Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

After returning to the residence, I had a shower. Then I changed to the comfort clothes before sitting on the sofa to read the online news.

I accessed the internet by using my I.D. When the online page appears. I found I could only access information related to the True Elements Society and the cities under its control.

There is some information about other Wizard Organisations here and there. But they were not complete. These online restrictions have been troublesome.

Why they are restricting information? Maybe they don’t want any information leaked out to hostile organisations. Then, I started to access stories posted by the Wizard Students.

Not long after,

I found news about me. I spotted a picture of me leaving the Floating Building. A quick gleam flashes in my eyes. Those hidden shadows were these people taking pictures of me silently.

Then I also saw the pictures of 2 Wizards from the Bloodline Beast Department when they were standing in front of my residence.

“If it were outside, I would have killed them. But here I can’t take any chances,” I muttered to myself.

Then I started to go through other news. I’m interested in knowing other Mage Departments in the True Elements Society.

Meanwhile,

The 2 Lackeys returned to their residence. They don’t have any courage left to meet Charon Perry. They came to know about the horrible truth. The newcomer was not weak, as the rumour says.

They both concluded that only a Strong Level-8 Wizard could stop him. After weighing the pros and cons, both decided not to appear outside for some time.

On the other hand, Charon Perry has already acted. He has sent old man Billy to check the situation. Soon, the old man Billy returned with disappointed news. The duo were nowhere to be seen.

After hearing Charon start swearing, he couldn’t believe those 2 dared to disobey his words. He decides to teach a lesson to them tomorrow. But he was more pissed off by the fact that a newcomer might be alerted.

If their Target, Vincent Carey, knows that someone is targeting him, then he might not come outside. So Charon only thinks of some other ways to eliminate the threat.

The Following Day,

After getting out of bed, I started doing the morning routine. After doing that, I started daily practice.

2 hours later,

Like previous times, I met with the same result. There was no progression. But I didn’t lose hope. Because I could feel the mana absorption by the core. So the core is working greatly.

Then I left the room and went to take a bath.

30 minutes later,

After changing into uniform clothes. I took a few more minutes to get ready. Then I walked out of my residence. Today, I’m planning to attend the classes.

The four courses would be sufficient for me right now. When I was walking on, I noticed other wizards going about their business.

They are going to their respective departments as well. From time to time, I found a few gazes on me. Most of their gazes were filled with curiosity and surprise.

Soon, I arrived at the Floating Building. This time I have come through the main path. There was no one there to stop me.

I started walking on the steps. After reaching the entrance door, then I used the ID to enter inside. Then I made my way towards the Freshers Class. Continue your adventure with empire

When I got here. I saw the door was open. Seeing that I walked inside the room. I found many gazes on me the next second.

There are 20 Freshmen in the class including me. Looks like others have come before me.

“Hmmm,” Something interesting caught my eye.

Earlier, their gazes filled with disdain and mockery. But this time, their gazes filled with surprise and shock. Mostly, it was shock can be seen in their eyes and expressions.

“He is alright!”

“How did he escape from them?”

“I heard he went to the main city yesterday.”

“The Bloodline Beast Department is staying silent today. None of their Wizards seem to cause any problem.”

“What changed?”

“I guess Elder Paul must have saved him”

“That’s right, Elder Paul.”

The other freshmen discussed in a low tone. I went to the last empth seat and sat down comfortably.

I closed my eyes and ignored their gazes and conversation.

Shortly afterwards,

A female wizard walked into the room. She is wearing a typical research scholar robe instead of the battle mage robe.

Everyone became silent after looking at her. She gives off a scholarly vibe.

She put the heavy book on the table and swept her gaze across everyone.

“Hi, everyone. My name is Suus Septer. I’m one of the Elders of the Special Mage Department. I teach the subject of Monster and Beast.”

Hearing that, everyone was surprised. I looked at the other students. I didn’t expect everyone to select this course study.

Suus Septer accepted the reaction of everyone. She then decides to start the lesson.

“I think I can start by asking basic questions. What is the difference between Monsters and Beasts.”

“Can anyone answer that question?” She asked.

One of the students raised his hand to answer.

“Okay, you can answer it,” Suus said.

The Male Student answered by saying, “Monsters have no intelligence while the Beasts have intelligence. They can think like humans.”

The other students nodded as well.

On the other hand, I squinted my eyebrows. I couldn’t help but remember the grave encounter I had with the Strange Monster in the Meteor Country.

It was so powerful. At that time, it had easily killed those high-level Wizards from the Meteor Country.

Suus Septer remained silent. Then she notices the expression of one particular student who seems to have some doubts.

“Student, do you have any doubts?” She asked while looking in his direction.

The other students followed her gaze. Then found who is she pointing towards.

“Vincent Carey,” the name escaped from their mouth.

A small commotion broke my thoughts and I looked at everyone. Then I found that the Teacher was looking at me.

“Student, is there any problem?” She asked.

I shook my head and replied, “I’m fine.”

“What do you think about Monster and Beast?” She asked again.

Hearing that, I frowned, but I decided to answer her again.

“I have encountered Wizards who can control beasts. Such as the purple snake monster. But I don’t know whether it belongs to the Monster or Beast Category,” I answered.

“Ha…Ha..Ha…”

A small laugh erupted in the room.

“As expected someone with no background. People from the barren region do not know. You can’t blame him”

“How can someone like him manage to enter the True Elements Society?”

“If the Bloodline Beast Department hears this, then they will become furious.”

The Wizard Students muttered in a low tone. Because of small number of students in the class. Everyone can hear these words.

On the other hand, I wanted to teach them a lesson. They have been crossing my limit since yesterday.

Suus Septer noticed something wrong.

She said, “Silent!”

Her voice was like thunder that reached everyone’s ears.

“What’s your name student?” She asked.

“Vincent Carey,” I replied.

“Well, I’ll answer it,” After saying that, she continued to say, “Beasts with no intelligence are monsters. Beasts with intelligence are capable of growing their strength on their own and can evolve further by improving their Bloodline”

“Similar to Wizards, the Beasts can grow to higher order strength. Some Pure Bloodline Beast in our world has powers rivaling the Magic Level-10 Supreme Wizard,” She added.

Gasp!

Hearing that, everyone sucked a cold breath of air.

I’m digesting her information as well. What she is saying is shocking. But I think any can be possible in the Ancient Redwood Country.

Suus noted everyone’s reaction. Then she thought of something before saying, “When it comes to Wizards, who can control Beast or Monster? There are different cases. Talented Wizards with taming magic can control Bloodline Beast.”

“While Wizards with low talent can only tame the monsters. They will reach certain magic level limit in their life. Because of their low talent, they can only become level-4 or level-5 Wizard.”

“If it happens, their monster will reach the same limit as well. Because it has no intelligence. It cannot grow. But in some rare cases, a low-talent wizard can surpass his limit by accepting a high-level Bloodline Beast. “

“But these rare cases are only possible in some ancient families and clans. They have some secret methods to achieve it,” She added.

Hearing that, everyone was shocked to the core. Especially the third case, it was not a secret. The powerful families have secret methods. As long as their descendants can awaken suitable magic power, they have methods to make their descendants grow.

Suus then looked at the student named “Vincent Carey” and said, “When it comes to the Purple Snake you are talking about. Your doubt is valid.”

Quiet!

Everyone became quiet. They didn’t expect the Teacher to clear his doubt.

She added further by saying, “The Purple Snake might be under the monster category right now. But in ancient times, there is record of the Purple Snake King. It’s a powerful bloodline beast.”

“Later, for some reason, the high-level Bloodline Beast becomes extinct. Those with low bloodlines eventually became monsters.”

A look of understanding dawned on me. So not all the monsters are useless. Some monster’s lineage can be traced back to ancient times.

The other students became red-faced as well. It’s not like they don’t know about this. It’s just they were focused on insulting him.
