The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 2418: Soul Manipulation

The battlefield above the Ocean of the Blood Sun erupted once more into explosive chaos—but this time, it was no longer the forces of the Kalous Kingdom who held the advantage.

Hades and Satan pressed their assault with relentless ferocity. Their attacks landed again and again on Gilgark, each clash reopening old wounds, tearing deeper into damaged muscle and bone.

Blood sprayed freely as the injuries compounded, the massive body of the Royal Blutlinie beginning to show signs of strain.

Of course, Gilgark’s counterattacks were nothing short of horrifying. Every blow shattered bones, ruptured internal organs, and sent shockwaves through Satan’s and Hades’ bodies.

Yet as long as they remained within the Ocean of the Blood Sun, the two Royal Guards could endure damage without restraint. Even if their bodies failed entirely, the ocean’s vitality would keep them alive—barely functional, but alive.

And that was enough.

Not far from that brutal exchange, Mirena wore a radiant smile as she drove a powerful strike into Orfin’s chest, the sound of bones cracking echoing across the sky.

The Royal Blutlinie of the Dark Blood Kingdom clenched her teeth, forcing herself to regain control as she was blasted backward.

At the same time, confusion gnawed at her mind.

”How...?”

Her Ancestor Power was extraordinary. No matter how refined one’s perception or soul might be, it should have been impossible to distinguish her true body from her manifestations.

And yet—Mirena struck her true form every time.

What Orfin could not perceive was the subtle difference in the Flow.

Now that Cain no longer needed to devote every fragment of his attention to nurturing the final Royal Guard’s cocoon, he could spare a portion of his focus. Through the power of The Flow, he detected the minute fluctuations that marked Orfin’s true presence—and transmitted that information directly into Mirena’s mind.

It gave her a decisive edge.

Meanwhile, the most intense and catastrophic clash remained the battle between Morningstar and Sky Terror.

Even Cain could no longer discern the Crown Prince’s exact location within the vast demonic-draconic body. The creature was simply too massive, too saturated with soul and energy.

But that limitation meant nothing to Morningstar.

If he could not locate the Crown Prince within the beast—

He would simply destroy every inch of it.

Morningstar forged a staff in his hands just in time to intercept a colossal claw descending toward him. The claw was larger than a city; the staff only a few meters long.

Yet when they collided, neither yielded.

Sky Terror’s eyes burned with cold, alien killing intent—an intent that did not truly belong to the beast itself, but to another soul buried deep within.

Without pause, the Omen Beast’s second arm moved.

In a blink, both massive palms clapped together.

The impact pulverized everything between them.

When the hands opened—

They grasped nothing.

”What are you looking for?” Morningstar’s voice echoed from above.

He descended like a falling star, smashing his staff into Sky Terror’s skull. The sound of cracking bone thundered across the battlefield as the Omen Beast was driven straight out of the sky.

It plunged into the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

Towering waves exploded outward as the massive body struck the surface. In an instant, Cain seized the opportunity, using every ounce of his power to command the ocean itself.

Countless blood tides surged upward, dragging Sky Terror toward the deepest abysms—toward a place where even a Late Alpha–Omega Overgod could be dissolved.

”ARGHHHHHHH!”

A demonic roar tore through the heavens.

Sky Terror unleashed a massive explosion of dark plasma, blasting the blood waves apart and launching itself back into the sky. The display of power was terrifying—Middle Alpha–Omega Overgods would have been dragged under and annihilated in seconds.

Yet the Omen Beast paid a heavy price.

That eruption consumed an enormous amount of energy and life force.

Before Sky Terror could even draw another breath, Morningstar was already there.

His weapon reshaped into a massive halberd as he swung it with overwhelming force, carving straight through the beast’s back.

The blow was so powerful that it severed one of Sky Terror’s wings. A wing that the blood ocean consumed in seconds.

The Omen Beast screamed in agony, twisting its neck to unleash a concentrated beam of dark plasma toward Morningstar.

Unfortunately for Sky Terror, its greatest strength was also its greatest weakness.

Its immense size.

With speed and skill that fitted perfectly to his frame, Morningstar laughed as he leapt skyward, dodging the beam with ease before plunging back down to continue his assault.

Deep within Sky Terror’s body, the Crown Prince frowned.

The coldness and killing intent in his heart intensified as he sensed the damage being inflicted on the Omen Beast, and realized that unless he did something fast, he would lose. Yet as his perception brushed against the Ocean of the Blood Sun, that fury slowly twisted into an ominous smile.

”The soul that has taken the Ocean of the Blood Sun as its host...

It is the one controlling the trio.”

His smile widened.

The Crown Prince’s true Ancestor Power had never been Omen Beast manipulation.

That was a lie—a convenient one.

If others knew the true nature of his power, no one would ever dare approach him.

”I possess a limited number of slots,” the Crown Prince murmured inwardly. ”I had intended to reserve the last one for my father or the High Prince of the Aztorus Kingdom. But they never appeared.”

His gaze sharpened.

”This... may be an even greater prize.”

Allowing Sky Terror to fight on instinct alone, the Crown Prince reduced the beast’s combat efficiency—but it did not matter. Once his plan succeeded, the battle would end instantly.

He took a slow, steady breath.

Then closed his eyes.

His soul surged outward, forging a channel that connected directly to the Ocean of the Blood Sun.

”Soul Manipulation.”

The moment the words left his lips, an invisible bridge formed—linking his soul to the vast, crimson consciousness beneath the battlefield.
