Chapter 2190: Chapter 2190: I Am A Law-Abiding Citizen

Yu Qi smiled as she read the news. The Bai Familyʼs scandal had been exposed to the public. She checked the share market price. She could see Bai Corporationʼs share go down as time passed.

”Serve you right.” Yu Qi smiled.

She knew that Bai Corporation would soon be bankrupt unless someone was willing to invest about one billion dollars in the company. However, she did not stop her attack there.

She immediately asked Han Baise to send some evidence about Bai Xia Fangʼs tax evasion to the police. She already prepared this evidence for a long time ago. She was waiting for the right time to use the evidence. Since Bai Xia Fang wanted to play with her, she would accompany him.

”What are you thinking while smirking with an evil person?” Long Hui pinched her nose.

”Ouch...” Yu Qi glared at Long Hui. She rubbed her nose. ”I am not an evil person. I am a law- abiding citizen. That is why I report the crime to the authorised. Tax evasion is a serious crime.”

Long Hui was stunned. Then, he laughed. ”You naughty. You dared to drop the bomb now.”

”You cannot blame me. This is a perfect chance to drop the bomb. He would catch off guard.” Yu Qi grinned.

The police were surprised to receive the email. Even though the email was from nowhere, they still needed to investigate the matter. So, they opened the investigation right now. They investigated using the evidence that had been provided. It was 100% true. The higher-ranking police officer gave the order that they needed to catch Bai Xia Fang right away.

At Bai Mansion, only Bai Xia Fang was there together with the servants. Bai Jian was in the hospital taking care of Bai Yu. As for Bai Shu Jin, he stayed at his own house. After the trial, Bai Jian confronted Bai Xia Fang directly.

She asked Bai Xia Fang about the truth. She wanted to know the truth from Bai Xia Fangʼs mouth. Bai Xia Fang was silent. Bai Jian knew Bai Xia Fangʼs characters. If he did not say anything, meaning it was the truth. Seeing Bai Xia Fang like this, she screamed at him. ”How dare you treat my son like this? You told me that you were going to be fair when you asked me to take the boy back. And this is what I get.” Bai Jian shouted.

”Can you shut up! We have a lot of things to handle at this time.” Bai Xia Fang said.

He had received calls from his secretary saying that some of the investors said that they wanted to pull out their funds. Bai Xia Fang just secured the funds not long time ago.

Because of the trial, the investors were questioning Bai Xia Fangʼs morals. He dared to treat his biological son like that. No one dared to cooperate with someone like that.

”You are asking me to shut up? Hahaha... You cold-blooded monster. Even animals did not harm his blood. I will not let this go.” Bai Jian said before taking her leave.

She also made the decision to take Bai Xia Fang to court for harming someone else. She would do anything for her son.

Bai Xia Fang did not care much about Bai Jian. He was worried about his company. For the first time, he kind of regretted taking action on that girlʼs business. He thought he could win against the young girl as he had done with his previous victims. This was not his first time doing something like this. He had done it many times. But whose thought that the young girl seemed to be much more clever than him. She seemed to be one step ahead of him.

He remembered the smile and the look that Yu Qi gave to him when she left the courtroom. It felt unsettled. He brushed it off. He left the study room and walked out to his wine cellar. He wanted to drink something. He grabbed a bottle of wine and walked out.

Then, Bai Xia Fang heard the scream. It was from his butler. He frowned. He was on the second floor. When he looked at the floor, he was surprised to see a group of police come into his house. His frown increased.

”What are you doing?” Bai Xia Fang asked.

The police heard the question and looked up.

”The target confirmed.” The police moved to approach Bai Xia Fang when they saw him on the second floor.

In a second, Bai Xia Fang had been surrounded by the police. The police wanted to handcuff Bai Xia Fang. But he struggled, avoiding the police.

”What is going on here?” Bai Xia Fang demanded to know the situation.

”Bai Xia Fang, you are being accused of tax evasion. Please cooperate with us.” The police said.

”No... You can not do this to me. You donʼt have any evidence.” Bai Xia Fang said.

”Since we dared to come here, of course, we have evidence.” The police said.

Bai Xia Fang frowned. ”Fine. I will go and I want to call my lawyer first.” ”Okay.” The police nodded.

Bai Xia Fang immediately called his lawyer. He explained the details to his lawyer and asked him to go and meet him at the police station. After making the call, Bai Xia Fang followed the policeʼs order and was taken to the police station.
