Beast Taming: the More the Better

Chapter 214: Chapter 143: The Best Supplement! The Effect of Heart of the Wolf!_2

After consumption, it would increase a Pet Beast’s energy burst power for a certain period.

The hexagonal snowflake crystal was an Elite Level Ice System resource. When consumed by a Snow Wolf, it would partially transform the snowflakes in its ’Wind Snow Homecoming’ skill into hexagonal ones, thereby enhancing the skill’s power.

Everyone snapped back to reality. Su Ping then retrieved the box containing the Heart of the Wolf potion from his Beast Taming Space.

He took out two prepared vials of the Heart of the Wolf Magic Potion.

He then went directly to the testing ground.

The preliminary test was very simple.

Vice President Liu brought the Snow Wolf and the Sand Wolf to the laboratory’s energy impact test post.

Under his command, a howling sandstorm from the Sand Wolf struck the test post.

A line of text soon appeared on the screen behind the test post.

[Wind, Earth Element skill attack, assessing skill as: Sand Assault (Sand Wolf), Pet Beast’s own Level: Elite Sixth Rank, estimated Skill Level as: Proficient Level, skill attack power intensity: 94]

[Wind, Earth Element skill attack, assessing skill as: Sand Assault (Sand Wolf), Pet Beast’s own Level: Elite Seventh Rank, estimated Skill Level as: Proficient Level, skill attack power intensity: 101]

Why don’t I have this thing?

Su Ping blinked. This device is quite convenient!

The attacks from the two Sand Wolves were almost identical in power. Next, without Su Ping needing to say more, Vice President Liu, who had already devised a testing method, gave Su Ping a meaningful glance.

Su Ping passed a vial of the Heart of the Wolf potion to the Elite Sixth Rank Sand Wolf and had it consume it.

AWOOO~

An extremely excited howl came from the mouth of the Elite Sixth Rank Sand Wolf.

Visibly, in less than a minute, the Sand Wolf’s powerful digestive ability allowed it to completely assimilate the Heart of the Wolf potion.

Old Liu had already administered the two prepared vials of Energy Burst Potion to both Sand Wolves.

BOOM!

Under the enhancement of the Energy Burst Potion, the auras of the two Elite Sand Wolves became terrifying.

Especially the Elite Sixth Rank Forest Wolf, which had consumed the Heart of the Wolf Magic Potion; its eyes even began to turn red.

It began to pace back and forth, excited and even agitated.

Fortunately, Old Liu’s spiritual power kept it restrained, so nothing untoward occurred.

Meanwhile, at his command, the two Sand Wolves launched their attacks at the test post again!

[Wind, Earth Element skill attack, assessing skill as: Sand Assault (Sand Wolf), Pet Beast’s own Level: Elite Sixth Rank, estimated Skill Level as: Proficient Level, skill attack power intensity: 141]

[Wind, Earth Element skill attack, assessing skill as: Sand Assault (Sand Wolf), Pet Beast’s own Level: Elite Seventh Rank, estimated Skill Level as: Proficient Level, skill attack power intensity: 133]

The data feedback displayed on the screen once more left everyone present slightly stunned.

After consuming the Energy Burst Potion, it was clear that the skill power of the two Sand Wolves had increased explosively.

Normally, this Low-level Energy Burst Potion would increase power by approximately thirty percent.

Without a doubt, the power unleashed by the Elite Seventh Rank Sand Wolf was correct.

However, the power of the Sand Assault from the Elite Sixth Rank Sand Wolf seemed off!

Considering its previous power was only 94, even accounting for data fluctuations, this increase was a bit too much.

A single Energy Burst Potion had actually increased its power by a full forty percent! Compared to a normal Energy Burst Potion, this was an additional ten percent increase in power, meaning the Heart of the Wolf enhanced the potion’s effect by over thirty percent!?

The increase might not seem that large, especially considering the Heart of the Wolf could be even more expensive than an Energy Burst Potion.

However, it was important to remember this was merely a straightforward, observable test.

Normally, no one would be foolish enough to use the absorption-enhancing effect of the Heart of the Wolf Magic Potion on a mere Energy Burst Potion.

The latter was just a Low-level potion with a temporary effect.

But what if it were applied to Magic Potions for Cultivation Skills, increasing Realms, accelerating growth, or even those that help a Pet Beast achieve Evolution?

With the Heart of the Wolf as an auxiliary potion, wouldn’t it be equivalent to adding an extra half-dose effect to any Magic Potion consumed?

What did this imply? The answer was self-evident.

Vice President Liu blinked, suppressing the turbulent emotions in his heart. He hurriedly commanded the excited Sand Wolf to attack again. Multiple tests were needed to truly ascertain the effect.

And sure enough, the effect became clear:

[141, 142, 144...]

”How is its power still increasing?” Sun Chaoju complained from the side. Su Ping and Vice President Liu, however, understood.

This was a natural increase occurring as time passed, with the potion still in its absorption phase.

Once the potion’s effects fully manifested and then began to wane, the power level would naturally decrease again.

Nevertheless, the effectiveness of the Heart of the Wolf was undeniably confirmed on the Sand Wolf—and it was a significant confirmation at that!

This time, no instructions were needed. The trial of the Magic Potion continued, and next, it was undoubtedly the Snow Wolf’s turn.

The steps were the same, the process was the same, and ultimately, the results were the same.

In fact, the results were even more astounding than those from the Sand Wolf moments before.

Consuming the hexagonal snowflake was fundamentally intended to enhance the power of the Snow Wolf’s ’Wind Snow Homecoming’ skill.
