Rebirth: The Courtyard Bride Is Cool and Radiant

Chapter 794: Chapter 794: Put in Confinement

What Xia Dongxue and Jiang Jingya are concerned about is whether Yunyi should or can return to Beijing for schooling, whereas Yuan Yuxun, the mentor, is concerned about which university she will apply to and what major she will choose.

Yunyi has long made up her mind to apply for Beijing Medical College, the predecessor of the future Beijing University Medical Department.

As for the Traditional Chinese Medical Skills she inherited from the Chu Family and the Yuan Family, she knows that the Capital Medical University Traditional Chinese Medicine School will be established next year. By then, with her mentor’s recommendation, taking the school examination should be no problem to get a certificate.

Of course Yunyi had nothing to hide from her mentor: ”I want to apply for Beijing Medical College. After learning from you for so long, I must find a place to showcase; what do you think?”

Yuan Yuxun, having obtained the answer he wanted, laughed directly: ”Good, good, good. Knowing your thought, your mentor can be at ease.”

Yunyi is actually too outstanding, he feels uneasy, fearing that Yunyi might choose another major, given that medical students endure the most hardship and fatigue.

The mentor and apprentice talked for quite some time, without hearing Yuan Zining’s voice: ”Master, what about Zining? Why haven’t I heard his voice for such a long time?”

Yuan Yuxun felt a headache hearing his grandson’s name: ”I’ve grounded him.”

Yunyi paused for a moment when she heard this: ”What happened?”

Yuan Yuxun replied grumpily: ”Forming cliques to isolate another kid from the alley.”

Yunyi didn’t completely buy it when she heard this: ”Master, Zining is not that kind of child. There must be a misunderstanding. You can’t hurt Zining’s heart just for the sake of face; he is still a child.”

Yuan Yuxun also knew Yunyi was right: ”That kid indeed has a slightly odd character, not very likable. But Zining did lead to avoid playing with him; the kid cried to tears and was brought here by his parents. I can’t just shield him.”

”Then when his grounding time is over, have him call me. I’ll talk to him.”

Yuan Yuxun knew that his grandson was wronged today. But at the time, the little guy was quite stubborn, giving no face to others, speaking straightforwardly at such a young age. He was so angry that he punished him.

But the words had been said, and it wouldn’t be right to go back on them.

He had intended to have a good talk with him when the grounding time was over: ”Alright, I’ll tell him in a while.”

The two chatted for a while longer, and only then did Yunyi hang up the phone.

But it was destined to be an extraordinary day. Just as the phone was hung up and her hand hadn’t left the receiver, the phone rang again: ”Sis, I was dying of anxiety, the phone wouldn’t connect.”

After taking a breath, Ye Wenhui suddenly choked up: ”Sis, the college entrance exams have really resumed.”

Yunyi could understand her feelings but still jokingly said: ”I told you before, opportunities are for those who are prepared. Why are you still procrastinating here? Hurry up and review.”

Ye Wenhui laughed upon hearing Yunyi’s words: ”Okay, I’m using the phone at the venue, and there are plenty of people in line behind. I really shouldn’t be procrastinating here. I’m hanging up.”

Just as the phone was hung up, someone knocked at the door.

Yunyi got up and went out to the yard: ”Who is it?”

A voice came from outside: ”Doctor Chu, open the door.”

Upon hearing this voice, Yunyi couldn’t help but frown. What was Granny Qi doing here?

Despite that, she still walked over and opened the door: ”Auntie, do you have something to discuss with me?”

Behind Granny Qi was a girl who kept peeking into the courtyard, making Yunyi even more dislike them: ”What do you want?”

Granny Qi glanced at the girl behind her: ”Everyone was yelling just now that the college entrance exams have resumed. My niece also attended high school for a year. If it weren’t for an arm injury, she wouldn’t have dropped out. Her grades were great. I figured since you all are educated people, you might have access to study materials, so I brought my niece here to ask.”

Seeing Granny Qi occasionally glancing at her niece, Yunyi knew that the suggestion must have come from the girl behind. But Granny Qi really had a thick skin. Only a few days ago did she cause trouble for her family, and she already forgot?

Really forgetful.
