and mermaids!?”

Amphitrite’s pink scales turned bright red as she covered her face; the changes since she became pregnant amused the other women, who once thought she was emotionless and confident in everything.

‘To think Mermaids could control their emotions when around other women…’ Leona remembered drinking with someone with the tiniest amount of mermaid blood in the past, before she vanished. ‘A power to boost their chances to mate with their chosen male.’

“Pwhahahah!” Lunaria burst into laughter as she rubbed the shy mermaid’s back. “Don’t worry, that’s quite cute… It’s similar to our blood frenzy and the beast-type monsters going into heat or becoming violent like the cat over there.”

“True, sometimes I want to just tear off his clothes and mount him.”

“Eh!? Leona, too?”

‘Oh my… I spoke out loud.’

Most of the women showed a sly grin, hearing Leona’s thoughts, because she still acted as a peacemaker. They rarely got dirt on the ginger werewolf.

“Now that I think about it… Leona, when did you become able to manifest your ears, tail and werewolf bloodline for so long?” Selene asked with a curious frown.

They chose maids who lacked the bloodline to become lords or ladies of each clan and trained them from birth.

However, their blood was too thick to blend in fully with humans, because on nights of the full moon, they still experienced an immense heat and lustful frenzy depending on their age.

“Ah, I know!” Clara joined in with a smile.

‘When did she get so close!?’

Risa pulled back, the black fairy sitting beside her, as if she was always there a brilliant smile that made it difficult to complain or say anything.

“Do you?”

Lunaria entertained the fairy. She knew that Ryan, Alexei and Vernan were important friends of Nikolai, and once she learned about Marianne and Sasha, she prepared for another two vampire brides.

“It’s after she slept brother all night and day!”

“Pfffft!” Leona once again sprayed her cool tea with a stunned expression.

‘What!? How did this girl know?’

“How did you… We always checked that everyone was sleeping!?”

“Ehehe~ Clara can see Brother Nikolai’s actions when she sleeps, he sleeps with Sister Anya… Sister Leonie and… a scary Tiger sister.”

“…is this a fairy?” Risa gasped. “Isn’t she just a voyeur!?”

After Risa’s outburst, most of the women broke into some form of laughter or a smile, their anger long since passed, and the emotions of the room calmed to a warm red and pink as reflected in Kumiko’s eyes as she sighed a blue mist of smoke.

“Shall we order some good food?” Kumiko’s blonde, wild clone called out, her fangs and sharp grin contagious.

“Oh? It’s Emi! You’ve been quiet all night.”

The blonde maid, who became pregnant despite being a clone, gained a new name, which the other women all accepted. What amazed them was that Emiko could switch between ANY of the clones that slept with Nikolai.

“Well, if I’m loud, then that crazy mermaid will come find me for more tests…”

“Sasha is a bit crazy.”

“Speaking of Sasha, that reminds me… has anyone spoken to Mother-in-Law yet?” Selene asked calmly, remembering what Nikolai was doing tonight. The laughter instantly became quiet, and the girls stood with nervous and embarrassed faces.

“Eh?”

“What?”

Risa and Amphitrite seemed nervous at the thought.

“How about we all greet her together… and bring some wine, a meal and show her we’re all together for our husband?” Leona’s voice echoed in the silent room.

“Are you a genius!?” Risa jumped up, her tails flicking out with a smooth curl.
