The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2589 Chaos and the Flow

”I will crush you, like the ant you are!”

The Nightmare Sacred Kingʼs roar thundered across the shattered landscape as he launched himself toward Cain. Each movement carried overwhelming force, turning his charge into a storm of rage and brutality, tearing through the battlefield.

Yet Cain did not move immediately.

He took a slow, steady breath.

”If I win, I will return to them. If I lose… they may follow Anarkʼs fate.”

A storm of emotions churned within him. Hatred burned for his fallen brother, grief gnawed at his heart, and fear whispered of failure and loss. At the same time, there was a desperate longing to return home, to protect those who still remained. It was overwhelming, a chaotic tide that threatened to consume him entirely.

But in that moment, Cain let it all go.

The Power of Chaos was not about suppression, nor was it about surrendering to emotion. It was about connection. Emotions were threads linking oneʼs existence to the universe itself, and to fight against them was to sever that connection. Yet to be ruled by them was equally fatal.

Instead, Cain allowed them to flow through him.

He acknowledged every emotion, accepted their presence, and then released them, letting them pass without taking control. The clarity that followed was profound, and from it emerged a radiant smile that stood in stark contrast to the devastation surrounding him.

Then he acted.

Cain opened his hand, and a sphere of blood materialized within his palm, glowing with terrifying power. Without hesitation, he pressed it against his chest, forcing the sphere directly into his body.

The moment it entered, his entire being convulsed.

The sphere was composed of an immense concentration of purified Ancestor Drops, refined energy condensed into raw fuel. The quantity was overwhelming, far beyond what his body should have been able to handle. His Perfect Ancestor Drop trembled violently, his heartbeat became erratic, and his body began to swell as if it were about to explode under the pressure.

For an instant, it seemed as though the Scarlet King had overreached.

Then a white radiance emerged through his body.

Time itself seemed to freeze around his body as the damage halted mid-process. The instability that threatened to tear him apart was locked in place. His form stabilized, returning to equilibrium, while beneath the surface, his blood burned with unimaginable intensity.

And that was only the beginning.

”Second Gear!”

Cainʼs roar echoed as red flames erupted from his body, fueled by the burning energy within his veins. His presence surged violently, distorting the air around him.

”Just die!”

The Nightmare Sacred King no longer cared about the source of Cainʼs power. He had grown numb to the constant escalation, and now only one thought remained in his mind—kill.

His spider leg lashed forward like lightning, each strike aimed to impale and tear apart.

Yet just as the first blow was about to land, Cain moved.

He shifted slightly to the side, his motion precise and minimal, and struck the incoming limb with the back of his hand, diverting it effortlessly. Though his eyes were ruined, his perception had deepened. His connection to the Flow had reached a level where he could sense everything around him with absolute clarity.

In the same heartbeat, Cain stepped forward.

He appeared before the tumorous mass that was Nightmare Sacred Kingʼs body and struck with all his strength, forcing the monstrous body backward.

A chorus of enraged screams erupted from the countless mouths covering the creature as another limb lashed toward Cainʼs ribs. Just before it could connect, Cain rotated his body, slipping past the strike and using the limb itself as leverage. He launched himself forward, driving his knee directly into the creatureʼs central mass before following with a brutal kick that sent it crashing sideways.

The Nightmare Sacred King roared, his fury intensifying as his damaged life force ignited with renewed violence. His limbs twisted again, splitting into four separate appendages that lashed out with even greater speed and ferocity.

Cain retreated, his movements fluid and controlled as he dodged each strike with uncanny precision. The ground around him shattered under the relentless assault, yet he moved like the wind itself, always just beyond reach, always one step ahead.

Frustration and hatred swelled within the Nightmare Sacred King.

He could not understand it.

A being of his level had already analyzed the nature of the Flow after witnessing it once. He had taken measures to conceal his frequency from the Endless River, ensuring that his movements could not be predicted. And yet Cain continued to evade every attack as though he could see them before they even happened.

It defied logic.

Worse still, the longer the battle continued, the more it felt as though Cain was growing stronger.

And in a way, he was.

It was not just his mastery of the Flow that had deepened.

It was Chaos.

Cainʼs newfound clarity allowed him to connect with his opponent on a deeper level. Through the Power of Chaos, he could feel the Nightmare Sacred Kingʼs emotions—his rage, his hatred, his killing intent—as vividly as his own. Those emotions became a bridge, linking them through the Flow and allowing Cain to perceive not just movements, but intent itself.

He did not merely react.

He anticipated.

Every strike, every shift in motion, every burst of power—Cain could sense them the moment they formed in the Sacred Kingʼs mind.

The spider-like limbs moved faster and faster, their attacks becoming increasingly complex, yet Cain saw through all of it. He saw the patterns, the combinations, and most importantly, the path through them.

Scarlet and golden light flickered from the edges of his ruined eyes as he surged forward.

His body twisted like a storm, slipping through the barrage as he neutralized each limb with precise movements. In the next instant, he delivered a devastating kick to the core of the monstrous body, followed immediately by a relentless barrage of strikes.

Each blow carried the crushing force of a dwarf star.

The Nightmare Sacred Kingʼs body trembled under the assault, his form driven backward until Cainʼs final double punch launched him into the air.

It was in that moment that the Wings of Chaos manifested once more.

They flared behind Cain, radiating power like supernovas on the verge of detonation as they channeled the energy of the Universe Matrix.

This was the end.

With a single step, Cain vanished and reappeared above his enemy.

His right hand shone with blinding radiance, brighter than any blade, parting the storm clouds and allowing light to flood the Ninth Realm once more. The air itself seemed to hold its breath as he raised his arm for the final strike.

But just as he was about to bring it down—

The Nightmare Sacred Kingʼs eyes ignited.

A red light blazed within them as the pentagram reappeared behind his broken form. His limbs twisted violently, transforming once more into massive wings lined with grotesque maws that screamed in unison.

From those maws, a spiritual attack erupted.

It struck Cain instantly.

His body froze mid-motion.

The power did not target his flesh, but his very soul, locking him in place and halting his decisive blow at the final moment.
