The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2427: The Royal Guard vs two Kings

Cain saw the two kings preparing to dive toward him, their killing intent blazing as they abandoned all restraint in their desperation to destroy the soul controlling the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

Yet within Cain’s heart, there was no fear or panic, only coldness.

The Power of Chaos erupted.

In that instant, every Royal Blutlinie who had previously channeled the power of the Ocean of the Blood Sun into their bodies felt their souls tremble with primal horror. By allowing Cain’s power to permeate them—by accepting his vitality and energy—they had unknowingly granted him direct access to their spirits.

Their defenses were meaningless.

Cain did not need to assault their bodies.

He reached directly into their souls.

The full might of the Soul Sundering Technique was driven straight into their spirits, bypassing all barriers, bloodlines, and protections.

”ARGHHHHHH—!”

Mirena, Kriz, and the remaining Royal Blutlinie from the Aztorus Kingdom screamed in unison as their souls were split apart. The agony was so absolute that consciousness shattered instantly.

The next second, they fell.

Their bodies plunged into the Ocean of the Blood Sun, and the moment they touched its surface, their souls were consumed by the golden spiderweb. The Soul Sundering Technique surged in power, its strength rising exponentially.

”RUMBLE—!”

Space itself trembled.

The sky cracked as an immense burst of soul power erupted upward, striking the remaining Royal Blutlinie of the Kalous Kingdom—and the two kings themselves.

Eonar and Lortar were hurled violently into the sky. Blood streamed from their eyes, ears, and mouths as their vision blurred, their souls screaming beneath the crushing pressure.

The Royal Blutlinie of the Kalous Kingdom fared even worse.

Though they had not accepted the Power of Chaos directly, they were already grievously wounded. One by one, they lost consciousness and fell into the Ocean of the Blood Sun, their descent further strengthening the Soul Sundering Technique.

Each soul consumed made the web tighter.

Denser.

Deadlier.

Watching their people fall ignited a rage so profound that it overwhelmed even the agony tearing at their spirits. Both kings clenched their fists until blood seeped from their palms, their teeth grinding as they forced themselves forward once more.

They dove downward together, determination burning brighter than despair.

They would destroy the soul controlling the blood ocean—no matter the cost.

Unfortunately for them, three figures appeared in their path.

A human.

A dinosaur warrior.

A fiendish dragon.

The Royal Guards stood shoulder to shoulder, their expressions solemn as they faced the two kings.

The king’s bodies were battered, their vitality draining rapidly, and the Soul Sundering Technique still gnawed at their souls. Yet, they were still super powerhouses capable of killing the trio.

However, there was no fear in the Royal Guard’s eyes.

No hesitation.

They surged forward.

Morningstar shot toward Eonar, a massive bastard sword clenched in his hands.

”Hmph! Get out of my way, you garbage!” the Aztorus King roared, swinging the Blade of the End of Times with everything he had left.

The weapons collided.

The moment they met, Morningstar felt as though countless eons washed over his body. Time itself pressed down upon him, draining his stamina, sapping his vitality, and dragging him toward collapse.

His body was driven downward.

Yet he rose again instantly.

With a roar, Morningstar forced himself back into the sky, refusing to allow Eonar even a single step toward the blood ocean.

Hades and Satan fared no better.

Each sweep of Lortar’s halberd unleashed waves of incandescent heat that scorched flesh, melted armor, and seared bone. Their bodies burned, pain ripping through them with every movement.

Still, they clenched their teeth and pressed on.

Every strike they landed forced the Kalous King to fight for every inch of progress.

Finally, the last Royal Blutlinie of the Kalous Kingdom fell into the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

Both kingdoms had committed everything to this battlefield.

Their armies.

Their elites.

Their strongest bloodlines.

They had believed this would be their final stand.

Now, all were gone.

Their souls fed the Soul Sundering Technique.

Their bodies were refined into vitality for Cain’s new form.

And most importantly—their Ancestor Drops were purified, cleansed of all flaws and weaknesses, then delivered into the cocoon at the bottom of the ocean.

Cain had achieved something truly cataclysmic.

The combined might of the Aztorus Kingdom and the Kalous Kingdom rivaled that of the Crimson World’s Freedom Path, led by the Ancient One himself.

And Cain had annihilated them alone.

Yet this was no time for complacency.

Eonar and Lortar were still charging toward his body.

If either king struck the cocoon with everything they had, they could damage his Primordial Essence—or worse, wound his newly forming body.

Cain’s focus narrowed.

All of his power was divided between two critical tasks.

The first was completing the refinement of the Royal Blutlinie’s Ancestor Drops, merging them into his own and amplifying it beyond its previous limits. This was straightforward—but time-consuming.

The second was fusing his Primordial Essence into his new body.

That process was fast.

And unimaginably delicate.

A single mistake could cripple him permanently.

He had to be precise.

Above the ocean, the battle grew increasingly dangerous for the Royal Guards.

The power of the Soul Sundering Technique began to fade, allowing the two kings to unleash more and more of their true strength.

Morningstar bore a deep gash across his chest. Temporal energy leaked from the wound, refusing to close, draining his vitality with every heartbeat.

Still, he clenched his teeth and continued parrying the Blade of the End of Times.

Hades and Satan were in even worse condition.

Burns covered their bodies, smoke rising from cracked armor and scorched flesh. The fight reached a critical point when Lortar kicked Hades away with overwhelming force, then followed with a brutal swing that severed Satan’s left arm and tore through his wings.

Blood sprayed through the sky.

Cold brutality flashed across Lortar’s face.

He had finally opened a path.

With a roar, the Kalous King dove downward with all his remaining strength. The heat surrounding his halberd intensified to apocalyptic levels, space warping around the weapon as he prepared to drive it into the Ocean of the Blood Sun—

—and vaporize it completely.
