The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2557: The return (I)

Two fists bathed in golden light, each one carrying the power of the universe itself, collided against six fists wrapped in black lightning. That lightning was no ordinary force; it pulsed with a terrifying energy that seemed capable of piercing through the very laws of reality, unstoppable in its pursuit of destruction.

Kardul towered over Noah, nearly twice his height, his monstrous frame granting him overwhelming reach and strength. With six arms moving in perfect coordination, he unleashed a relentless barrage of blows, each strike faster and heavier than the last. The sheer volume of attacks would have overwhelmed almost any opponent.

Yet Noah stood firm.

The NeoPrimarch responded to every strike.

His palms and fists moved at astonishing speed, intercepting each incoming blow with flawless precision. His movements displayed overwhelming martial mastery, refined to a level that bordered on perfection. Despite the intensity of the clash, a radiant smile remained on his face as he experienced firsthand the extraordinary capabilities of his body.

Each impact echoed like thunder.

Shockwaves of golden and black energy exploded outward, carving deep scars into the Wall of Fire and Flesh beneath them. The living surface writhed under the strain, while space itself trembled from the sheer force of their exchange.

Neither combatant gave ground.

Neither retreated.

They pushed forward relentlessly, testing the limits of their strength as if determined to break the other through sheer force of will.

But Noah’s focus could not remain on Kardul alone.

Jason, Elizabeth, and Erodan had already recovered.

The three surged back into the battlefield with terrifying speed, their movements perfectly synchronized. Their attacks came from every direction—Jason’s crushing fists, Elizabeth’s annihilating trident, and Erodan’s explosive kicks—forming a flawless net of destruction that sealed off every possible escape.

For a brief moment, it seemed inevitable that Noah would be struck.

Then his eyes flared.

A burst of radiant golden light erupted from his gaze, blinding everyone for an instant.

When their vision returned, Noah was gone.

Shock flashed across the faces of Erodan and Kardul, while Jason and Elizabeth showed only frustration. The latter two had already witnessed this ability before. They understood its nature to a certain degree, yet they still had no way to counter it.

Recognizing the danger, they halted their attacks and attempted to adjust their formation.

But they were too late.

Noah reappeared behind Jason.

His leg snapped forward in a ferocious kick that landed squarely against the man’s ribs. The impact was devastating. The sound of bones cracking echoed through the battlefield as Jason was launched away, crashing violently into the Wall of Fire and Flesh in the distance.

Without hesitation, Noah followed up.

He opened both palms and twisted his body with explosive speed. Golden energy gathered instantly, condensing into a revolving sphere of platinum light that expanded outward with overwhelming force.

The sphere collided with Elizabeth, Erodan, and Kardul simultaneously, sending all three crashing away as the energy burst tore through the surrounding space.

Noah stood at the center of the devastation, his smile widening.

He could feel it.

The perfect fusion of the Flow with the raw strength of the universe itself.

”This is the power I need to defeat him,” he thought.

His eyes grew colder, filled with unshakable determination as his ultimate goal surfaced in his mind. Yet he did not allow himself to linger on that thought. The battle was far from over, and his enemies were already recovering.

Taking a deep breath, Noah sharpened his senses to their limit.

He was powerful, but he understood the danger.

A single mistake could result in severe injury. And if he were removed from the battlefield, nothing would stand between the Curse Eaters and the forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe.

That outcome was unacceptable.

The battle intensified.

Across the void and above the Wall of Fire and Flesh, explosions multiplied, their shockwaves spreading across countless kilometers. Even distant Empyrean Worlds trembled under the strain.

The Universe Matrix of the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe was far weaker than that of the Crimson World, and utterly inferior to Paradise. Because of that, clashes between Alpha Omega Overgods sent ripples across the entire cosmos.

This was why the alliance fought with such determination.

They could not allow the battlefield to approach their homes.

And yet, even the combined shockwaves of all those battles could not compare to what came next.

A deep, overwhelming rumble spread across existence.

It was not merely sound.

It was something far greater.

The tremor was so intense that every battle came to an abrupt halt. Even Noah and the Curse Eaters stopped, their attention drawn away from the fight as they looked around, trying to understand what was happening.

Those with powerful souls quickly realized the truth.

The disturbance did not originate from space.

It came from the Universe Matrix itself.

A transcendent event was unfolding—one so immense that even though the Matrix had been suppressed by the power of the Root, it still reacted.

The radiance intensified.

It grew brighter and stronger until the structure of reality itself became visible.

A massive, spiderweb-like pattern stretched across existence, revealing the hidden framework of the universe.

Confusion spread among the higher echelons of every faction.

The Curse Eaters.

The armies of the Root.

The Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance.

All their greatest powerhouses were present on the battlefield. There was no one missing who could explain such a phenomenon.

So who—or what—was powerful enough to trigger a reaction of this magnitude?

Only one person seemed to understand.

Noah.

A meaningful light flickered in his eyes, though his true thoughts remained impossible to decipher.

The tremors lasted only a few seconds.

But when they ended, the battlefield did not resume.

Silence lingered.

No one moved.

Instinct told them all the same thing.

Whatever had just occurred could change everything.

Neither side was willing to continue fighting without understanding the situation first. Moreover, the battle had already raged for hours, and it had become clear that no decisive victory would be achieved that day.

Slowly, cautiously, both sides began to withdraw.

The forces of the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance retreated in formation, their eyes filled with killing intent and vigilance. The armies of the Root did the same, equally wary.

The Curse Eaters possessed greater freedom of action, but even they hesitated.

Coming from a realm far superior to the Nine Empyrean Suns Universe, they had a clearer sense of what kind of power was required to provoke such a reaction from a Universe Matrix.

And that realization filled them with unease.

Faint traces of dread appeared in their expressions.

Just as they were about to decide whether to continue the battle, Noah made the decision for them.

He took a single step forward.

And vanished.

With that, the confrontation ended.
