Eternal Thief

Chapter 1367: Tying Up Loose Ends! (3)

Joining the Sky Sword King Tower was not Alinaʼs plan at all; it was more of an accident than her real intention.

First, the Sky Sword Jade Scroll wasnʼt the one that led her to the Sky Sword King Tower, but her Celestial Thief Sense activated it.

Second, Alina knew about the Sky Sword Realm mentioned in the jade scroll, so when her celestial thief sense suddenly attracted to the Sky Sword Jade Scroll, she thought she could probably enter there without needing the other ʼkeysʼ.

But she fell into the Sky Sword King Towerʼs hands, or more accurately, Phantom Sky Swordʼs!

Alina wanted to escape, but Star gravely warned her about the terrifying power of the Phantom Sky Sword, so she didnʼt show any resistance and played along.

Furthermore, since Phantom Sky Sword was so powerful and also had a fantastic physique of sword path, Alina also found it an opportunity to learn more about sword paths and increase the speed of her cultivation. Phantom Sky Sword didnʼt disappoint either.

Not only did Phantom Sky Sword sincerely teach Alina, but she also gave her enough freedom to do as she wished, and by taking advantage of Sky Sword King Towerʼs prestige and status, Alina managed to steadily increase her Thief House Rank.

Moreover, Alina had recently learned the entire truth about the Sky Sword Jade Scrolls from Phantom Sky Sword.

Phantom Sky Sword told her that because the Sword King, meaning the Ascension King of the Sky Sword King Tower, had taken an interest in Alina and demanded that she enter the Sword Grotto for cultivation!

If it were another person in the entire Mortal Ascension Heaven, they would have been shocked, dancing with joy, and jumping at the chance to be personally taught by an Ascension King. This elusive existence rarely showed itself to the world.

However, for Alina, it was more like misfortune because Alina was always wary of these powerhouses who showed kindness for no reason because of her past with the Blood Ancestor.

She didnʼt even completely trust the Phantom Sky Sword, who was usually clumsy with matters unrelated to the sword and curious like a child when it comes to the sword.

Thatʼs why Alina had long planned her escape route before the house meeting.

But it was easier said than done; after all, getting summoned by the Sword King wasnʼt a joke; even the usual overbearing Phantom Sky Sword didnʼt dare go against the Sword King.

Alina was supposed to leave for the Sword Kingʼs Sword Grotto in less than a month, and to make sure nothing untoward happened or there was no delay, Alina was forbidden from leaving the Sky Sword King Towerʼs vicinity.

She and Lillian were still in the process of brainstorming when the summoning happened, and Alina accepted it. Not only did she miss Ace, but she also wanted his advice since she couldnʼt think of another way to stop her meeting with the Sword King.

She knew that if the Sword King had motives like the Blood Ancestor, it might turn out the same. Furthermore, she was a celestial titian pretending to be a hunter, and if somehow the Sword King saw through her bloodline, it would be over for her.

Yet, unexpectedly, the Abyss Mission Series began, and now, she didnʼt need to worry about escaping from the Sky Sword King Tower at all.

But she wasnʼt expecting to encounter her master right after returning. Now she knew Phantom Sky Sword was probably monitoring her, or it might be a coincidence since Phantom Sky Sword comes and goes as she pleases.

”…Is this your physique awakening? Quickly tell your master!”

Now, seeing Phantom Sky Swordʼs child-like expression, Alina doesnʼt want to believe her master has ulterior motives, but she is not going to trust her completely because even her parents once deceived her. The only person she trusted blinding was Ace!

”Yes, I donʼt know, but suddenly I went into a strange space and dreamed for a long time. But then suddenly, the dream shattered, and I was back here.” Alina subtly made an excuse while taking advantage of Phantom Sky Swordʼs own words.

Phantom Sky Swordʼs eyes shimmered with a hint of surprise as she asked, ”What kind of dream was it? Did you awaken some new ability? Or did you break the realm of Sword Heart?”

Alina was overwhelmed by those questions, and she knew that the more she spoke, the more chances there were of Phantom Sky Sword seeing through her lies. After all, lying in front of a Half-King was nothing but suicidal, especially if the Half-King used its Law Sense!

Although Alina didnʼt detect anything, she was still far weaker than Phantom Sky Sword, so even if the latter used some trick, she would never know before it was too late.

”I-I donʼt know, itʼs all muddle. I think I need some time alone to digest this strange dream, and I might be able to grasp something; I just have this strange feeling.” She again ambiguously replied while showing a complicated expression.

Phantom Sky Swordʼs brows frown slightly before placing her finger on Alinaʼs wrist. Alina didnʼt resist as she knew Phantom Sky Sword was probably going to check her body.

Right now, Alina was a pure martial cultivator as Force ran through her body. However, for some reason, whoever saw her Force only thought of it as Qi. This was quite strange, but it was still very advantageous to Alina!

Right now, Alina was confident in killing a 1-Star Ascension Lord while confidently running away from a Quasi-Grand Lord. But she was still no match for a true Ascension Grand Lord.

Phantom Sky Sword let go of Alinaʼs wrist and spoke with a hint of uncertainty, ”Your Qi is still the same, and your body also seemed completely fine. Your Sword Heart hadnʼt progressed either. The only thing I canʼt tell is your fantastic physique. But itʼs strange. I have never heard or seen any records of a fantastic physique directly entering a dream with their real physique.

”Well, we couldnʼt detect your Fantastic Physique in our records, so itʼs possibly your physiqueʼs uniqueness. Since your physique is showing signs of awakening, we canʼt delay entering the Sword Grotto. Esteem Sword King should know more about your situation and can help you.

”Wait here. Iʼm going to report this to the Tower Master. Be prepared; we might have to leave in a few hours!” Phantom Sky Sword solemnly stated, and without waiting for Alinaʼs reply, she vanished again.

Alina was stunned for a moment before she recovered quickly and winced her brows ever so slightly.

ʼI was planning on leaving behind a message for her, but now, I think thereʼs no need. They wonʼt let me go even if I vanished for hundreds of years!ʼ

Alina coldly called, ”Lillian!”
