Global Invasion: I Can Card BUG

Chapter 54 Trap

Chapter 54 Trap
Following in the footsteps of the fleeing goblins, the four went deeper and deeper into the cave.

After walking to the back, everyone found that the inside was well-connected.

After almost finishing a passage, a fork in the road appeared in front of them, making it difficult for them to find which way was the real lair of the goblin.

They are also more and more sure that these goblins have the ability to punch holes.

But that’s all, the fate of these goblins will end today!

Everyone was chasing after the goblin running in front of them. Everyone clenched the weapons in their hands, without saying a word, and there was a vigorous fighting spirit in their eyes before the battle.

Humans are highly adaptable creatures. In just fifteen days after the invasion of another world, it was enough for those with strong psychological quality and strength to grow up quickly.

Among the four of them, the captain is a Tier [-] master. With the convenience of weapons and equipment, it is no problem for one person to contain and fight against several Goblin vanguards.

And the other three are also senior zero-level masters who are close to the first level. They are only short of stepping into the first level, and their strength is far beyond that of ordinary people.

People are not strong with force, but rely on wisdom and weapons to gain a foothold.

With the weapons made by the blacksmiths of the base, their real combat power is actually no different from that of the first order.

”This way!” The heavy knight captain who had been charging forward roared and turned around a corner in an instant.

The cave passage after the corner was as narrow as before, and the four of them could only trot in one after the other.

His heavy armor babbled while running, and he didn’t intend to hide his movements at all. Under the illumination of Yan Xiaoyu’s strong flashlight behind him, it reflected the texture of metal.

All the equipment of their team was prepared for killing goblins. There were plenty of arrows, well-polished and sharp weapons, some well-prepared potions, and so on.

Everything has already been prepared, you only need to find the Goblin’s stronghold, and you can have a hearty battle.

Even in the face of dozens of goblins, the four of them were not afraid.

Not long after turning the corner, they saw a faint light at the end of the passage, which seemed to be the destination of their trip.

”Everyone is ready to fight!”

The heavy knight captain took the lead, carrying the diamond-shaped shield and rushing towards the light.

Even if a goblin shooter is ambushing inside and sprinkles dozens of arrows in an instant, he can perfectly block it.

This is his confidence in his own strength!
But when he charged into that place of light, it was not a rain of arrows from goblins, nor a hail of flying stones, to meet him.

It is a miserable place, a desolate place where even the light of hope cannot cover the darkness.

This is a cave with a small space, and there is a large gap at the top of the cave.

The scorching sun at noon was shining into the cave with a fiery light, making it rare for this cave to have no cold and damp places.

It can be more sinister than cold and damp, but it happens to represent the light of hope.

In the place where the light shines, there are several women who are only covered with leather cloth. The wounds on their bodies are unsightly, and the haggard and withered faces are lifeless and dazed. It seems that they have all suffered extremely cruel torture.

Even for the four people who broke in, they didn’t feel anything, as if they didn’t realize that anyone was coming to save them.

Even in other corners of the cave, there are still many dead bones with shredded meat, and there are still traces of Goblin’s sharp teeth gnawing on them.

Each pile of dry bones represents the soul of a dead woman.

And those women who were lying on the ground and exposed to the sun seemed to be no different from those dry bones, lying on the ground as quietly as dry bones, without making any sound.

Some of them closed their eyes, and some looked at the ground blankly, as if they were dead.

The only difference is that they still have flesh and blood, enveloping their dark and hidden souls.

Judging from their haggard bodies now, the blazing sun shining on them brought them not hope, but the pain and torture that added insult to injury.

The three people who followed were stunned by the scene in front of them, and almost all of them froze in place, at a loss.

After being dazed, anger erupted like a volcanic eruption.

The captain was the first to react, and suppressed the anger in his heart and ordered in a deep voice: ”Yan Xiaoyu, go and see if they are still breathing, and the others are alert around, those goblins who escaped in don’t know where they are yet. .”

Everyone took action immediately, and the female archer bent her bow and set her arrows to aim at the top of the cave, lest there be goblins condescendingly attacking from the gap above.

The longsword warrior looked around inside, with a solemn and cautious expression, in case there was a goblin hiding somewhere.

The heavy knight captain blocked the incoming passage with a diamond-shaped shield.

The narrow passage didn’t have much space, and with the size of the shield, he was as indestructible as an iron gate that couldn’t be broken through.

Yan Xiaoyu walked up to the women lying on the ground, bent down, gently lifted the women up, and touched the tip of their noses with his fingers.

”They are still alive!” Yan Xiaoyu said happily, and his words made the three people who were on guard couldn’t help but be happy.

Although his breathing was very weak, Yan Xiaoyu still keenly felt the wisps of exhaled air, which were as weak but firm as the grass growing on the rocks.

Seeing that they were still alive, Yan Xiaoyu quickly took off his cloak, gently spread it on the poor women, and moved them to a cool place.

But when he saw the dazed eyes of one of the women, the desperation and numbness revealed in those eyes still made him clench his fists slightly, and his teeth clenched and made a gurgling sound.

”Don’t worry, it’s all right.” He said softly, regardless of whether the woman in his arms still had the consciousness to listen.

The longsword warrior who was searching the corner of this cave also seemed to have discovered something at this time, and suddenly shouted: ”Captain, there is a small hole here!”

The captain of the heavy knight quickly turned around and looked at the place pointed by the sword warrior, only to see that there was a small hole there, like a dog hole in the wall.

The captain made an estimate and found that the hole was just big enough for a small goblin to get in. It seemed that it was specially drilled by goblins.

Something is wrong!
Those few goblins that slipped through the net not only failed to bring them to the base camp, but also got into a small hole and escaped?
”Did you find anything else? Did those goblins get into the small hole and escape?” the heavy knight captain asked.

The longsword warrior replied: ”There is no other discovery. Those goblins can’t be found at all. They probably got out of a small hole!”

A small hole specially dug for escape.

The cave where the captives were held.

There are also a few goblins who seem to have fled back to the base camp in a panic, but actually brought them here.
These situations and clues were gradually collected and summarized by the heavy knight captain, and each point began to be connected with each other, gradually forming an extremely clear channel in his mind.

And at the end of this passage, there was a terrible fact that made him break out in cold sweat.

”Everyone is ready to break out and escape!” The heavy knight captain shouted sharply.

The other three team members who were doing the task at hand all turned their heads to look at the passage guarded by the captain, but they didn’t find the expected enemy figure.

”Captain, what’s wrong?” the female archer asked suspiciously.

”I suspect that there is a trap here, so prepare quickly, we will rush out immediately!” the captain said with a frown.

Yan Xiaoyu looked confused, and quickly asked: ”But what about these women? Is it possible to keep them?”

”Let’s talk about it after escaping to save my life!” The heavy knight captain said.

Yan Xiaoyu looked at the women lying on the ground, and at the captain who was ready to rush out.

In the end, he gritted his teeth, said sorry, and followed the pace of his teammates to the entryway.

However, not long after the four of them walked in the passage, they saw a thick smoke spreading from outside.

There are some black particles in the white smoke, like the white mist evaporating from hell, pouring into the narrow passage with an ominous breath, as if to keep all of them here.

Then drag them to hell.

Huh huh, the title of the chapter just now was posted wrongly, no one brought it up, probably because no one saw it here.
